  • WOW Classic SOD: The Best Leveling Tips For Phase 2!

    Posted: Feb 16, 2024

Whether you’re doing dungeons or quests, leveling will never be boring. Here I will explain the best leveling tips for WOW Classic SOD Phase 2.

If you level up quickly, you can maximize your raid lockouts. You can also take part in STV events and dominate at level 40. Of course, this also means you’ll be able to earn more WOW Classic SOD Gold than anyone else in the game.

In this guide, we’ll discuss everything from buffs and consumables to runes and everything you need to level up as quickly as possible.

    World Buffs

For buffs, regardless of your level, you’ll need Boon of Blackfathom.

What I like about Boon of Blackfathom is the increase in spell hit chance, which really helps when you’re fighting higher level enemies. Another substantial reason is that it increases your movement speed by 20%, which can really help with your missions.

Another buff you definitely want is a Spark of Inspiration. You can get this buff in Оrgrіmmаr or Ironforge. This is an insane buff, especially for a caster who gets a 4% increase in critical strike chance and a 42% increase in spell damage.

Besides these two World Buffs, you can’t forget Darkmoon Faire buff, which increases damage by 10% for 2 hours, which is a huge leveling speed increase.

    Consumables

In addition, there are many new consumables here to help you level up faster. For example, there is Lesser Wizard Oil that everyone forgets about. For this Wizard Oil, the 16 spell damage buff lasts for death, which is a tremendous boost to kill speed.

We also have new potions, such as Lesser Arcane Elixir. The last consumable to discuss is Enchant Boots’ 8% Minor Speed. This is expensive now, but I highly recommend getting your best pair of boots on top of these buffs.

    Get XP Buff

For XP Buffs, the biggest priority you can get is Cozy Sleeping Bag quest line, but this quest only took me about 30 minutes.

As a reward, you’ll receive a Sleeping Bag, giving you up to 3% XP bonus.

You’ll also get eight foods that will give you four Rested XP bars. This is added to your XP bar while you’re offline, which increases XP you gain from killing mobs until the bar is depleted. I recommend saving these foods until level 38 to maximize Rested XP earned.

    New Runes

In order to get the maximum leveling speed, the next thing you need to do is pick the best runes.

As a Priest, he has always been known for his healing abilities, and this is no exception in Season of Discovery. If you are playing Healer Priest, you could choose Empowered Renew Rune.

As the name suggests, Empowered Renew enhances your Renew spell. This is the belt engravement, and after using it, the spell will be restored immediately for an additional time.

Also, whenever it heals from your additional healing, it gains an additional 15% bonus. Best of all, Empowered Renew works on targets affected by another Priest’s Renew. This makes it a must-have rune for endgame content.

You can learn Empowered Renew by using Prophecy of the Quickened Path. This is an item that’s actually pretty easy to get early in Phase 2.

To get Prophecy of the Quickened Path, head to Thousand Needles or Alterac Mountains. These areas are inhabited by Grimtotem Tribe and Crushridge Ogres, respectively. Non-elite creatures of every faction drop Prophecy of the Quickened Path, and it doesn’t take long to get it.

Monster levels in Grimtotem Tribe range from level 26 to 30, while Crushridge Ogres are usually around level 34. Therefore, if you are at the beginning of SOD Phase 2, we recommend heading to Thousand Needles first.

    Maximize Your Leveling Speed

At this point, we have our buffs, consumables, and runes, and we have to decide how to maximize our leveling speed. According to my experience, using a really good route to complete tasks will make our leveling process twice the result with half the effort.

We chose dungeons as our primary leveling method, with the biggest issue being PVP ganks. Therefore, we prioritize running RFK until level 29.

Then after level 29 we started spamming Scarlet Monastery after hit. Around level 31, we alternate between Scarlet Monastery and SM Library.

Around level 34 to 35, we also started attacking Armory and removed Graveyard from our rotation. Then, to end our rotation, we alternate runs between Armory and Cathedral to get to 40.

Although this is somewhat contrary to the spirit of Season of Discovery, it is indeed very useful for leveling up.

With the new 50% XP bonus, leveling is much faster and you can actually get into RFK at level 8, or even into Stockade at level 15. Of course, Sleeping Bag can also be used in conjunction with your boost to speed up leveling.

I don’t want to spoil your Phase 2 leveling experience, but have to say, this will be a powerful option for your alt leveling.

Regardless, the tips and tricks shared in this guide are designed to help you progress quickly, ensuring that your adventures in WOW Classic SOD are not only memorable but also filled with the thrill of rapid progress!

