As a successful MMORPG, Elder Scrolls Online has maintained good popularity since its launch in 2014. To this day, an average of 30,000 players are still conducting various interesting explorations and battles on Tamriel continent every day.

If you are one of these players, then you must know that Tamriel is the main background continent in ESO. It is extremely vast, containing various game areas with different landforms and styles, and it is also the story foundation for the main storyline of the game.

But besides these contents, there are actually many rich side stories in ESO for you to complete. They not only have high-quality stories independent of the main storyline but also provide you with various props, including Elder Scrolls Online Gold as quest rewards.

Based on this, we will select 7 side quests worth completing for you among all the side quests in the current game.

1.Unearthed Quest

This quest is given to you by Foreman Gandis of Shor’s Stone Mine, who can be found in Skyrim, the cold but bustling northern region of Tamriel. He will then ask you to first free his men from Reachmen hiding in the ancient companion’s tomb.

After successfully passing the persuasion check, you can get a key to a secret door to make it faster through the mines and reach the tomb. However, the last chamber is protected by a puzzle, and this puzzle requires you to visit an antechamber to find Medallion of Fireheart, and then visit another antechamber to find Amulet of Darkhammer. Completing this will give you Gold, around 2800 XP, and Companion’s Chausses.

2. Summer Site

In the jungles of Bosmer homeland of Valenwood, you can talk to Tharuin the Melancholy near Dra’bul Wayshrine and learn that Falinesti Summer Site has been delayed in returning to the area. Tharuin explains that there have been recent lightning strikes and Daedra sightings nearby.

You then need to investigate these events. During the process, you will see a purple light emanating from a stone archway. When you approach, you will encounter a projection of a woman who seems to be trying to save the city.

She then instructs you to meet her in a small cave across a wooden bridge, which triggers a battle with Daedra. This means that the portal to Oblivion is closed and you need to start a boss fight with Tulu the Daedroth.

3. Ghostwriter Of Giovesse

Ghostwriter of Giovesse quest has a classic RPG style and starts with Author’s Assistant Wanted! flyer. In this quest, you need to provide assistance to the author Yisara, who usually appears in Egg and Hammer Inn in Gideon.

At first, it is just a simple escort mission, the purpose of which is to inspire Yisara to write the next novel. But as you progress through the quest, you’ll find that the quest plot is intertwined with Yisara’s novel ideas, leading you and Yisara to search for historical clues in the haunted halls of Castle Giovesse and solve the ultimate mystery to complete the quest.

4. Tempest Unleashed

To complete this quest, you first need to complete the prerequisite, which is to bring Maormer Ambassador Ulondil to justice. After that, you need to return to the port city of Mistral, where Sea Vipers have launched an attack on the docks and urgently need you to provide as much support as possible to the defenders.

During the counterattack, you need to clear the combatants on the docks and, under the guidance of the survivors, pass through the tavern and head to the mines. While passing through the wind tunnel in the mines, you will see a projection showing that Sea Vipers have captured the storm element and intend to use it to destroy Mistral.

5. Half-Formed Understandings

If you have been a loyal player of ESO, then you must be familiar with King of Worms Mannimarco. He first appears in Mages Guild questline in Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, where he leads Necromancers. In ESO, he appears in the opening cinematic and will sacrifice your character to Molag Bal.

If you enjoy exploring the deep lore of Elder Scrolls Online, this quest is for you. As you complete the quest, you’ll get to see where it all began, tracing the events that led to Mannimarco’s expulsion from the mysterious Psijic Order and how he ended up in horrific experiments and the darkest depths of necromancy. Upon completion, you’ll also receive Staff of Forbidden Knowledge besides ESO Gold and XP.

6. Vanus Unleashed Daedra

One of the most well-known characters in Tamriel’s magicka lore and Mages Guild, Vanus Galerion is actually one of the most powerful magicians in all of Nirn, and it was he who founded Mages Guild. In this quest, you’ll need to assist him in destroying Great Shackle within Black Forge.

At the start of the quest, you’ll find a recording of Vanus outlining his plans, enabling you to join him. After entering this quest, you’ll need to restore Galerion’s stolen health, magicka, and stamina to restore his full power.

Once you’ve done that, you’ll need to defeat the dremora Kothutuilk and return the stolen energy to Galerion, who will then help you dismantle Great Shackle, completing the quest.

7. Harvest Heart

After Vanus Galerion has successfully taken over Chasm region, he’ll assign you another quest to take on vampires. To do this, you’ll enter Molag Bal’s realm and face off against his infamous Harvest Hearts. Vanus believes that the best way to deal with vampires is to defeat them and mark their sanctuaries with your own blood.

Completing each of these quests will reward you with Elder Scrolls Online Gold and a lot of XP, as well as some specific game items, which is a great deal.

