  • Path Of Exile 2 Patch 0.1.1 Update Revealed: What Issues Are Fixed?

    Posted: Jan 18, 2025

Exiles, I believe you have had a great time during the early access release of Path of Exile 2, but this does not mean that POE 2 is problem-free. Fortunately, GGG is always actively listening to player feedback and looking for solutions. Recently, Path of Exile 2 released Patch 0.1.1, which aims to solve some problems that can be solved relatively quickly without creating a new league or a new economy immediately.

Here, we will discuss some of the issues that have been discovered in POE 2 and the measures the developers plan to take in Patch 0.1.1. It’s worth emphasizing that if you find a particular issue is not on this list, it doesn’t mean that GGG is not aware of it or that it won’t be fixed, it just means that they either can’t fix it quickly or can’t fix it without the need for a new economy. So we just need to wait and let time solve all the problems.

    Map Basic Experience Improvements

First of all, one of the main areas that needs a lot of attention is the map basic experience, and the developers have made a lot of changes here.

    Endgame Balance

It is worth mentioning that the number of monsters, chests, magic and rare monsters, Essences, Strongboxes and Precursor Artifacts in endgame maps have been balanced. With these adjustments, you should find that map farming is more valuable than before, because maps are usually focused on one or more particularly valuable elements. So you can farm POE 2 Currency in a targeted way without wasting more time getting a bunch of useless items.

    Added Tower Map

Now, Towers are very important for players because we need to run a lot, but there is only one Tower map at present, which makes many mechanisms for this useless.

Shortly after Early Access was released, many players gave feedback that they hope to add more changes here as soon as possible, so Patch 0.1.1 added four Tower maps: Alpine Ridge, Bluff, Mesa, and Sinking Spire.

    Lost Towers Map Rework

In addition, the developers have reworked the existing Lost Towers Map to make playing there less boring. At the same time, since some maps cannot spawn bosses, the probability of loot drops is much lower than we expected at the beginning. Therefore, they chose to compensate for this problem by increasing the drop probability so that they can get the actual expected probability. Then, the developers also added a new type of Tablet that allows you to add bosses to your map using your own mod pool.

    Strongboxes Changes

Of course, Strongboxes also need some attention. They now spawn monsters faster, the fog effect is less annoying, and the timing and effects of the mods have also been changed. Players can get a better gaming experience here.

    Adjusting Effect Visibility

Now, let’s talk about the visibility of effects. Because many maps are too cluttered, the effects on the ground cannot be rendered, and you can’t see and dodge them in time. For these reasons, the developers have changed both the clutter level of some maps and some effects to ensure that they are always visible.

In addition, the visibility of elemental explosion effects has been improved, and they will last longer before exploding. If rare monsters die, they will disappear without exploding. What’s more, Volatile Plants are also easier to see before exploding.

They have also now increased the zoom level of Atlas and fixed various terrain collision issues on many maps. They have also shortened the loading time for opening World Map and Atlas panel to show the map’s biome on hover. For other in-game content systems, there is a greater focus on making all rewards consistent with what they should be.

    Endgame Fixes

For Delirium, the developers recently fixed a bug that caused Delirium monster to not spawn after the opening section. Additionally, Simulacrum will now appear 20% less often to make it more consistent with the pace of finding Expedition and Ritual bosses.

For Ritual, Omens now appear 60% more often in Ritual Tribute window. For Expedition, the rarity of items in the store has been increased, but we hope that GGG will make some more substantial changes to the rewards for this league later.

    Improved Pinnacle Bosses Experience

Right now, one of the main issues we still see regularly is that it takes too long to play through the Pinnacle Bosses content, and when you finally get there, you only have one attempt and no chance to get to know the boss.

To address these issues, the developers have made the following changes:

First, Citadel spawn points are closer to the center of Atlas, and they’ve also added an effect so that you can see them from farther away in the fog of war. This makes them easier to find.

To address the issue of only having one attempt, you can now get up to six respawns on Arbiter of Ash. However, respawns can only be triggered by the person who puts the key in, and everyone in your squad will respawn at the same time. Note that leaving the map will still lose your respawns, so you still need to fight the boss with the build you entered the map with.

Although the higher the difficulty of the boss, the fewer times you will respawn, but by then you should know the mechanics of the fight.

