  • Skull And Bones Season 2: Master These Tips To Get A Head Start In Chorus Of Havoc!

    With the launch of Skull and Bones Season 2: Chorus of Havoc, the game will introduce new ship and weapon types, a new game mode, Helm gameplay, and an unknown threat to Indian Ocean.

    To celebrate the start of Chorus of Havoc, Skull and Bones will be hosting a free week from May 30th to June 6th, during which the entire game will be available. But if you need more time to kill Hubac Twins or take over more manufactories, you can also choose to get the game directly. Of course, all your progress will be carried over.

    Before you jump into the game, let’s take a look at some of the specific content brought to you in the new season to help you get a better start after entering the game!

    New Enemy: Hubac Twins

    La Peste may have been eliminated from your waters, but your pirate behavior has angered the megacorporations more than ever. As a result, Compagnie Royale has hired Hubac Twins to eliminate all pirates in the area.

    Their Chorus Fleet will wreak havoc on your operations, whether by using homing torpedoes, buoys that form whirlpools, or Twins singing as they attack your ships.

    Hubac Twins’ ships also have Wave Shield, a new armor consisting of removable plates that cover the hull of each ship. However, when the plates open to allow the ship’s weapons to fire, weak spots are exposed. Chorus Fleet will target trade routes and known pirate outposts in Indian Ocean, so keep an eye out.

    Preparing To Beat Hubac Twins

    To fight Hubac Twins, you’ll need to prepare some new Skull and Bones Items.

    Auxiliary Weapon

    Fortunately, the new Mine Springloader can help. As an auxiliary weapon, Springloader will fire buoys that create floating minefields, allowing you to create an explosive zone around your target.

    Best Ship

    Brig is a medium-sized ship designed to help you with Springloader. It’s also the fastest ship added to Skull and Bones so far, reduces auxiliary reload time, and will increase the effectiveness of deploying buoys after consecutive weapon hits.

    Don’t forget to equip your Brig with the brand new Armour: Rhapsody of the Deep. It lets you hold onto your mounts and unleash a sonic attack that damages nearby enemies, giving you the power to defeat them in the fight against Hubac Twins.

    Weapons

    There are two Springloader weapons that are worth your time, Little Grace and Infernal Maw.

    Players can earn Little Grace by completing seasonal contracts, but items like Infernal Maw and Rhapsody of the Deep are earned from Smugglers Pass. Pirates who complete Smugglers Pass will also receive Hermit Crab as an adorable ship-running pet.

    Upgrading Your Ship

    To further combat Hubac Twins, as well as some of the many other dangers lurking in the ocean, you can upgrade your ship with Shipwrights from Skull and Bones.

    Each ship will have 6 possible upgrade levels that improve ship stats, unlock new perks, and create additional furniture slots. With this feature, smaller ships can be upgraded to stand out in higher-level World Events, giving you more options when taking on missions.

    New Helm Mechanics

    Helm also introduces new game mechanics that change your smuggling operations on the high seas.

    Fleet Management

    One of these features is Fleet Management, which allows you to assign unused ships to automatically collect and deposit Pieces of Eight from your manufactories. The higher the level of your ship, the greater the chance that your loot will arrive safely at its destination, but the risk of your ship being damaged during the voyage will also be higher.

    New Ways To Get Manufactories

    Also, there are new ways to get manufactories. Now, besides Hostile Takeover and Legendary Heists PVP World Event, you can also obtain manufactories through Helm Leases and the new Buyout game mode.

    You can earn Helm Leases by completing seasonal contracts, striking a deal with John Scurlock or Rahma, or as a Smugglers Pass reward.

    There are three types of Helm Leases: Regional, Faction, and Worldwide. To use one, simply sail to the manufactory you wish to acquire and use a Helm Lease there.

    In Buyout, you will be asked to travel to an Outpost. There, Overseas Smuggler will ask you to help them collect items, which may include commodities, contraband, currencies, or equipment. If you can gather the supplies and deliver them to the Smuggler within the allotted time, you’ll be rewarded with a manufactory.

    Manufactory Defense

    Another new game mode introduced in Chorus of Havoc is Manufactory Defense, which adds an element of danger to the manufactories you already control.

