Source: IGGMWith WOW Classic SOD Phase 2 coming soon, today we are discussing the five things you need to do first when entering Season of Discovery Phase 2.
Now it is very important to follow everything in this guide. Because if you do this, you’ll be able to go into Gnomeregan Raid and clear it completely in the first week. This will give you a huge gear advantage. And its advantages will snowball into areas such as Gurubashi Arena, Blood Moon events, and of course, gold making. So let’s get started.
Phase 2 Goals
First, let’s talk about goals. Our biggest goal for the first week is to completely clear every boss in Gnomeregan.
Of course, the developers gave us a full week to do the initial lockdown. Even though they say the raid will be incredibly easy, we still know that at least one boss will be like a brick wall that will decimate an unprepared group.
The worst thing you need to avoid is failing to clear all bosses completely. Because you’ll miss out on epic loot, that may not drop during the rest of this phase.
Besides this, we also need to develop strategies for gold making and profession gear farming related to raiding, and maximize them as quickly as possible. Of course, you’ll want to farm as many Gnomeregan as possible if you don’t want to miss out on the chance to get the maximum rewards in PVP events.
Leveling Up
The first thing we need to do after entering Phase 2 is to reach level 40 as quickly as possible.
Almost everyone plans to do a group dungeon clear. We need to complete at least 20 tasks in the early stage and get a bunch of extra items before we can quickly jump to level 28. In the meantime, we plan to clear BFD later, which has leaked about 23,000 EXP. There’s a good chance this number will go up, though, so we’ll have to wait and see,
Then we’ll get to level 40 with RFK lockouts and Scarlet Monastery while avoiding ganks entirely.
Not to mention that in Phase 2 you will get comprehensive World Buffs and can speed up leveling by consuming a lot of engineering materials and piles of Mana Potions. Therefore, I predict that the first teams to reach level 40 will do so within 10 hours.
But as long as you have a dedicated group early in the leveling process, you really shouldn’t be that far behind.
Also, I plan to quickly push my engineering to a high enough level to get key items such as Advanced Target Dummy for leveling. Since my inventory will be filled with pre-quest materials, I plan to mail in all Engineering materials for getting items like Explosive Sheep from my alt.
Gear
The developers have massively updated the stats of most crafted BoEs and dungeon drops in Phase 2. For example, Long Silken Cloak would be a very good gear choice, perfect for my Shadow Priest. Because they added 7 spell power to it.
While I would never have touched it before, Earthen Silk Belt is now a huge upgrade with 18 points of healing power. You can get these gear as quickly as possible and upgrade them instantly.
Update Gear
Also, don’t forget to update your gear while playing the game. You get free ring upgrades at level 28, as well as Pre-BiS level 38 rings, new cloaks, new weapons, definitely worth replacing as you level up.
If you have any runes on your gear, they will be of great help to Gnomeregan. So this would be a good time to get them, and a lot of these runes will be unknown on day one. If you enter Gnomeregan with runes, this will significantly increase your chances of success.
We expect the upgrade to be completed within 10 to 15 hours. Our professions have been maxed out and we’ve also acquired all newly crafted Pre-BiS gear.
Gnomeregan
It’s time to head to Gnomeregan. The most important thing by far is maximizing your chances of a complete clear-out. We have a full week to clear the raid, but if you go in with a raid pug too quickly and disband, you’ll lose lock.
Before starting Gnomeregan, I recommend spending WOW Classic SOD Gold to purchase a complete set of Fire Protection Potion and Nature Protection Potion. We also definitely want the new Greater Mana Potion on all casters, as well as the best Stamina foods.
You need to make sure everyone in your raid has plenty of time to participate in the raid. If someone leaves during a raid, replacing them is nearly impossible.
Because we’re going to clear raids early, we’re going to maximize our chances of getting epics every time we lock them. We will also be able to get new modes for Tailoring, Enchanting, Engineering and all other professions. You need to consider that this is a window to maximize your profits within the first few days after a raid clears.
Maximize Your Profits
To maximize your gains, you must maximize your chances of obtaining these recipes in all epics. You can then head directly to STV to start Gnome Slaughter in Blood Moon event.
There will be new weapons, new rings, new trinkets, tons of rewards in this event, and the earlier you start, the better you can use them to destroy anything in this system.
Of course, the sooner you enter Gurubashi Arena, the sooner you can get Arena Master. This is absolutely huge for guaranteeing victory in various early Duel Tournaments.
Overall, the most important thing about Phase 2 is to have as much fun as possible. Even if things don’t go as planned, we can still have absolute fun in the new phase. If you just want to chill, explore, and clear Gnomeregan at your own pace, then don’t miss this guide!
