Source: IGGMAs Lieutenant Titus of the Ultramarine in Warhammer 40000 Space Marine 2, you are tasked with defending the planets that belong to the Imperium of Man. This guide aims to help you gain an edge in the Campaign and the tense Operations mode by providing key combat strategies and tips.
1. Support Each Other With Teammates
In Warhammer 40000 Space Marine 2, you can choose to fight alone, alongside AI teammates, or team up with up to three players to participate in the campaign and operations mode. In addition, Eternal War also offers a team-based PvP.
In Campaign and Operations, when teammates are knocked down by the enemy, you can support your teammates and revive them within a limited time. However, in Operations mode, your chances of survival in each mission are limited, depending on the difficulty level you choose. On lower and medium difficulties, you may be incapacitated twice before suffering a Mortal Wound. However, with higher difficulties, the first incapacity can be fatal.
If you have a companion, they can help you respawn at the next checkpoint. But if you are playing a single-player game, this will mean mission failure. Therefore, it is crucial to ensure your survival in action mode, especially when playing single-player.
2. Medicare Stims & Guardian Relics
To restore lost health, you can use Medicae Stimms, which can restore lost health, but they are consumables and you can only carry two Medicae Stimms at a time. In addition, you can also collect Guardian Relics by completing missions. These relics can be used to resurrect yourself when you are incapacitated. As you progress further in the game, the more difficult the missions you face will be. If you want to avoid monotony and enjoy the game at ease, you can consider using Warhammer 40000 Space Marine 2 Boosting.
3. Time Your Dodges And Parries
Enemy attacks, whether Tyranid or Chaos-aligned, will signal an attack. When you see a flashing red icon appear on the screen, press the spacebar to dodge the attack. If you see a flashing blue icon, you’ll need to quickly press “C” key to block.
If timed well, these moves can instantly knock a stronger enemy off balance or even kill a weaker one. Once you see a red crosshair appear over an enemy’s head, press the left mouse button to fire a close-range shot, which deals massive damage.
4. Executions Restore Your Armor
Armor is key to your survival, and it takes damage before health. When armor is nearly depleted, take advantage of the execution mechanic. A severely wounded enemy will flash red, indicating that an execution is available. Get close and press “E” key to trigger it, which will not only restore some armor, but may also affect weaker nearby enemies.
5. Melee Weapon Combos
Equip a variety of melee weapons, from the swift combat knife to the powerful power fist. Each weapon has its own unique combos and critical hits. Press Esc key to pause the game and open the menu to view the combos of a weapon.
6. Change Loadout
Any soldier loyal to Emperor would love to have an impressive gun. The weapons and equipment available may vary depending on the game mode you are playing, so choosing the right weapon for different combat situations can be a challenge.
In the campaign, you will unlock more weapons as you progress. In addition, change Titus’s loadout whenever you find weapon pods to ensure that you are prepared for the upcoming battle. In Operations mode, your equipment selection will be limited to the selected class. However, you still can change the default equipment in Armoring Hall area or when interacting with weapon pods. In addition, weapons used in Operations mode can accumulate XP.
7. Choose Right Class
Operations mode allows you to choose from six different classes. Each class has its unique ultimate ability, unlockable perks, and weapon loadout.
Operations mode offers a series of repeatable missions, each with specific objectives. Players need to choose the right class based on your preferred play style, and each squad can only contain one of any given class. Single players cannot choose classes of their AI teammates.
8. Activate Ultimate Ability
When choosing a class, consider its ultimate abilities’ potential contribution to the squad, and make sure to activate them at critical moments. In campaign, when Lieutenant Titus’ Righteous Fury is activated, it temporarily increases attack and durability, and restores a certain amount of health after each melee attack hits the enemy.
In Operations, each class has its own unique ultimate abilities. For example, Sniper can use Camo Cloak to remain cloaked before launching the next attack. On the other hand, Vanguard is equipped with a Grapnel Launcher, which can quickly close in on enemies and perform a dive kick.
9. Kill Enemies That Can Call For Reinforcements
The most dangerous enemies in the process of completing Operations missions are those who can call for reinforcements. If you spot an enemy with a circular icon above its head, be sure to defeat it quickly. If you fail to do so, more enemies will join the fight and you must defeat them as well.
As you progress in the game, you will unlock new weapons and equipment that will allow you to better cope with the increasing challenges.