Today I'd like to talk about something that got leaked in Elder Scrolls Online. Recently I'm sure a lot of you have probably already heard about this, during ESO Tavern, the dev team kind of talks about some of the stuff that's going on this year was hosted in Germany, and of course they talked about a lot of different stuff, just involving what's going on inside of Elder Scrolls online. 

Information Leaked By A Developer

But during this event, one of the developers accidentally kind of gave a little bit more information about, what exactly we can expect with that Endless Dungeon in quarter four. It wasn't a ton of info, but we have heard about this Endless Dungeon and we're kind of curious exactly what it's going to be, because we heard it's going to be a kind of a two-player experience, or something you can do with you and a companion. 

During some of the interviews with the lead encounter designer that accidentally revealed that Endless Dungeon's name is going to be Endless Archive, and they also revealed there will be a new type of like armor sets that are available in Endless Archive. That will be class specific sets, so before that you start keeping your ESO Gold.

Not really any more than that because it was an accident and it was leaked, so they kind of just quit talking about it, but some new armor types was really the most interesting thing about this. Because I think a lot of people are kind of skeptical, I guess about just only being a two-player activity considering, it's an Endless Dungeon I think. 

What This Endless Dungeon Will Be？

There's a lot of players in Elder Scrolls Online that play solo, there's also a lot of players in ESO that like to play maybe with more than two people. If you're a person who wants to play with four or more there are things like Dungeons and things. At the same time I think a lot of people are a little bit kind of interested in also worried at the same time exactly what this Endless Dungeon will be, but the most interesting thing out of all of this to me is those class specific sets. 

I would really like to see how this is going to work, if it's going to be something that Buffs. To certain skills, it was going to be something that Buffs, the entire class itself, so whether you're playing a Sorcerer or the new Arcanist class, Necro, DK and so on, it will buff the entire class or it'll be something that is Buffs particular certain abilities that you can use within those classes.

Summary

Overall, I think adding class specific sets to Elder Scrolls Online would be something pretty interesting that other games have whether it be RPG games, MMO games. But at the same time this is something that definitely could build on going forward, because that would kind of get away from I guess all the sets we have in game that are useless. 

So we know there's tons of sets, a lot of people in Elder Scrolls Online just do not use, there's tons of sets that have been there forever that you can craft or that you can go out in the open world and get, that nobody really uses at all. Having class specific sets would be something that I think a lot of people would be interested in, as long as the benefits of wearing them is actually worth it. 

Endless Dungeon, kind of what your thoughts on it? What you would like to see it kind of be in the end when it is released in quarter four? Would you like to see more of these class specific sets being added to game? How would you like them to work? Would you want to be something that's just certain skills work with this, kind of like we have with Arena weapons or you'd like it to be something more of where it Buffs the entire class as a whole? Maybe what you wish for will come true.

One of the first things that I like to do, whenever I first load into the game anytime a new ESO chapter or a DLC Zone drops is farming Furnishing plans. Why? Because they sell for an insane amount of gold. 

Preface 

Now if you know me well, or have watched a fair amount of my sweaty gold guides, I actually prefer to not farm incredibly RNG heavy activities to farm ESO Gold in this game. I'm too much of a little Mulder to partake in that tomfoolery, it's important to me, that I'm fairly compensated in gold, for the amount of time that I spend actively grinding for it. 

It's why I cringe anytime, someone recommends something wild like farming alien Furnishing plants, or the coveted Khajiit Brazier as a viable and reliable damn bars. Gold farming strategy, you could very well farm for these things for hours, if not days and walk away with absolutely nothing going to show for it in the end. 

There's nothing wrong with seeking out these items of course, but it's important that players are aware of this possibility, before they dedicate so much time to farming for these kinds of items. Farming DLC Zone Furnishing plans is an activity that's kind of in the same vein, which is why I bothered to include this preface. 

Generally speaking, you can spend a long time looting containers in an instance, but you aren't guaranteed a Furnishing plan or a valuable one at that. This notion is one of the reasons, why a lot of purple quality Furnishing plans are worth so much in the first place.

Is Farming For Furnishing Plans Worth It? 

Whenever a new Furnishing plans are added to the game, by way of the addition of a new playable Zone, I make an exception to my gold farming standards, why? Because as I stated previously all of these plans are worth a ridiculous amount of gold, and receiving a Furnishing plan isn't nearly as rare of an occurrence as the aforementioned situations. 

But most importantly, even common green and blue drops are worth a lot when they're first added to the game. So the chances that you'll walk away with some solid cash, after farming for the most recently implemented Furnishing plans are as great as they'll ever be the moment a new Zone drops. 

I would recommend taking advantage of this, especially if you ever have some time to kill while you're in game. Like if you're in a dungeon, or Battlegrounds queue or waiting for your raid roster to fill up, because half the team canceled last minute because they all caught Ligma or something. 

