Source: IGGMWild Gods serves as a key quest chain in WOW Classic SOD Phase 3, where each class can obtain a new rune. But to complete this quest, players also need to collect three Wild Offerings from three new dungeons: Maraudon, Zul’Farrak, and Blackrock Depths.
In this guide, we’ll explain what other uses Wild Offerings have, how to get them, and some of the best tips for farming offerings in SoD Phase 3. Let’s get straight to it!
Wild Offerings Explained
Wild Offerings are quest items required to complete Wild Gods, which are looted from Delirious Ancient. These Offerings can be used both to complete quests and to unlock BiS items in SoD Phase 3, and are items that can only be obtained after completing Wild Gods questline.
How To Get Wild Offerings?
This quest begins in Feralas and requires players to obtain Whispering Draught from Jintha’alor in Hinterlands, then defeat the last boss of Razorfen Downs to speak to Spirit of Agamaggan.
After the first part of the mission, players are sent into three dungeons to defeat Delirious Ancients, who can only be summoned using Draught after defeating each dungeon’s ultimate boss.
In Maraudon, players must defeat Princess Theradras to summon Delirious Ancients. In Zul’Farrak, players need to defeat three bosses, including Gahz’rilla, to see it. Finally, to challenge it in Blackrock Depths, players must complete Ring of Law encounter at the end of Detention Block.
Delirious Ancients will drop a Wild Offering for each member of the group involved in taking it down. Therefore, I recommend that you take a group of 10 to these three dungeons to take down these bosses quickly. Don’t forget, spending WOW Classic SOD Gold to get some decent gear can make your raids go much smoother.
You need three Wild Offerings to complete Wild Gods quest chain, which will then reward one rune per class. It is worth noting that Shadowtooth Emissary at the beginning and end of the mission also acts as a vendor, where you can exchange the excess Wild Offerings for the previous Unique Pre-BiS gear.
Farming Tips
As I said before, to farm Wild Offerings, players can choose one of three methods: run Maraudon and Zul’Farrak, or complete the first part of Blackrock Depths, which is available in Phase 3.
After testing, it wasn’t hard to find that Blackrock Depths is the slowest of the three farming methods, but it does reward Phase 3 with a range of Pre-BiS gear, and is worth running alone.
If you want to specialize in farming Wild Offerings, Maraudon and Zul’Farrak are your fastest and best options. But if you just want to get some Offerings while getting other BiS gear, Blackrock Depths is a slower source of loot but offers better gear than Maraudon or Zul’Farrak.
Maraudon
To run Maraudon to get Wild Offerings, players need two things: Scepter of Celebras, and a party that knows how to skip certain elements of the dungeon.
Scepter of Celebras is the reward for clearing most of Maraudon wings, so consider running a full instance with your team first so everyone can skip if necessary.
After obtaining Scepter, you need to go to the portal room outside the purple wing tunnel and activate it to generate a portal that leads to the base of the waterfall in the second half of Purple Wing of Maraudon.
For optimal efficiency, I recommend sneaking past Hydra at the start. Deal with the wandering mobs as you encounter them, and cling to walls and walkways to protect against Stone Giant’s attacks. If you can jump over most enemies this way, you should only have to enter combat a few times to collect three Offerings.
Finally, defeat Princess Theradras and use Agamaggan’s Roar to attack Delirious Ancient surrounding the arena.
After knocking them down and obtaining their Wild Offerings, jump from the nearby ledge into the water and exit. You will log back in at the instance entrance, and you can then reset to return to another Wild Offering farming location.
Zul’Farrak
Farming Zul’Farrak is almost as simple as Maraudon, but if the group takes it too casually, it can fail.
Maraudon’s enemies will not run away and pull other groups together when they are on the verge of death, and groups will be further apart. But in Zul’Farrak, hordes of enemies are so close that you have to carefully walk on the walls and hills surrounding the main dungeon path to get through.
Additionally, Maraudon only requires you to kill Princess Theradras, but in Zul’Farrak, you have to defeat three bosses in the dungeon to see Delirious Ancient, including Gahz’rilla. This boss can only be summoned in Hinterlands after obtaining Mallet of Zul’Farrak.
Besides Gahz’rilla, you’ll also need to kill the nearby Hydromancer Boss and Witch Doctor in front of the main pyramid square to get the fastest route. When Delirious Ancient finally shows up, you’ll see the “you feel a shadowy presence” emote in chat.
Delirious Ancient will spawn in Gahz’rilla boss room, so use Agamaggan’s Roar to reveal and defeat it, then return to the front of the instance to reset.
Farming Zul’Farrak effectively can be trickier than Maraudon because of the increased boss summoning requirements and density of monsters. However, the enemies in Zul’Farrak are much lower level than those in Maraudon, which can make for a smoother experience with the right team.
Regardless, it’s up to you to choose the best way to farm Wild Offerings based on your play style. Hope this guide helps!
