When you choose to play BO6’s Zombies mode, you will find many maps to experience, including the relatively new Citadelle des Morts. In this map, you can not only unlock various interesting Easter Eggs but also fight with the operator Maya Aguinaldo.
It is worth noting that after going through hardships with Maya, you will see an enormous stone statue in the town square of Citadelle des Morts, and it is the ultimate boss of this map, The Guardian.
Before the end of the main mission Easter Egg of Citadelle des Morts, the statue The Guardian will come alive, forcing you to engage in a deadly battle with it, and this is also the last obstacle that prevents you from completing all the main missions of the map.
Based on this, we will introduce you to the method of defeating this boss.
Be Well Prepared
Before entering the battle, in order to output as much damage as possible and increase the probability of winning, besides the need to practice combat in Black Ops 6 Bot Lobbies, you first need to get some good equipment in the pre-game lobby. For example, you can equip your Perks and Field Upgrade with some good enhancements to make the final boss battle easier. And Speed Cola’s Supercharged Major Augment can speed up Field Upgrade charging speed.
If you put Dead Head Major Augment on Deadshot Daiquiri, you can also increase the fourth critical damage. It is worth noting that since the boss has armor at the beginning of the battle, you can also use Dead Break Minor Augment to increase the damage to The Guardian’s armor parts.
Besides this basic buff, it is recommended that you get Probiotic Major Augment as an enhancement for Juggernog, so that you can get an extra 50 HP.
In terms of specific weapons, you can upgrade Akimbo GS45 pistol to at least Pack-a-Punch level 3, or get Akimbo GS45 pistol in Epic Rarity, to deal with zombies that provide support to the boss.
Or you can also consider bringing a bullet weapon to make more focused attacks on the boss’s armored parts and other weak points. And if you get the elemental sword through Easter Egg quest, it is recommended to bring Lightsaber Solais to deal with The Guardian, because its special attack will surround you in light and kill any zombies that touch you.
How To Defeat The Guardian?
After completing the entire Easter Egg on the map and obtaining the guardian key item, you need to go to the fountain in the town square. Because there is a hole directly below the giant stone statue in the south of the fountain, place the key there to open the ultimate battle.
After this, the giant statue, The Guardian will come to life and slam the ground with its hammer, teleporting you to the underground area where you need to fight the boss. This battle will not only help you complete the map mission and get the corresponding rewards, but if you unlock Weapon XP Tokens through Redeem Codes in advance, your weapons will become more powerful after the battle.
In the official battle, The Guardian’s moves include shooting fireballs from his mouth, or slamming the ground with a hammer and shooting lava straight at you. Both attacks will leave some flames on the ground, which will damage you if you stand in the flames, and it will also temporarily limit your movement space. In addition, if he steps on you, it will also cause devastating damage.
When the battle officially begins, the boss will be covered with armor all over his body, and only by destroying the armor can he be harmed. To do this, you must focus your firepower on him and break through his shield. During this period, you will find that there are several glowing points under his armor, which you can aim at to destroy his armor.
After aiming at the glowing red dots on The Guardian and breaking through his armor as much as possible, until the boss loses one-third of his health, he will walk to the center of the arena and slam the ground with his hammer to become invincible. During this time, lava will rain down from above, making your range smaller. A wave of zombies, including Doppelghasts, will spawn next, and you’ll need to survive the battle until Max Ammor appears.
The Guardian has some improved moves, such as his fireball attack, which now shoots 3 balls, an updated jump slam attack, and faster movement. And if you can now break all his armor and hit all the key points, his chest will start to glow, becoming his huge weak spot, which will quickly reduce his health if you hit it.
You’ll then need to continue breaking through the boss’s armor and weak spots until he’s down to the last third of his health. After that, he’ll return to the center of the arena, and you’ll need to survive another wave of zombies. Once you succeed, the boss will become active again, and use your GS45 to destroy the rest of his armor, then aim for the weak spot on his chest.
During this ultimate phase, the boss will move faster, hit harder, and the arena is very small, so you’ll need to avoid damage as much as possible. Then keep shooting at The Guardian’s chest until he’s defeated. You’ll then be able to pick up Obscurus Altilium amulet, officially completing all of Citadelle des Morts’ Easter Eggs.
Of course, if you want to get some extra BO6 weapons and gear, there’s not only giveaway information in IGGM Discord, but there may also be sweepstakes for you to participate in. Hurry up!