Another thing that players noticed was that there were fewer keys from Faradun Citadel on the market, and they thought it was because Citadel spawned less frequently. But it turns out that this was just because this boss killed players more often than other bosses. Still, the developers made some changes to this boss to bring it in line with other bosses.

    Unique Item Buffs

On the other hand, it has to be said that many unique items in POE 2 feel unsatisfactory. Although unique items are generally designed to enable builds at high levels, they really need to ensure that more unique items also feel powerful when players first get them at low levels.

For this reason, GGG has buffed a lot of unique items in this patch. These changes should make it more fun to find POE 2 unique items at low levels. More importantly, subsequent games will also be more fun when you have some great unique items available.

In addition to this, the developers also changed a few other things to make it easier to find rare items at high levels. Not only did they slightly change the mod weights to ensure that there are fewer bad mods, but they also made it so that high-level items no longer cull the highest level modifiers for a given mod type. This means you no longer have to invest in more Exalted Orbs to re-roll modifiers to own a splendid piece of gear.

    Boss Difficulty Adjustments

Now, as we continue to play, we still find many balance anomalies with specific monsters or bosses that can be annoying if you encounter them. Don’t fret now, because Patch 0.1.1 contains adjustments to a large number of these monsters and bosses. These changes should solve many cases where monsters or bosses feel too difficult in certain situations.

    Item Filter System

One big issue for console players is that the web-based item filter system is currently not working properly. This means they can’t use item filters like PC users can. However, in Patch 0.1.1, the same item filter system as Path of Exile 1 will be activated again, which allows you to subscribe to item filters on the website.

    Other Fixes

Of course, this patch also contains many other smaller changes and bug fixes, such as strengthening armor and Scavenged Plating, showing the number of uses left on an amulet and the effect when it is triggered, fixing the music that Una plays in town, and many other small fixes and improvements throughout the game.

While these fixes won’t solve all the problems, and it will take some time, GGG still hasn’t given up on finding things that cause frustration and trying to fix them. Hopefully, they’ll do more of this in the future, and look forward to the full release of Path of Exile 2 giving us a better gaming experience!

While waiting for the full release of POE 2, we need to be prepared for it, whether it’s completing a top-level build that suits our play style or preparing a lot of rare resources. If this is the case for you, then you might as well enter IGGM Discord, where there are often giveaways that allow you to get some great rare items for free. As long as you’re active here, lucky opportunities will always come to you.

  • Path Of Exile 2: How To Effectively Use Reforging Bench To Improve Equipment Stats?

    Posted: Dec 26, 2024

When playing Path of Exile 2, players often find themselves stockpiling various equipment, many of which are not suitable for their current character. Although you can choose to sell, disassemble or transfer these unwanted items to other characters through stash, sometimes you may encounter some equipment that can be equipped but has poor properties.

It seems a bit wasteful to sell or disassemble such items directly, because they are still useful resources after all. At this time, Reforging Bench becomes a very useful tool. It allows you to combine multiple items of the same type for a chance to re-randomize their properties.

This method not only allows you to make full use of the resources in your hands, but also may get unexpected excellent results, and sometimes even get new equipment that is better than using each item separately. If not, you can continue to enhance your gear by consuming POE 2 Exalted OrbsBelow, this guide will tell you how to find and use Reforging Bench in POE 2.

    When To Unlock Reforging Bench?

In POE 2, Reforging Bench is a very useful feature, but it will not be unlocked until Act 3 of the game. Therefore, if you are just beginning your journey, you may need to wait a while before you can use this feature. At some point in Act 3, players will receive a Legacy of the Vaal quest, which will lead you to a brand new area - Drowned City.

After completing this quest, return to Ziggurat Encampment and find an NPC named Oswald near the northwest corner of the screen. Talking to Oswald will start Treasures of Utzaal quest. After successfully completing this series of quests, you will then be able to unlock Reforging Bench.

    How To Unlock Reforging Bench?

Unlocking Reforging Bench is an important quest in POE 2. When players follow the quest marker to the adjacent Drowned City and reach around level 40, they enter a dungeon called Molten Vault. This dungeon is full of fire-based enemies, so it is recommended that players use POE 2 Currency to prepare any fire-resistant equipment and use ice magic to fight these enemies.

