  • Honkai Star Rail: How To Assemble The Best Team For Silver Wolf?

    Posted: Jun 09, 2023

I’m happy to discuss something about Silver Wolf. I see brief talk about it, and many people still think Silver Wolf is an RNG dependent character. Because right now we can’t create a Mono-Element team.

But I don’t think this conclusion is 100℅ correct. We can use the tricks I will provide to minimize its RNG requirements.

    Implanted Element

We know that Silver Wolf has a unique toolkit. This is all because of her ability to plant 1 weakness on enemies based on our party element. But the implanted elements are chosen randomly. So it often happens that the implanted elements are not the ones we want, unless we play Mono-Quantum team.

Because Quantum element currently does not provide a sustainable effect to the team, this has a very important impact on the endgame. So this might be a problem. Because usually we don’t want the elements implanted by Silver Wolf to be elements of our healers or shields.

So based on that idea, since people sometimes forget that enemies have two or three elemental weaknesses. And we do this by bringing a party that has elements of enemy weakness so we can eliminate those elements from the skill RNG.

For example, in this scene we fight Cocolia who has Lightning and her weaknesses are Quantum and Fire. And our goal is to be Dan Heng as the main DPS and implant Wind. In this case, the probability of Wind being implanted is 100%.

Because Cocolia already has Quantum and Fire elements. So if you use Silver Wolf to support non-Quantum DPS, we have to make sure that at least the enemy has a Quantum weakness.

Because Physical and Lightning are the most common elemental and enemy weaknesses. So I chose Natasha and Bailu because I think if you have both of them, at least now it’s easier to build a team combination for Silver Wolf.

    Quantum DPS

Speaking of team combos, IMO the characters that would benefit the most from Silver Wolf’s skills are Quantum DPS like Qingque and Seele. Because Silver Wolf’s skills can activate passive from Genius of Brilliant Stars Relic Set. Even if the enemy didn’t have a Quantum weakness before, you’ll always get ignores 20% DEF instead of ignores 10% DEF. This is a very rare stat that ignores DEF.

The good news is that until they release Fu Xuan, you can use Silver Wolf to control your Qingque and Seele. But if you have Bailu, it’s even more effective because now you can plant Quantum on almost any elite boss if you have Bailu and the right team comp.

You just need to switch between Natasha and Bailu according to the enemy’s weakness. I’ll give you another scenario of this team combo to make sure to plant more Quantum by bringing Natasha into your team.

    Which Characters Are Suitable?

Also, a third slot can be filled with the same element as the enemy’s weak point. In this case, I can take Bronya or Yukong. Same as this case, if you have Bailu, you can choose Bailu, and Fire Trailblazer or Luocha can be the supporter. And you can take Asta, Tingyun or Yukong in the third position.

Those are all my thoughts on Silver Wolf’s skills and potential Silver Wolf team. Of course these we will test again, hope this helps you. If you are interested in this, try a new Honkai Star Rail Account, which may give you a better understanding of Silver Wolf.

  • Honkai Star Rail 1.1: Which Character Is Worth Your Pull? - Silver Wolf VS Luocha

    Posted: Jun 08, 2023

As Honkai Star Rail 1.1 has just been updated, it means that Silver Wolf and Luocha are the two characters who receive the most attention at this time. Therefore, I will introduce these two roles to you in detail. Let’s start by taking a look at the two new 5-star characters in Honkai Star Rail 1.1.

    Silver Wolf

Silver Wolf first appeared on her Banner titled “Contract Zero”. She is a Quantum support character following Path of Nihility. She can inflict weaknesses on enemies, making for an amazing addition to any team you put her on.

When she uses her abilities, she applies weaknesses to enemies she attacks. The type of weakness will match at least one other member of your team. Utilizing her ult reduces the defense of a single target in addition to dealing damage, and each attack implants a random “bug” in the enemy that reduces their attack, defense, or speed.

These abilities make Silver Wolf an amazing supporting character. Get 100% rest coverage on whatever team you put her on. This makes events like Memory of Chaos more manageable, as you’ll be able to smash shields quickly.

