  • WoW Dragonflight: A Quick Guide On Enhancement Shaman Build - Gears, Talents & Rotation

    Posted: Jan 02, 2024

I’m bringing you an Enhancement Shaman guide for WoW Dragonflight 10.2, the Emerald Dream episode. We’ll start by covering gear, then stats, talents, and last but not least, the rotation. Make sure that you have plenty of WoW Dragonflight Gold, then just dive into this guide.

    Gears

To start with gears, we’ll be looking for tier set pieces. The current tier set works as follows: for the 2-piece set bonus, every time we cast Primordial Wave, we summon one Fiery Spirit to help us with damage. For the 4-piece set bonus, every time we summon a Fiery Spirit, it reduces our Primordial Wave cooldown by 7 seconds. Doing the math, we can reduce our Primordial Wave cooldown to a total of 21 seconds. This enhances our rotation, increases damage, and makes it more fluid.

    Talents

Then let's talk about talents. Talents are crucial in playing Enhancement Shaman in WoW Dragonflight, and I highly suggest that you get all of them:

Improved Raging and Overflowing Maelstrom: Makes our spenders hit harder, and allows us to store up to 10 stacks of Maelstrom Weapon.

Hailstorm: Enhances Frost Shock damage based on Maelstrom Weapon stacks consumed.

Ice Strike: Generates one stack of Maelstrom Weapon and makes our next Frost Shock hit 100% harder.

Molten Assault: Enables spreading Flame Shock dots to nearby enemies.

Hot Hands: Buff with 40% extra damage and 75% reduced cooldown time on Lava Lash.

Ashen Catalyst: Increases Lava Lash damage and reduces its cooldown based on Flame Shock ticks.

Lashing Flames: A 20-second debuff that increases Flame Shock damage on the target.

Witch Doctor’s Ancestry: reduces the cooldown of Feral Spirit for each Maelstrom Weapon stack generated.

Primal Maelstrom: makes each cast of Primordial Wave generate 10 stacks of Maelstrom Weapon immediately.

Splintered Elements: Buffs Primordial Wave to grant a haste buff for our next Lightning Bolt cast, scaling with the number of extra Lightning Bolts generated by each enemy affected by Flame Shock.

    Rotation

At last is the rotation. The rotation starts with Primordial Wave and Wolves. Then, proceed to spread Flame Shock to at least 5 enemies, followed by casting Lightning Bolt for the Splintered Elements buff. With a 10-stack buff for Hailstorm, our next Frost Shock hits harder and affects more enemies. Continue with Ice Strike to enhance Frost Shock damage, then cast Frost Shock. Build Maelstrom Weapon stacks with Crash Lightning for its buff, making builders hit multiple targets. two

When reaching 8 to 10 stacks, spend on Chain Lightning due to the number of enemies and no priority. The rotation is open-ended beyond this point, and attention should be given to the priority list.

For a single-target rotation, Elemental Blast is used when sitting on 2 charges or when offensive abilities are active. Otherwise, spend on Lightning Bolt. Prioritize Storm Strike over Crash Lightning in one-mob encounters like bosses, as it deals with more damage. In encounters with a priority target, use Crash Lightning to buff uptime and spend single-target abilities on the priority target.

  • WoW Dragonflight 10.2: How To Earn Your Weekly Spark Of Dreams Quickly?

    Posted: Nov 25, 2023

If you want to begin crafting powerful items in WoW Dragonflight's patch 10.2, Spark of Dreams is a crucial ingredient that you’ll need to acquire.

    Option 1

In order to create one of these Sparks, you’ll need to obtain and combine 2 different Splintered Sparks of Dreams. Each week, you’re able to earn a single Splintered Spark by completing one of the new weekly quests in patch 10.2.

There are two weekly quests you can choose from: a PVP quest from Militia in Valdrakken or a reputation farming quest from Keeper Amrymn in the Emerald Dream

Obviously, if you’re interested in PVP, you should complete that quest because it’s a nice way to kill two birds with one stone.

    Option 2

However, for other players like myself who don’t enjoy PVP in this game, the Dream Wardens reputation quest will be a much faster and easier alternative for obtaining your Splintered Spark of Dreams.