  • WOW Classic SOD: A Fast Leveling Method That Hasn’t Been Nerfed Yet!

    Posted: Jan 03, 2024

Today we are going to talk about the secret leveling method that will help you improve three to five times. Frankly, this approach may be weakened in the near future.

In this guide, I’ll teach you how to level up faster and show you the best places to farm for XP. I’ll show you the best buffs you can use that no one else can use to level up faster, as well as all the best secret consumables. So let’s get started!

    Ground Rules

Before that, we have to understand some basic rules.

First off, we can usually summon almost every rune in the game with ease, but there are some exceptions.

For example, some Runes you want to get for your class do require reaching level 20 first. Waylaid Supplies Rune also needs it to be recognized by Waylaid Supplies faction.

There are also Runes that have specific restrictions, such as Rune of Single-Minded Fury, which requires dual-wielding and you can only get it at level 20. With this in mind, we can easily plan our build to be as powerful as possible before loading it into the game. It’s important to understand that Rune you choose will greatly affect how quickly you level up.

    Mage Leveling Route

Because not every class can AOE grind. If we choose Druid, we cannot guarantee that everyone can do AOE farming on Druid, but Starsurge can basically shoot mobs from level 1-25 in one go.

So we start with Mage. To reach level 25, we can get a quick boost by farming WOW Classic SOD Gold in Ragefire Chasm.

For Mage, there are indeed three important Runes for leveling, which are Living Flame, Regeneration and Living Bomb. The fastest way to get them is to summon to Rune location and have a friend kill the mobs for you. Then you can get the drops.

I think the best route is to go to Scarlet Warrior and farm Living Flame first. You can then summon directly south and get Regeneration Rune from Dalaran Apprentice.

But the last rune is a big problem. Because for Horde, Living Bomb requires at least level 12 to complete all quest lines.

So you can go back to TB or Darnassus, where you can get Boon of Blackfathom buff. This buff is insane for balancing the extra critical hits, and perfect for the extra spell power on extra hits. Meanwhile, if you are Horde, you can also get Darkmoon Faire buff.

So after we have all Runes set up, we can AOE blast grind to get to 25 as quickly as possible. Basically anywhere where the density of creatures is very high, Mage is not the only class that performs this method.

    Druid Leveling Route

Like I mentioned before, you can use Druid and summon them out to cast the first level of Starsurge. I guarantee you can level a Druid from level 1 to level 25 in less than 15 hours, even if you don’t have any AOE abilities at all.

But after Mage and Druid, if you want to have more fun and creativity, I would recommend you to use Shaman even more.

    Shaman

To use Shaman, you first need to get all Shaman Runes.

The first rune I want to get is a Way of Earth, which is the powerful Shaman Tanking Rune. As long as you can summon Northern Silverpine quickly, this rune is easy to get.

Although I really want Molten Blast Rune so I can AOE farm and kill dozens of adds. But the thing is, because Molten Blast has so much mana, I need to find some kind of solution for the mana cost, which is to use a Shamanistic Rage Rune in my leg slot.

To get Shamanistic Rage Rune, I had to go all the way down to Stonetalon Mountains. There is an elite there called Primordial Anomaly, and it’s easy to kill it with friends. Regardless, having Shamanistic Rage at the first level feels incredible.

    Consumables Tips

But we’re going to take it to the next level, and there’s one thing you can definitely do to increase your leveling speed even more, and that’s make yourself one drum.

Drums in Ashenvale event have a 5% damage and healing bonus. They are powerful as you level up. You can earn drums even if your level is low. And even if you reach Revered, it will give you a 200 points Warsong Reputation bonus.

So this is actually one of the laziest and AFK ways to consistently get Warsong Reputation if you really hate farming Warsong.

On top of that, you also have access to various Buffs, such as Rumsey Rum Black Label, which has over 150 health points even at level one.

Another consumable I really like is Ez-Thro Dynamite, which you can use at level 10. Provides huge AOE burst even without Engineering.

    Best XP Spots

It’s time to talk about the best places to farm XP in Season of Discovery. As long as your starting zone attracts as many mobs as possible, you can basically just explore until you eventually reach an area like Murlocs in Elwynn Forest. These are incredibly high-density XP farming areas.

After Murlocs, you can get a penny to go to Darnassus and Darkshore, then start killing Furballs around level 16. You can also go to Westfall. Then finally you can complete everyone’s favorite Dun Morogh Treasure Map.

These are some tips and tricks I learned while quickly leveling up in Season of Discovery. Hopefully, this guide will help make your journey of discovery smoother!