The character of Silver Wolf will also get better as time goes on. Especially when we start seeing more Quantum characters and can start running single Quantum teams to make sure enemies always have Quantum weaknesses.

    Luocha

Luocha first appeared on his Banner titled “Laic Pursuit”. He is an Imaginary healer, following Path of Abundance.

His skills can restore a large amount of HP to a single ally. The healing amount is 40% of Luocha’s attack power plus 200 points, and a layer of passive skill, “Abyss Flower” is obtained. When an ally is below 50% health, the same healing will automatically trigger on them, happening every 2 turns.

His ult deals damage and dispels an enemy boon. Every time we dispel a buff, he will gain a stack of the passive skill “Abyss Flower”. When Luocha gains 2 stacks of Abyss Flower, he will consume the stacks to deploy an Abyss Flower on the field.

When an ally attacks an enemy within range, the ally heals for 14% of Luocha’s attack power plus 70. This field lasts for 2 rounds. He can actively and passively heal your team, making him currently the only character in Honkai Star Rail with comparable healing skills to Bailu.

The passive healing he provides does not require skill points to activate. So he’s a perfect fit for our current active 5 stars, Seele and Jing Yuan, who are skill point negative characters. This means they require more skill points than they generate. Next, let’s focus on the 4-star characters on their Banner.

    Silver Wolf 4 Stars

Silver Wolf banner features Dan Heng, Asta and Serval. Dan Heng and Serval can be great DPS units for free-to-play players. While Asta is an invaluable support, she rose to fame in the higher tiers of Memory of Chaos.

    Luocha 4 Stars

Luocha Banner has Pela, Qingque and Yukong. Pela is another recurring character in Memory of Chaos, offering the ability to dispel enemy buffs. And Qingque is an excellent Quantum DPS, especially for those without Seele. And Yukong can buff the attack and crit of allies, making her have the same team buffer as Tingyun.

    Who Should You Pull?

Having said that, the 4-star characters in Silver Wolf Banner can all be obtained for free through normal play. So instead of adding any new people to your team, you’ll get Eidolons for each character.

In contrast, 4 stars in Luocha Banner offer 2 characters you can only get in Warps, Pela and Yukong. Therefore, many players will only use Natasha as a non-primary character to enrich them.

And Luocha emerged as a very clear winner in Honkai Star Rail 1.1. He’s such a powerful healer that can make your time in Memory of Chaos even better. If you have the outfits of Natasha and Bailu, as a free player, you can consider pulling Silver Wolf first. But even so, Luocha is superior to them to heal.

    Outro

The choice is to build your team around your personal favorite characters. I’m just here to give you a guideline and provide some insight into these banners. You can choose a new Honkai Star Rail Account to try out these two characters to give you a more concrete feeling. Good luck.

  • Honkai Star Rail: Everything You Should Know About Silver Wolf - Skills, Talent, Ultimates & More

    Posted: Jun 07, 2023

We’re going to be talking about my favorite Stellaron Hunter, Silver Wolf. Since Silver Wolf is a new character in Honkai Star Rail 1.1 update, I want to introduce this character in detail before you pull her.

    Silver Wolf Kit Breakdown

Silver Wolf is a content type character following the path in the Hillary and she has a special ability to inflict weaknesses onto enemies.

When she unleashes her skill, there’s a chance to inflict a weakness on an enemy target. The weakness type will be the same as at least one of the allies in combat. Her ultimate can reduce defense of a single enemy target and deal damage to them. Whenever she attacks, she also has a chance to implement a random bug on a target enemy, which can reduce their attack defense or speed.

    Skills

Now, let’s get a little more in depth with her skill kit. To begin, let’s discuss her skill. She’s able to inflict a type of weakness on an enemy. And this enemy will now have a weakness typing of a member on your team, which is useful for being able to ignore the weaknesses the enemy may initially really have.

Along this, Silver Wolf will be able to reduce the enemy’s resistance to that element attack type for a few turns, which is always useful. Silver Wolf can only implement one weakness at a time. And if you were to use her skill and a different element was inflicted, then it will replace the previous one.