To complete it, you’ll need to obtain 1,500 reputation with the Dream Wardens. If you follow these steps, you should be able to easily accomplish that in 15 minutes or less. The 1,500 reputation you need should ultimately come from a combination of three sources:

    1. Superbloom Event

First, if the Superbloom event is active, make sure to speak to Clarelle and pick up the weekly quest. This event takes around 15 minutes to complete and the bag you receive from the quest gives you a token that rewards 1,000 reputation.

Now, you’ll only need 500 reputation and there are two different activities you can complete to earn this.

    2. Dreamseeds

First, you can plant Dreamseeds and harvest them for 250 reputation each.

This 250 reputation bonus is applied to the first five Dreamseeds you collect every week, meaning you’re able to gain a total of 1,250 reputation by doing this. This makes Dreamseeds a viable replacement for doing the Superbloom if you really don’t want to wait the 15 minutes.

    3. Shipment Of Goods

However, this method would still require an additional 250 reputation, which brings me to the final efficient way to get Dream Warden’s reputation in a short amount of time, that being the Shipment of Goods.

In the central encampment within the Emerald Dream, you’re able to pick up a weekly quest that requires you to hand in a random assortment of materials to obtain a Shipment of Goods.

Turning in 1 Shipment will grant you 250 Dream Warden’s reputation and you’ll receive one more weekly quest after that, allowing you to exchange five more Shipments for another 250 reputation.

These quests are an extremely fast way to finish your weekly, though they will require you to spend a bit of WoW Dragonflight Gold. So, I would only recommend it if you’re really lazy like me and don’t want to wait for the Superbloom.

Either way, using any combination of these 3 methods should allow you to complete your quest very quickly. By using the Superbloom and Dreamseeds, I was able to complete it in 17 minutes, whereas the Dreamseeds and Shipment of Goods only took me 7 minutes.

    Note

As a final note, if you have yet to complete the main campaign or any side quest lines in patch 10.2, I would recommend holding on to any reputation tokens that you receive from the quest rewards.

Some of these tokens grant you 2.5k reputation with the Dream Wardens, which allows you to instantly complete this quest in future weeks. That being said, if you’re interested in getting the new Dreambound Augment Rune from reaching Renown 18, you may want to use these tokens as soon as possible.

  • WoW Dragonflight 10.2: Normal & Heroic Larodar Amirdrassil Boss Guide

    Posted: Nov 21, 2023

This is a guide to the Larodar fight in WoW Dragonflight 10.2 Amirdrassil raid on Normal and Heroic difficulty. This is a two-phase fight that really commits to the whole ‘ floor is lava’ bit.

If you want to participate in the fight more easily, you’d better equip your character by using your WoW Dragonflight Gold!

    Normal Difficulty

Furious Charge is our tank mechanic. It winds up a charge at his tank that does less damage if the tank gets away from the boss. It also hurts everyone in the path and does a knockback, so back up, mitigate and everyone else stay clear. Besides, it leaves a vulnerability, so swap the boss after the charge goes out and take it easy until your debuff fades off.

Blazing Thorns is a dangerous spiral attack. You can see it coming on the floor and watch your feet.

Treant adds will spawn. Those need to be tanked, interrupted and killed quickly. They do a little AOE when they die, so melee be careful!

Once the treants are dead, healers can heal them back up to get them on our team. Fully healed treants will channel energy into the Seed in the middle, which we’re gonna need.

Now, you may have noticed there’s a lot of fire on the floor, and most mechanics are going to add more. To keep up, a few players can click on the charged up seed to become fire extinguishers. Run around with that and clean up as much fire as you can to make space.

Scorching Roots will fixate players and trail fire behind them. Stay out of their way and kill them quickly.

Once dead, healers can then heal them back up to get a Renewed Bramble Barrier. As you might guess, we’re gonna need that.

At full energy, Larodar uses Raging Inferno and channels deadly raid damage. To survive, everyone needs to stack in the Renewed Bramble Barrier.

After each Inferno cast, Larodar gets a stack of Combusting Presence to roast us with raid damage and trail fire.

After three of those Raging Infernos or at 40% health, it’s intermission time. He pulls the raid towards him while doing raid damage, and getting too close will burn you. Fight the pull and steel yourself for phase two.

You will still get treant adds to kill, but you can no longer heal them after. You also can no longer touch the seed. Everything else in this phase is brand new.

The new tank thing is Smoldering Backdraft. It’s a painful frontal cone that prevents the target tank from behind healed for 18 seconds. They can, however, leech life from nearby allies. So, mitigate the hit, swap after Backdraft, and then stack on a bunch of your friends to heal back up.