In Molten Vault, players will face a powerful boss named Mektul, The Forgemaster. Mektul is a boss that deals massive fire damage, but has a slow attack speed and a long cooldown between most attacks.

The player can dodge his attacks by holding down the dodge button and counterattack in between his attacks. This fight has a four-minute timer, and if the player fails to defeat Mektul within the time limit, the room will fill with lava, causing the player’s death.

To defeat Mektul effectively, the player should focus on using cold damage and becoming familiar with his attack patterns. Once he has mastered his attack patterns, the player can defeat him with relative ease. After defeating Mektul, the player will receive Hammer of Kamasa, an item that can open a portal back to town. After returning to town, speak to Oswald again to unlock Reforging Bench and an Uncut Skill Gem as a reward.

    How To Use Reforging Bench?

Reforging Bench allows the player to combine three items of the same type and rarity into a new item of the same type with new properties. To use Reforging Bench, you need to find it and interact with it, just like any other crafting station.

There is a Reforging Bench in every town for players to use, or you can place one in your own hideout. When you decide to use it, walk up to it and interact with it.

It is important to note that the original three items will be destroyed, so make sure you no longer need them before using Reforging Bench. The properties of the newly obtained items are entirely dependent on the items you put in, and you cannot expect to gain Soul Cores by putting in equipment. You can use the following items on Reforging Bench:

    • Weapons, armor, or accessories of the same type and rarity
    • Unique items
    • Catalyst
    • Essence
    • Soul Core
    • Precursor Tablets
    • Distilled Emotion
    • Runes
    • Relics
    • Waystones of the same tier

In POE 2, there are a few key points to keep in mind when using Reforging Bench. You always need three input items, but you can only get one output item. While most re-rolls are random, some special items, such as Waystones and Distilled Emotions, often reward higher-tier items.

In addition, there are some additional restrictions to note. It is forbidden to use damaged items for recasting. You cannot see the full function of most recast items until you use Hooded One or Scroll of Wisdom to identify them.

Finally, the level of the output item will be the same as the lowest-level item you put in. Therefore, ideally, you should choose three items of roughly the same level to recast to ensure that you don’t waste high-level items to get low-level items.

Overall, Reforging Bench is a very strategic and practical feature in Path of Exile 2. It not only provides players with an effective way to utilize resources but also adds more possibilities and surprises to the creation of equipment. When operating, always keep an eye on the level and rarity of the items and choose the right combination to maximize the benefits. In the process of pursuing the perfect equipment, you can also enter IGGM discord to pay attention to occasional giveaway information.

  • Path Of Exile 2: How To Choose The Best Skill Gems For Mercenary Build?

    Posted: Dec 19, 2024

Mercenaries excel at using Crossbow and have a few unique skills that make them a powerful force on the battlefields of Path Of Exile 2. This article will highlight the best Skill Gems for Mercenary builds and share how to maximize their potential by pairing the best Support gems with passive skills.

    12. Armor Piercing Rounds

    • Tier: I
    • Requirements: Crossbow
    • Type: Projectile, Physical
    • Best Support Gems: Overpower, Ruthless, Armor Explosion, Chain
    • Best Passives: Projectile Damage, Chain, Projectile Speed, Pierce

This skill focuses on breaking enemy armor, can penetrate multiple targets, and can be adjusted to bounce between targets for an AoE, making it a reliable partner for mercenaries.

When the skill is released, it will fire a series of fast-flying bullets that first penetrate the first enemy hit, and then deal decreasing damage to subsequent enemies. In addition, it will apply Armor Breaking debuff to enemies, causing enemies affected by this effect to take more physical damage.

    11. Explosive Grenade

    • Tier: I
    • Requirements: Crossbow
    • Type: AoE, Elemental
    • Best Support Gems: Fire Penetration, Fire Infusion
    • Best Passives: Grenade Damage, Grenade Fuse reduction, Fire Damage

Explosive Grenade fires Elemental Fire, which detonates after 3 seconds, dealing a medium AoE fire damage, and ignites Gas and Oil, making it great for clearing large groups of enemies and getting more POE 2 Currency drops.