    If you accept when the opportunity presents itself, you’ll need to travel to a threatened manufactory and defend it from waves of enemies. Be aware that each wave of enemies will be increasingly difficult than the one before, so be prepared.

    If your manufactory reaches zero health, you fail the objective, and the location will not produce any Pieces of Eight while it recovers. Instead, if you successfully defend your factory, you’ll be rewarded with Helm materials.

    World Events

    Chorus of Havoc also introduces several new World Events to Skull and Bones.

    Soleil Royal excels at area denial, explosive mini-ships, and ranged damage, but successfully sinking a warship will net you exotic rewards, including a ship upgrade kit on your first success.

    Admiral Rempah and Clan of Fara also add merchant convoys to the scenario, offering generous rewards to anyone who can sink them.

    Megalodon Lestari is a stealthy sea monster intent on sinking you to the depths.

    Dragon Boat Event is a limited-time event where players can win Regatta Chests by completing a series of checkpoint buoys. There will be three playable tracks, located on Red Isle, Coast of Africa, and East Indies.

    Additionally, there will be a Summer Fiesta event later in the season. During this time, Yanita Yara will ask you to steal imported ice from merchant convoys. If you succeed, you will be rewarded with Cocktails, a consumable item that provides buffs.

  • Skull And Bones: Unveil The Ultimate PvE Ship Build Featuring The Barque - Weapons, Armor & More

    This is another Skull and Bones ship build guide! Today’s topic is the best PvE ship build that every player may be interested in. We’ll delve into the items and assess if this build can tackle all the PvE content. These tips and tricks should help you navigate through the PVE content effectively. So go ahead and set sail with confidence! Without wasting time, let's dive in!

    First and foremost, let’s delve into the set I selected: the Barque ship, obtainable in the full season pass upon reaching Level 45. We prioritize this choice because of its exceptional perk, which replenishes 0.5% of hull damage and 0.5% of overall health per second. This unique ability, when combined with a specific armor and defensive consumables, has the potential to render your ship almost impervious to sinking, ensuring formidable resilience in the face of enemy onslaughts.

    Armor

    Speaking of armor, we’re utilizing the Black Prince. Apart from being one of the best armors in the game, its perk, Resolute, reduces damage taken by 50% when the whole health is less than 33%. Combined with the Barque perk, it significantly enhances durability. Alternatively, if you lack the Black Prince, you can opt for the Royal Custodian, which boasts another impressive perk called Refortify. When using any health repair kit, it applies the Fortify effect for 12 seconds, increasing armor by 35%.

    Weapons

    Moving on to weapons, at the front, we're using the Twin-winch Ballista, currently obtainable only in the Black Market. With its wide winds and high damage, it's perfect for targeting enemy ships' weak points. On the sides, we have the Fire Bombard III, acquired by reaching the Cutthroat rank and purchasing the blueprint. With its high damage and wide splash, it's effective against most threats. At the back, the Dardanelles Gun, also available in the Black Market, provides additional firepower.

    When it comes to auxiliary options, we've opted for the Termites III, although it's worth noting that you can easily switch it out for the Leopold III if you prefer. What makes the Termites III stand out is its remarkable perk, which enhances structure damage by an impressive 50%. This makes it a potent and strategic choice for bolstering your ship's offensive capabilities, particularly when engaging in fortified targets.

    Furniture

    Now, let's talk about the furniture. The Scoping Station applies the marked status when hitting a target over 320m away, synergizing well with the Twin-winch Ballista. Next, the La Potence Schematics I increase damage to weak points on enemy ships by 10%. Finally, the Bombard Works 1, and Ballista Works 1 increase elemental damage multiplier by 19% for respective weapons.

    Regarding the edit wheel, let's delve into its setup. Repair Kits 1, 2, and 3 are positioned on the top and right sides for quick access in case of damage. Meanwhile, the ragout, serving purposes of bracing mitigation and stamina regeneration, finds its place on the left for easy activation. Finally, the Tylosaurus occupies a slot, replenishing your ship's stamina by a significant 60%. When it comes to food choices, it's entirely up to personal preference.

    For those curious about Forts, there are several solvable one worth mentioning. Take, for instance, Grand-Fort, where you only need to destroy 2 sections and hold your position in that spot. Then there's Fort Harimau, which spawns a varying number of ships depending on the situation. Additionally, Fort Duister is another feasible option, where you simply need to navigate around the fort without much concern for its walls.