Falling Embers need to be caught by players - get one person into each soak circle.

Flash Fire puts a healing absorb on a few people that must be healed off within 8 seconds. If you don’t, it’s an explosion and a 10 second stun, so keep up with those.

You get Fiery Tornados to dodge. Don’t get toasted by that.

There’s also a lot of fire and raid damage, making it a race to the finish.

    On Normal, that’s it.

    Heroic Difficulty

On Heroic, things get a little spicer.

Each player can only touch the seed once per fight on heroic, so more people will need to chip in to fight the fire.

The Scorching Roots are now untargetable until they’ve been rinsed by a player with the seed.

The Tank charge in phase one now also does raid damage, which is also reduced based on distance.

On Heroic, the Blazing Thorns spiral coalesces into Flame Orbs that travel towards Larodar and must be soaked.

Touching an orb does some damage to you and gives you a DoT, but also gives you 20% crit for 10 seconds! And if you don’t catch them, then Larodar’s gonna do a bunch of extra damage, so make sure you go pick those up.

The Phase Two Treants now trail fire, as if you needed more. And the Smoldering Backdraft debuff now lasts for 30 seconds, which is a long time to be stealing health from your friends.

  • WoW Dragonflight 10.2: How To Get A Full Set Of 450 Aberrus Tier On Every Single Character?

    Posted: Nov 11, 2023

Thanks to some recent gearing changes in WoW Dragonflight patch 10.2, it’s now easily possible to get a full set of 450 item level Aberrus Tier on every single one of your characters.

Since this is actually a higher item level than was previously possible for a few different gear slots, this trick will benefit every single character in the game even if you already had a full set of best in slot gear from rating Mythic Aberrus.

    How To Get 450 Tier?

In order to get 450 tier, you’ll first need to complete the weekly quests associated with Dreamsurges and Time Rifts. The active locations of these two activities may change at any time, so you must do your research in advance.

In order to finish the associated weekly quest, you’ll need to complete activities within the zone and obtain 100 Dreamsurge Coalescence. Turning in this quest gives you a Dreamsurge Cocoon, which can be used to purchase a 428 item level Adventurer piece from Hamuul Runetotem.

As for Time Rifts, you can pick up and complete the weekly quest from Soridormi, which just requires you to defeat the final boss at the end of the event.

In case you aren’t familiar with Time Riffs, these events start just east of the Dragon Isles at the top of every hour, and it takes roughly 10 minutes to complete.

After opening the bag you get from the weekly quest, you’ll receive a single Time Capsule, which can then be used to purchase 428 Adventurer gear from the nearby vendor named Shi Everbreeze.

Since the items sold by these vendors are on the Adventurer track, they can be upgraded to 450 item level by using your WoW Dragonflight Gold. Additionally, since items from Time Rifts and Dreamsurges are counted as being part of Season 2, you can turn them into tier piece with the Revival Catalyst for no additional cost. This means it’s possible for anyone in the game to get two pieces of 450 Aberrus Tier every single week.

If you do both weekly quests right now and then again after the weekly reset on November 14th, every single player should be able to get all four Aberrus Tier pieces at 450 item level.

Since you shouldn’t be replacing your old tier until you get the new bonus, these items will end up lasting you for far longer than anything else you can upgrade from the Emerald Dream.

Getting your hands on it now will give your characters a massive power spike during the first week of Season 3.

    Tips For Upgrade The Items

With that being said, there are a few quick things you should keep in mind before you upgrade these items:

First, it is absolutely critical that you only catalyze the gear after it’s upgraded to 450 item level. It may be a bug, but the catalyze gear is not part of the upgrade track, so its item level is permanently locked once it gets transformed.

Lastly, the weekly Time Rift Token can also be used to purchase one of these special pair of trinkets, and these are also upgradeable to 450 item level. The Shaman Trinket has been simming fairly well for melee DPS and tanks, though I personally wouldn’t recommend buying this over the tier pieces.

Even if the trinket represents a larger damage increase right now, you’ll likely end up replacing it with Mythic + Trinkets on day one of the next season.

Aberrus Tier bonuses, on the other hand, will at least be relevant until you manage to get a four piece. So, I would consider that to be a more valuable investment. Either way, I would recommend taking advantage of this as soon as you can since these days it’s impossible to tell what is a bug or what is an intended feature in the eyes of the developer.