If you change to Grenade Fuse Time Reduction, the grenade will explode faster, increasing its lethality against normal enemies. In boss battles, it can be paired with other grenade to form a strong AoE, continuously reducing the boss’ health and helping to clear summoned minions.

    10. Galvanic Shards

    • Tier: V
    • Requirements: Crossbow
    • Type: Projectile, AoE, Elemental
    • Best Support Gems: Lightning Infusion, Ammo Conservation, Innervate, Conduction
    • Best Passives: Lightning Damage, Elemental Damage, Shock Increase, Crossbow Reload Speed

Galvanic Shards are a cone-shaped area attack that causes cumulative Shock and Electrifying. Enemies that are electrified are more vulnerable to projectiles and lightning elemental attacks.

Combined with Herald of Thunder and Support Gems that increase Shock build-up and Lightning Damage, you can quickly clear out groups of enemies. It is even more effective when paired with a crossbow equipped with two Storm Runes.

    9. Herald Of Thunder

    • Tier: V
    • Requirements: 30 spirit (base)
    • Type: Herald, Buff, AoE, Elemental
    • Best Support Gems: Magnified Effect, Maim, Blind, Conduction
    • Best Passives: Herald AoE Damage, Herald Reservation decrease

Herald Of Thunder is a skill that should be unlocked first for Mercenary. It can enhance the shock damage after shocking the enemy, triggering a powerful range explosion. It requires 30 Spirit to activate, but the benefits are significant. It can use support gems to improve the effect, but it will increase the spirit cost. To balance the cost, you can choose Herald AoE Damage Passive Skill and Herald Reservation.

    8. Rapid Shot

    • Tier: V
    • Requirements: Crossbow
    • Type: Projectile, Elemental
    • Best Support Gems: Ignition, Fresh Clip, Martial Tempo, Primal Armament
    • Best Passives: Elemental Damage, Projectile Damage

Rapid Shot fires fire elemental projectiles after a short cooldown that can set targets on fire. Combined with Ignition, Fresh Clip, Martial Tempo, and Primal Armament support gems, it can quickly eliminate bosses and increase your efficiency in farming POE 2 Exalted Orbs.

Paired with Elemental Damage, and Projectile Damage passives and Emergency Reload, it can form high-frequency fiery darts that can easily melt powerful enemies. Rapid shot also generates Heat, which can enhance the power of Grenades and add Fire Damage.

    7. Gas Grenade

    • Tier: V
    • Requirements: Crossbow
    • Type: AoE, Elemental
    • Best Support Gems: Bursting Plague, Primal Armament, Ingenuity
    • Best Passives: Grenade Damage, Grenade effect duration increase

After launching a lob that bounces off a surface, it explodes in 2.5 seconds to form a cloud of toxic that continuously damages and poisons enemies. The poison still affects targets that leave the toxic cloud for a short time. Combining Bursting Plague, Primal Armament, and Ingenuity allow Mercenaries to cover the battlefield with poison gas and ignite it with Explosive Shot or Explosive Grenade for a powerful combo.

    6. Explosive Shot

    • Tier: VII
    • Requirements: Crossbow
    • Type: Projectile, AoE, Physical, Elemental
    • Best Support Gems: Envenom, Wildfire, Primal Armament
    • Best Passives: Elemental Damage, Fire Damage

Explosive Shot charges Crossbow with a powerful single shot that explodes on contact, igniting Oil and Gas and knocking back enemies. Spread Ignition status with Wildfire support gems, or apply Envenom to turn it into a Poisonous Elemental explosion.

As a slow but powerful attack, it is recommended to invest in the Elemental Damage and Fire Damage passives in the skill tree and equip a crossbow that deals Fire Elemental Damage. Use an Artificer Orb and Desert Runes to optimize Explosive Shot’s damage output.

    5. Ripwire Ballista

    • Tier: VII
    • Requirements: Crossbow
    • Type: Totem, Physical
    • Best Support Gems: Overabundance, Lockdown
    • Best Passives: Totem Duration, Pin Down Debuff Duration

This is one of the most useful Mercenary Skill Gems, creating a totem that generates a Ballista, which periodically fires arrows attached with chains. At 100%, the enemy is immobilized for 5 seconds, giving Mercenary time to deal damage. With Overabundance modification, 2 Ballistas can be summoned. The duration is halved but Pin-Down accumulates faster, and Lockdown is completed at the same time.

