But back to the point, since this patch adds a new class, Huntress, how does she perform among all the classes? Which class performs best after this patch?

No.7 Warrior

• Warrior Difficulty: Medium to Hard

Is it surprising? Warrior is the best class in speedrunning, but it is the worst class in patch 0.2.0! In fact, Warrior’s performance in patch 0.1.0 was already very poor.

Warrior in other games is a relatively balanced class, with damage and survival basically balanced, and the operation difficulty is not high. But Warrior in POE 2 is a little different. Although he has high armor and strong melee damage, making this class difficult to die in the campaign, you should not forget that many bosses in Path of Exile 2 are very difficult and they are good at using various elemental damage, so Warrior’s high armor loses its advantage.

Secondly, compared with other classes, Warrior’s speed is a bit slow, and he can’t avoid some powerful skills in time. In the endgame, many bosses release skills quickly and damage high, and Warrior can’t withstand such damage.

Finally, as a melee class, Warrior’s efficiency in leveling and farming currency in the early game is low, and this shortcoming will be more fatal in 0.2.0.

No.6 Huntress

Surprising, right? You must have heard a lot about Huntress being a very OP class in patch 0.2.0, but why is she ranked sixth?

Huntress is a class that relies on operation. If you are good at using her Parry skill, you will definitely fall in love with this class. But just like Parry in Dark Souls, this is a high-risk, high-reward skill. You need to fight with the enemy in close combat and use Parry to interrupt their skills, and then use your other skills to kill them.

But it is very dangerous to enter the encirclement of monsters, and Huntress does not have the vigorous defense like Warrior. Therefore, Huntress is a class suitable for advanced players.

Huntress is not very powerful in the early game, and her true power can only be shown in the late game. However, due to the failed adjustment of the 0.2.0 patch, the entire early stage will be difficult.

No.5 Witch

• Witch Playstyle: Combining summons with ranged attacks
• Witch Difficulty: Medium to Hard

The 0.2.0 patch made some enhancements to the summoner class, but this patch enhanced more monsters, which made the situation of Witch in the early stage of game worse, otherwise Witch would definitely not be ranked only fifth.

Witch is a relatively simple class, but summoning minions requires Spirit, so Witch is best equipped with a +100 Spirit wand in the off-hand in the early game. If you haven’t obtained it after completing the first act, you’d better buy POE 2 Currency and exchange such a weapon with other players.

No.4 Sorceress

Sorceress is the best class in patch 0.1.0 because it is simple, has high damage, and has survivability. If you are a new player of POE 2, then I definitely recommend you to play Sorceress.

But in patch 0.2.0, the developers made malicious nerfs to the best builds in the previous patch. Who is the biggest victim? The answer is Sorceress. As a caster character, even if Sorceress has an energy shield, it cannot make up for her shortcoming of not being able to withstand too much damage.

Sorceress is not in a pleasant situation in this patch, but if you plan to take it easy in the early stage, Sorceress is still a good choice.

No.3 Ranger

• Ranger Playstyle: Moves quickly around the battlefield and uses ranged attacks
• Ranger Difficulty: Medium

Ranger shouldn’t have been better than Sorceress, but the monsters’ movement speed has increased, and Ranger’s advantage has been reflected. Although the damage is not necessarily higher than Sorceress, Ranger’s use of ranged attacks, fast movement speed, and use of Evasion as the main survival skill allow Ranger to safely deal with various enemies.

No.2 Monk

• Primary Attributes: Dexterity and Intelligence
• Primary Weapon: Quarterstaff
• Monk Playstyle: Combination of melee and ranged, high DPS
• Monk Difficulty: Medium

Monk is a very agile melee class that can also use spells to cause elemental damage to enemies. Monk’s operation is a bit complicated, but his high damage makes up for it. As long as you have the right skill set, you can melt your enemies quickly.

This is especially valuable in new leagues where enemies are buffed. However, Monk still relies on weapons and weapon modifiers. If you get a good Quarterstaff early in the game, try using currency to change its quality and add new affixes.