    In Skull and Bones, crafting the perfect ship build is crucial for the pirate bosses who rule the high seas. Brigantine is one of the best ships in Skull and Bones endgame, as long as you sail it with the right build. A defined build allows you to become the deadliest pirate out there and out-gun your opponents.

    In this guide, we’ll share how to create the perfect endgame ship, a Brigantine build, to help you become the most feared pirate boss on the ocean!

    Loadout

    Brigantine is a very maneuverable ship in Skull and Bones, as its extra features don’t require you to specifically tilt it. This Brigantine build focuses on Fire and Explosive damage from some weapons available in the game.

    This build does not require spending Pieces of Eight to purchase any blueprints from Palka Buta or Le Pont Muet Manager. However, as you progress through the game’s endgame, you can improve this build by investing more Skull and Bones Silver in higher-level weapons.

    Weapons & Armor

    Brigantine has four Broadside Cannons, making its primary weapons much more powerful than those on ships like Padewakang. Here are the weapons and armor we use in Brigantine build:

    • Bow: Long Gun V
    • Port: Fire Bombard II
    • Starboard: Fire Bombard II
    • Auxiliary: Leopold II Mortar
    • Stern: Long Gun V
    • Armor: Royal Custodian

    For the bow weapon, I chose Long Gun V. It’s great to attack your opponent’s weak points from a distance when you initiate a fight and deal a ton of damage.

    The broadside weapon in this build is Fire Bombard II, which deals high damage and applies Ablaze to enemies. If you’ve never used a Fire Bombard before, you’ll need to take the time to learn how to fire them. Trust me, it’s worth it.

    For auxiliary weapons, there is only one high-damage option, and that is Leopold Mortar. On the other hand, stern slot is more flexible. Therefore, I used Long Gun V again to deal more damage to the enemy’s weak points. But actually here you are free to replace it with something else, like another set of bombards.

    Finally, our armor choice in this Brigantine build is Royal Custodian. Until Ouroboros is officially available, this is the best armor you can get. And it’s also very easy to get, although it may require a bit of luck.

    Furniture

    When crafting a Brigantine build in Skull and Bones, furniture should never be overlooked. In this case, however, the choice is quite flexible. This is the furniture we used in this Brigantine build:

    • Megaphone
    • Maintenance Forge I
    • Iron Cladding Station I
    • Bombard Works I
    • Mortar Works I

    The choice of furniture is actually a combination of offense and defense. The major piece of furniture we chose in this build is Megaphone, which increases your reload time. Fire Bombards reload slower than weapons like Culverin. So as long as you hit the target, this furniture will make them speed up.

    Maintenance Forge is more of a comfort piece of furniture, as it slowly recovers from severe damage when out of combat. Of course, you can also swap it out for something more offensive, like a Gunpowder Bench, to increase damage to ships with Ablaze effect caused by Fire Bombards. The choice is yours.

    Brigantine’s perk increases its impact damage, while Iron Cladding Station further increases it by 25%. If you’re not very good at rammer, feel free to replace this slot with something else.

    The last two pieces of furniture are focused on increasing the damage output of Brigantine build. Bombard Works are a must because in this case Fire Bombards are our major weapons and Mortar Works can further enhance Leopold’s power.

  • Skull And Bones: A Detailed Guide To The Endgame Ship Loadout - Weapons, Furniture & More

    Hello, gamers! Let's talk about the ship loadout that I'll be using in the endgame of Skull and Bones, which is considered the best overall. Everything about ships, weapons, armor, furniture, and consumables will be included in this complete guide. If you're new to ship build, you won't want to miss this!

    Endgame Ships Overview

    At present, Skull and Bones features a total of 10 ships, with additional ones slated for inclusion in future seasonal updates. Among these, the initial 6 are designated as starter leveling ships, rendering them unsuitable for endgame.

    So we're presented with 4 medium rank 5 ships to consider. However, 2 of these rank 5 vessels possess merely 3 broadside gunports and 4 furniture slots. Consequently, unless the foundational statistics and inherent ship perks hold significant importance to you, these ships are notably disadvantaged compared to their counterparts.