    4. Stormblast Bolts

    • Tier: IX
    • Requirements: Crossbow
    • Type: Projectile, AoE, Elemental
    • Best Support Gems: Lightning Infusion, Ingenuity, Innervate, Conduction
    • Best Passives: Lightning Damage, Elemental Damage

This is one of the most complex skills in Mercenary, but it can be a significant change if you master it. It fires arrows at a designated area, which creates a link when they land, and can be detonated by Exploding Arrow or Galvanic Shards, dealing powerful area-of-effect electric damage.

Choose Lightning Infusion, Ingenuity, Innervate, and Conduction, and pair it with the extra Lightning Damage and Elemental Damage from equipment and passive skills to maximize the effect.

    3. Oil Grenade

    • Tier: IX
    • Requirements: Crossbow
    • Type: AoE, Debuff
    • Best Support Gems: Ingenuity, Encumbrance
    • Best Passives: Grenade Effect Duration Increase, Cooldown Reduction

Fire a grenade that explodes on contact, releasing sticky oil, slowing enemies and increasing their vulnerability to Fire Damage and Ignite effects. Oil can be ignited by Grenades or Explosive Bolts, creating a short-lived fire curtain.

It is recommended to use Ingenuity to shorten the cooldown, Grenade Effect Duration to extend the slow/vulnerability effect, and Encumbrance to increase the slowdown effect. Combined with Gas Grenade, it can create a deadly trap for monsters and bosses.

    2. Emergency Reload

    • Tier: XI
    • Requirements: Crossbow
    • Type: Buff
    • Best Support Gems: Ingenuity, Premeditation
    • Best Passives: Buff Duration, Buff Effectiveness

This skill instantly reloads your crossbow with the latest arrows and increases damage by 15%. Very dangerous when combined with skills like Rapid Shot or Galvanic Shards. It is recommended to use Skill Gems and Passives to reduce the cooldown. With two Premeditation runes, it can increase damage by an additional 30%, which is deadly.

    1. Plasma Blast

    • Tier: XIII
    • Requirements: Crossbow
    • Type: Projectile, Charged, Elemental
    • Best Support Gems: Lightning Infusion, Martial Tempo, Innervate, Conduction
    • Best Passives: Lightning Damage, Elemental Damage, Projectile Damage

This skill fires a powerful laser beam that deals high lightning damage and knocks back enemies. It takes 2 seconds to charge and exposes the player. Pairing it with Martial Tempo Skill Gems can solve the exposure problem. Choosing Gem Studded passive in Gemling Legionnaire Ascendancy can reduce the charge time by 25%, greatly improving efficiency.

In summary, we have introduced the best Skill Gems for Mercenary in POE 2 and the best Support Gems and Passives to match them in great detail. This information is essential for players to build a powerful Mercenary and can help you maximize your potential on the battlefield. Finally, you can enter IGGM Discord to join POE 2 Orbs giveaway event. We will draw 10 players on December 20th to share 100 Exalted Orbs, 100 Chaos Orbs, and 200 Regal Orbs!

  • Path Of Exile 2: How To Beat The Hardest Boss In Act 2? - Jamanra, The Abomination

    Posted: Dec 13, 2024

In the early access of Path of Exile 2, which was released on December 6, you can experience a wealth of game content through the three acts and six classes it provides. Among them, each act has many quests waiting for you to complete, and their difficulty and the amount of POE2 Currency rewards are also different.

And it is worth noting that you must complete the last or most critical quests in each act of POE 2 in order to enter the next act and smoothly advance the game’s progress. Therefore, these quests are always difficult. In Act 2, Jamanra, the Abomination stands out the most.

As the main final boss of Act 2, Jamanra, the Abomination will be found on Dreadnought Vanguard when you are with Asala. Although you will have a short battle with Jamanra early in Act 2, the main battle takes place at the end of the act, when he will become Jamanra, the Abomination.

Based on this, we will introduce you to how to defeat this terrible boss.

    Preparation Before The Battle

Before facing this boss, you need to keep your character level around 33-36. Regarding the enemy, Jamanra is afraid of cold damage, so if you are a Sorceress or Monk and use frost skill builds, you will have an easier time. In addition, fire damage of any other profession or poison damage of Ranger is also good.