No.1 Mercenary

• Primary Attributes: Dexterity and Strength
• Primary Weapon: Crossbow
• Mercenary Playstyle: Uses ranged attacks that can deal lots of damage
• Mercenary Difficulty: Easy to Medium

Mercenary doesn’t have the high-speed movement of Ranger, but he can make up for his shortcomings by creating explosions that slow down enemies and cause them to take damage continuously.

Although many of the projectile-related skills have been significantly weakened in the 0.2.0 patch, Mercenary can deal with enemies with a variety of means. He can create ice walls and stun nearby enemies. Mercenary also has higher armor than Ranger, making him more survivable.

In short, Mercenary is a simple and rough class. If you don’t want to be tortured by the monsters in the new patch, you can choose to play Mercenary.

On April 4, Path of Exile 2 patch 0.2.0 was officially launched. In this new league, all players need to start from scratch. Build Summary

• Advantages: Quickly clear mobs and high mobility.

Bleed Huntress can use bleeding to inflict a lot of continuous damage on the enemy, and detonate all the bleeding damage you cause, causing huge burst damage. This is mainly achieved through Spirit Gem Herald of Ash.

Herald of Ash has two effects:

• 1. Ignite nearby enemies if Overkill damage is at least 20% of the enemy’s maximum health
• 2. Creates an explosion with a radius of 1 meter that ignites enemies for 3 seconds with a base Ignition damage of (16.67–23)% of Overkill damage

Equipment

Weapons

The attributes required for Huntress are Dexterity and Strength. Since this build is good against groups of enemies, but not so good against single enemies, especially elite enemies, Huntress’s weapon needs to give her extra damage.

When choosing a weapon, it is best to look for the following affixes:

• Increase physical damage
• Increase accuracy
• Increase Dexterity
• Increase Strength

The above affixes can effectively increase the damage to Huntress. If you never get a suitable weapon in the campaign, you can buy POE 2 Currency and then exchange it with other players for a suitable weapon.

Armor

For the attributes of armor, you still need to focus on Dexterity and Strength. Strength can improve your survivability, and Dexterity can improve our skills.

When you reach the late game, you need to change your mindset and replace as much armor as possible with evasion rating, and try to get at least 70%. Because the damage of monsters and bosses in the late game is very high, the best way to survive on the battlefield is to use evasion to avoid enemy skills.

Accessories

The various amulets and rings in the game are very rare and very powerful. Physical damage and Attributes are the first modifiers you should consider when choosing Accessories, followed by elemental resistance. Improving elemental resistance can effectively improve your survivability.

Runes

Although Runes in the game can be dropped by killing monsters like POE 2 currency, they are not common. If you are lucky enough to get Runes in the early game, you can install them in your weapons and armor.

Here is a recommendation on how to install Runes:

• Armor: Glacial Rune, Storm Rune, Desert Rune

Skills

Skills are the most critical part of the entire build. Since it is a leveling build, the skills used in different acts are also different. Here are the skills required for each act and the corresponding support gems. The earlier the support gems are, the more important they are.

Act I

Because of the level limit in Act 1, bleeding builds have not yet been formed, so you need to use Whirling Slash and Twister to clear the monster group.

In Act II, you need to remove some useless skill gems and gradually replace them with skills needed for Bleed Huntress, such as Rapid Assault, Rake, Blood Hunt, Bloodhound’s Mark, and Herald of Blood. Rake obtained in Act II is your main output skill in battle.

When you get Whirlwind Lance skill, your fighting style will change again. You can use tornadoes to fight, and can detonate tornadoes to cause large burst damage.

Passive Skill Tree

The passive skill tree should get as much damage and critical chance as possible. The damage of bleeding depends on each blow that triggers bleeding, so increasing the damage is the easiest way to extend the duration of bleeding.

Since Huntress has a slow attack speed when using the spear, attack speed is also a good choice.