    Padewakang

    The Padewakang is an explosive DPS ship that is slow, only has 4 furniture slots and 3 broadside gunports. This one was worth using during the story, but unless they add content where structural DPS truly matters, this one can stay in the dock once you’re in the endgame.

    Snow

    The Vanguard Snow is a tanky ship that is the slowest endgame ship at the moment. It also only has 4 furniture slots and 3 broadside gunports. I know some people like this one due to how much brace it has, but a lack of speed and damage output will only slow down your gameplay in endgame.

    Sambuk

    The Sambuk is a fire DPS ship that is slow, but thankfully has 5 furniture slots and 4 broadside gunports. From a pure DPS perspective, this should be the meta choice in an endgame scenario where we need to burn down lots of AI ships. PVE always comes down to DPS and it’ll be no different once we see some more serious endgame PVE content.

    Brigantine

    The Brigantine is the fastest ship in the game, while also having 5 furniture slots and 4 broadside gunports. It might not have the fire damage scaling of the Sambuk, but that’s fine because the majority of endgame now is dictated by how much we have to sail around.

    In combat, having speed while being chased means you can effectively outrange your enemy, reducing the damage you take while simultaneously being able to DPS them back as they sail into your shots. From this, I consider the Brigantine to be the best endgame ship overall.

    Weapons

    Now let’s talk about the weapons in Skull and Bones. The weapons I use and recommend are Fire Bombard 3 in all 4 directions. They have incredible DPS, great AOE, decent range, can set enemy ships on fire, and are super easy to use. The Blue Specter are better against buildings' weak points and technically even armored enemies because of bonus Piercing damage. While the burst is nice, if you miss your lineup, there’s a lot of missed DPS, so they’re less forgiving. They also don’t set enemy ships on fire, so you can’t consistently leverage any fire-related synergies with furniture or ship bonuses.

    With all 4 cannon slots taken care of, let’s move on to the auxiliary slot. Mortar range and burst is incredible when it hits, and the targeting plays a lot better. Use a regular mortar until you can afford a Leopold 3 mortar. This one should be better for ships because of the flooding damage.

    Armor

    For armor, I think the choices are very limited. We basically want whatever gives us the highest armor rating and decent mitigation to common damage types.

    You can use the Royal Custodian that drops from the Colonial Shipment world event that starts in the Red Aisle. This is surprisingly easy to get, so it’s an excellent starting point.

    Then, you can use the Black Prince from the Black Market. It’s purchased with Sovereigns that are earned from just playing a lot in the endgame. When Season 1 drops, then farming for Ouroboros is a must, as the effects on here stand out as absolutely best in slot.

    Furniture

    Moving on to furniture, I prioritize anything that boosts DPS, starting off with the most impactful. I use the Megaphone for major furniture. You can only equip one purple furniture on your ship, and this one makes reloading a lot faster in combat. Reload speed for cannon fire is basically a fire rate DPS boost.

    If you want to remember what side is port and starboard on a ship, just think about how long the words are. So I take Starboard Powder Kegs I for 10% more damage with my right-side cannons and Port Powder Kegs I for 10% more damage with my left-side cannons. I believe these 2 furniture items are currently best in slot, with how much more output your broadsides have because of the number of gunports.

    Then I use Front Powder Kegs I for 10% more damage with my front weapons. This is the one you can drop and swap out to anything else you prefer, like ramming damage, something else for utility, or furniture they add in future seasons.

    And in my last slot, I use the Gunpowder Bench I for 10% more damage to enemy ships that are on fire. This one will help scale all our output because we use Fire Bombards, which will keep these weapons more competitive ship combat over most other combinations.

    Consumables

    Now let’s take a look at the cooked food buffs. I usually use Sate Kambing when I’m just sailing around collecting Skull and Bones Silver. The perks for reduced stamina consumption and stamina regen are what I value most about this one.

    The other good one is Godrogodro. You can buy out all the flour you need at pretty much every vendor. This one has slightly less stamina regen, but the 10% repair kit perk is actually incredible for sustenance.

    As for stamina food, I just use whatever Grilled Food I have a lot of since I use stamina buff food. The basic 40% stamina foods are good enough to keep us sailing at max speed. And if we really wanted to min-max our consumable, then we should have Water Barrels. These boost our top speed by 15% for 20 seconds. However, these are annoying to stock up on, so you probably want to save these entirely for PVP.