In addition, we recommend that you equip as many items that can resist lightning as possible to offset Jamanra’s powerful attacks. The lightning resistance amulet in Act 1 and the lightning resistance Topaz Ring that can be found in Act 1 or Act 2 can do this, but their drops are random. Or you can try to farm lightning resistance equipment in Dreadnought or Deshar in Act 2. But this method is more luck-based and requires you to persist for a while.

Also, if you have enough POE 2 Exalted Orbs, we recommend that you enhance the rare equipment you have by adding random affixes so that you can get extra damage when facing this boss in addition to being able to effectively resist lightning.

How To Pass The First Stage?

In the battle with Jamanra, the Abomination is divided into two stages, and the first stage may be more difficult than the second stage. During this initial phase, Jamanra’s two main attacks are a lightning melee attack that hits directly in front of them, and a spear throw when fighting at a distance.

His melee attacks won’t do as much damage to you, and you’ll have more flexibility in when you dodge. Circle around Jamanra and stand next to him to keep triggering melee attacks.

When fighting at a distance, you’ll find that Jamanra’s spear attacks are difficult to dodge. But before launching this attack, they will have spears on both sides of their shoulders and will swing their arms forward to foreshadow you so that you can find the right time to dodge. But if you dodge too early, you will be hit by the follow-up spear when you recover.

In addition, you need to use range attacks or single target attacks as much as possible, because Jamanra doesn’t move around the arena very often, and walls of fire, totems, poison bottles, frost fields, etc. can all reduce Jamanra’s health. Similarly, strikes, slams, etc. are also useful and can allow you to deal a lot of damage to this boss.

Towards the end of the first phase, if there is still a large group of enemies, you can crawl around the arena, dodging Jamanra’s spear while using spells to kill them. Once Jamanra’s health drops to 60% and he returns to the altar he was on at the start of the fight, your cart will be destroyed and the next phase of the fight will begin.

How To Win The Second Phase?

During the second phase, the only main attack Jamanra retains is a melee attack. They can perform another small melee attack with their arms, which you can avoid by dodging or backing away. And Jamanra will always cast a whirlwind that spins around the map to attack, and they will move randomly around the map. But as long as you avoid stepping on them, you will be fine.

Related: Path of Exile 2 Currency Free Giveaways & Promotions

It is worth noting that during the second phase, Jamanra will also use two swords for continuous attacks. The first is a slash that hits the area in front of him, and to avoid it you need to roll to the direction the boss is attacking, which is to his right - as he swings the spear over his head, a bolt of lightning hits the spear, signaling that the slash is coming.

The second attack takes longer to prepare, but does more damage. Jamanra will create a gigantic sword, hold it behind him, and slam it into the ground after a second of preparation to damage you. When you see him swing this sword over his head, you can roll to the side to avoid it, as the attack will hit in a straight line from Jamanra’s position.

Jamanra moves faster during this phase, so your area attacks will be less effective. While this doesn’t mean they’re not worth using, attacks that track enemies or bounce off walls will be more effective during this phase. Specifically, to deal damage, just keep casting skills on the boss while avoiding whirlwind or sword attacks.

When Jamanra’s health drops to about half, he will start to drop lightning pylons into the ground. These towers don’t move, but can block routes around the arena to limit your movement.

Based on this, the best strategy is to move around the arena in a circle, dodging attacks as they occur. This type of movement can provide you with an escape route when Jamanra is following you, or allow you to dodge a whirlwind or lightning field launched by the boss when needed.

In fact, good positioning is the key to this battle. The more times you try to fight while continuously depleting Jamanra’s health, the better your positioning ability will be to avoid these attacks. And when you win and the battle is over, you can enter the third act of Path of Exile 2, there is even a chance to get some POE 2 Regal Orbs.

Hopefully, with these tips and methods we have provided, we can help you successfully defeat Jamanra, the Abomination, and complete the game as soon as possible. In addition, enter IGGM Discord now, You can join POE 2 Orbs giveaway event here. We will draw 10 players on December 20th to share 100 Exalted Orbs, 100 Chaos Orbs, and 200 Regal Orbs!