Additionally, she has a high chance to reduce their all type resistance, which is also good. And as a result, her skill is able to inflict numerous debuffs onto the enemy and is very strong overall.

One final thing about her skill though is that there is a trace, which enables her to extend her weakness inflictation on the enemy, which can allow her to use her skill and then normal attack until it’s time to inflict the weakness typing again. This means she can actually be efficient with her skill points and can be used as a skill point battery if you will to get back skill points after using her skill.

    Talents

Next, let’s go over her Talent, which enables her to inflict bugs on the enemy.

Each time Silver Wolf attacks, she’s able to inflict a bug on an enemy, which can be reducing speed, defense, or attack. And you will be able to have all three of these bugs alongside the other debuffs you inflict on the enemy at the same time since bugs do last numerous turns. Even if you’re normally attacking, you can still inflict bugs.

Silver Wolf has a trace, which can also extend bug duration similarly to the trace I mentioned, regarding her skill that extends the weakness application. It allows Silver Wolf to implement a bug whenever the enemy is weakness broken.

Due to the wording of this not explicitly saying Silver Wolf herself has to weakness break, I’m going to assume that the bug can be inflicted no matter what ally weakness breaks the enemy, which can be very powerful with an AOE partner, like Jing Yuan, Himeko and possibly even Herta. Since if your weakness breaks all enemies, now she has the potential to inflict a bug onto every enemy on the field, which can assist with her single target kit she has. As now there is a way to inflict bugs in an AOE sense with the help of another character weakness breaking, overall though her bug mechanic is really strong.

    Ultimates

For her ultimate, she’ll be able to reduce the defense of an enemy and inflict damage on the enemy. Her ultimate has a high chance of doing this, which is very good.

Being able to reduce defenses is beneficial since if you use her for free or start light cones (which we do have confirmation from HoYoverse that it could be superimposed as well through the event you gain), then she’ll be able to get more effect hit rate, which I’ll get into a bit why affect hit rate matters. But she also gains back energy each time she attacks an enemy that has reduced defenses, which she can inflict defense reduction through her ultimate and her bugs.

So, she’s able to regenerate energy at a consistent rate, which allows her to use her ultimate more frequently and keep the defense reduction consistent overall.

    Techniques

Lastly, let’s go over her technique. She’s able to deal Quantum damage to all enemies and reduce their toughness meters regardless of what weakness the enemy is weak to.

Enemies with their weakness broken this way will trigger the Quantum weakness break effect, which is entanglement. Her technique is a strong way to get a head start on any enemy you fight in the game.

Important Things To Consider About Silver Wolf

Now that we’ve gone over Silver Wolf’s kit and basics, let’s go over some key recommendations and factors for her build and play style.

When you build Silver Wolf, you should achieve a few things. To begin with effect hit rate, this is crucial for Silver Wolf and one of the most important things to build. Majority, if not all of her kit, is essentially a base chance, which goes against the enemy’s resistances. Getting effect hit rate is able to increase your overall chance to inflict debuffs onto enemies consist instantly.

Let’s use Gepard as an example. He has a 65% base chance to freeze through his skill and now against an enemy boss, which usually has about 50% resistance. This is his overall chance to actually land the freeze without any effect hit rate investment.

Now if we were to build effect hit rate, his chance to hit the freeze greatly increased from before. If you’re wondering where to look at the picture, I would recommend you look where it says overall chance since that is your overall chance you’ll actually be able to inflict the debuff onto the enemy. And this demonstrates how crucial the effect hit rate is on characters who have base chances in their kit. As such, Silver Wolf will need a hefty amount of effect hit rate.

    Speed

    Now, let’s discuss speed.

The reason why speed is good for her is that if she’s able to go two times per some turn cycles, then she can regenerate skill points much faster for your team.

For instance, let’s say she goes twice in a cycle or turns one. She can use her skill, which you’d want her to act first in the turn order. So, allies can take advantage of her skill, which is the weakness type infliction on the enemy. And then, if she acts again in the turn cycle, then she can normally attack possibly inflict another bug, which now has the possibility of having two bugs on the enemy and only turn one and also regenerate a skill point. Because of that, I would recommend the 134 speed tier 4 Silver Wolf.

