Source: IGGMWith WoW Classic Season of Discovery Phase 2 is just around the corner, some players are concerned about the Scarlet Monastery Graveyard. To assist you all with this, I'd like to share some crucial insights. A shoutout to the homies Netherwind and Tay won from the Mage Discord for providing some of this information.
Concerns
With the Nerfs to Living Flame healing, your current concern might be how difficult the first half of Scarlet Monastery Graveyard will be. There are a lot of humanoid Elites here, and you won’t be able to Blizzard kite them since your healing is crippled. You might not know if you’ll face tank these without dying, so you might consider using a safe spot to skip the first half of the instance.
Prepare enough WoW SOD Gold in advance to help you pass Scarlet Monastery smoothly the Graveyard dungeon.
Essential Items
You might not know if you will need some items at Level 31, especially if you are in here with World Buff 20% move speed to get to this location at Level 25, though you’re using both Swiftness Potion and Target Dummies. Target Dummies probably aren’t needed. Swiftness Potions might be recommended because losing BFD buff to a bad day would really suck.
You start the pull by casting Mana Shield. Make sure you have Mana Shield up the entire time during this run. For those who don’t know, you can’t be dazed if you have Shield buff up. You spam Mana Shield not only to help you survive the damage but to prevent the daze. When you cut this corner, you try and blink between the wall and the rack. Be careful not to accidentally blink into the Rack or you’ll get stuck and die like this.
You pop Swiftness Potion around this time and always make sure you try and face the mobs to avoid the daze. You’ve been dropping your target at the bottom of the stairs. This is to prevent the casters from getting up to the top and hitting you while you’re getting to your safe spot. You do not think Target Dummies will be needed though it’s just a safety thing. You then just jump onto this ledge right here and wait for the mobs to reset. It may take a couple jumps but keep trying to get up.
Level 25
This is obviously way harder at Level 25. At Level 31, you’ll have more HP, mana. You were only successfully able to get to this corner once at Level 25. You did have World Buff when you did it, but you could jump up the ledge at 20% move speed.
You assume you can still do it without World buff, but you have at least confirmed gnome hitboxes aren’t struggling in this current build. With the damage increase to Living Flame being more consistent on stacked mobs, you have a feeling this Blizzard kill phase is going to be super easy.
Phase 2 Prerparation
If you want to see you learn and practice this farm in real-time, you’ll be live streaming for Phase 2 launch. You’ll be speed Leveling at 40. You have a feeling group play might be better than solo Mage, at least for the later half of Level 35 through Level 40.