Lastly, for some considerations for her build I recommend looking into the speed boots because of what I just told you guys the effect hit rate body piece. So, she’s consistent with debuffs and possibly an energy regeneration rope, such as an attack rope or even a break rope.

Energy regeneration is pretty good for Silver Wolf. Because if you pair it with her 4-star light cone, she’s getting back for the ultimate pretty quickly, which is always nice. And break is good for her if you’re intending to break the enemy with Silver Wolf to cause entanglement and the potential of inflicting bugs while you’re at it.

As for the playstyle as previously mentioned, you’ll want to have her go first in the turn order in order to inflict the weakness onto enemies and possible bugs. So, your teammates benefit. And from their normal attack until it’s time to use her skill again, which can effectively make her a skill point battery to regenerate skill points for your teammates.

If you can’t wait to own Silver Wolf, it would be a good choice to directly purchase a Honkai Star Rail Account with this character.

  • Honkai Star Rail: What Effect Does Effect Hit Rate Have On Silver Wolf?

    Posted: Jun 05, 2023

Today we talk about Silver Wolf in Honkai Star Rail. Her Skills, Ultimate, Talent and the first major Trace all have a base chance to apply different debuffs. But what are the base chances and how much do hits matter to her?

We need to make sure her debuffs actually land most of the time to answer that question. You must first know how debuffs work in this game. They cannot inflict debuffs on enemies through skill effects.

Successful Landing of your debuff doesn’t just depend on chance dictated by the skill. Such as Sampo’s Technique, even with 100 base chances. It doesn’t guarantee your debuff Landing, since enemies also have effect resistance multipliers. Let’s dissect the formula for debuff Landing probability.

    Debuff Probability Break Down

Each debuff normally has a 150% base chance of breaking an enemy’s skill debuff. Then there’s Effect Hit Rate from scratch. You can get more Effect Hit Rate from Relic, Light Cone, Skills and other sources.

For example, Pela’s Major Trace can increase the team’s effective hit rate by 10%. Also, her Trace provides an additional 10% boost to herself. For the upcoming Light Cone, you can also use it as the main stat for Relic peace, up to 43.2%.

Next, let’s look at effect resistance. Normal mobs usually have anywhere from zero to 10% base effect resistance. Elites and Bosses can deal with 20% to 30% resistance when enemies level up above 50.

They gain an additional 0.5% Effect Resistance rate per level, with enemies level 90 ahead having 50% Effect Resistance at the end of Memory of Chaos. Some effects such as Blessings from Simulated Universe or Silver Wolf Eidolons can directly reduce the enemy’s Effect Resistance.

Finally, there is a resistance for special effects, usually marked with resistance tags on enemies, which are only applied if the debuff type is currently aligned. But it has no way to reduce special drag outside of Simulated Universe.

How Much Effect Hit Rate Does Silver Wolf Need?

Look at Silver Wolf again. Her Trace has 18 Effect Hit Rates. The 4-Star Light Cone before the tutorial mission is available from an upcoming event. It provides another 40% Effect Hit Rate at S5. Combined with the 58% Effect Hit Rate, this is easily a level 90 boss fight.

But honestly, that doesn’t guarantee that your debuff will land successfully. You still need an additional 43% Effect Hit Rate in addition to combining it with the 58% Effect Hit Rate you get for free.

Now this isn’t hard to achieve since the body part can override it with its main stats and she is relatively easy to build. If you use her signature Light Cone, you now need to get another 16% Effect Hit Rate from Relic to guarantee 100 landing chances.

Comprehensive Effect Hit Rate is required. The easiest way to build her is to build her as standard support. Effect Hit Rate as the main stat for the body, this will ensure a reasonable chance of debuffing end game content like Memory of Chaos.

Now you can focus on crits instead of affecting her Relic’s Hit Rate. That’s all for this time. Hopefully, you understand how Effect Hit Rate works and have a rough idea of how much Effect Hit Rate Silver Wolf needs. Of course, I still recommend that you get a Honkai Star Rail Account to experience it yourself, which will help you better understand how this mechanism works.