As I'm writing this, Necrom chapter has finally released on PC NA and PC EU servers, as expected of the new Furnishing plans are flying off the shelves, and they're worth quite a lot of gold, these new Furnishings do look quite nice. 

So it wouldn't surprise me if they remain expensive for a fair amount of time, until they get added as part of Master Writs merchants inventory, of course. You're probably wondering where to best farm these new Furnishing plans, let me show you a few locations. 

Two Recommended Farming Locations

Location 1 

This location is ideal, if you're just looking to quickly and casually farm for some plans to kill some time. Cipher's midden is a town, that's located in Apocrypha. Take a brisk walk from the way Shrine to Leramil study and you'll find yourself greeted by a handful of lootable containers in a small little enclosure. 

These containers do not reset, if you simply walk out of the study and back in. So consult your preferred instance resetting method instead mine, involves previewing a home from the crown store, and then leaving the home. Doing this places me exactly where I last was and repopulates containers, so that I can continue farming. 

Location 2 

This location is ideal for those looking to seriously farm for some plans. A heads up though Sailenmora Crypts can only be accessed after you've started the quest that corresponds with this area. This means that you'll have to do a minuscule amount of questing to be able to unlock the place, and refrain from completing the quest, in order to keep this instance open and available for looting. 

After you complete this quest, you won't have access to these Crypts anymore, so you might not want to do that. This also likely means that you'll have to sacrifice a quest journal slot, in order to keep this quest open for maximum efficiency. 

As I stated previously, you'll need to do a little bit of questing before you can access Sailenmora Crypts, but trust me it is so absolutely worth it. Simply talk to this last located by Sailenmora to start the quest, complete a couple of mundane tasks, in the nearby area and Bing Bong have access to the Crypts. 

If you are a Vvardenfell Furnishing plan farming enthusiast, it'll come as no surprise prize to hear that these Crypts are packed, full of lootable urns that can drop Furnishing plants. I mean packed full, this place feels like it has a hundred urns to loot, I was honestly overwhelmed. 

You'll find lots of these little clusters of two to five urns scattered all over the floor, as well as earns lining shelves and in the walls. However, it is important to note that there are ads that will spawn here, not very many of them mind you but it's worth mentioning. Rest assured they are incredibly easy to defeat, making them more of a nuisance, than an impediment. Be sure to farm containers passively while you play through Necrom, there are definitely other great farming spots out there.

I thought I'd at least get the ball rolling, by sharing these two with you all. That'll do it for this article, I hope that if you decide to farm for some Furnishing plans, you are blessed and get some really swanky ones.

The "GRIME" game is a combination of horror, Metroid Castlevania and Soul-like games, and it has also gained a lot of players. But you can buy Train Valley 2, out July 13th, which is also very popular with players.

Train Valley 2 Will Be Replaced

But this coming July 20, Train Valley 2 will be replaced by Murder by Numbers and Elder Scrolls Online. This fits into the normal pattern of Epic Games Store's Thursday weekly rotation. While the sometimes more surprising Xbox Game Pass release schedule is welcome, and the equally solid PS Plus release is great, it's the weekly rotating nature of EGS that really helps it stand out. After all, some players may be excited about this week's Train Valley 2 and next week's two games, so it's really popular.

According to social media sources, Murder by Numbers and Elder Scrolls Online will be available simultaneously from July 20th at 10AM CST until July 27th.

Murder By Numbers

Murder by Numbers is an indie adventure puzzle game set in 1996 Los Angeles. Players take on the role of Honor Mizrahi and find themselves embroiled in a murder mystery as her boss dies shortly after firing her, so all you need to do is complete the puzzle. Players will team up with the robot SCOUT to investigate murders linked to a major dark conspiracy.

Elder Scrolls Online

This game really needs no introduction, as this MMO allows players to explore as many parts of Tamriel as they want, and I believe you already know this game very well, and many players are very interested in farm ESO Gold.

Train Valley 2

Of course, fans can pick up Train Valley 2 and experience it on the Epic Games Store until July 20. It's a niche game, as fans have to like trains and sims to enjoy this game, but those fans will really enjoy it regardless.

It combines trains, tycoon-style gameplay, and puzzles together, while the game also includes player achievements, DLC add-ons, and more. But if you're not interested in the genre, you'll just have to wait a week for your rotation.

The diversity of game types on display at EGS cannot be overlooked either. We covered U39 PTS changes for Elder Scrolls Online yesterday. So let's dive in: Damage to monsters effect will now affect proc damage and all DPS changes.

Damage To Monster 

So now Relequen, Zaan and Pillar of Nirn but also Burning status or Poisened status are getting affected by Bahsei, Ansuul, Major and Minor Slayer, very nice change. DK is getting a minor nerf on their Burning damage. 

DK Nerf 

Damage loss but doesnt change much, DK is still S tier Necromancer colossus is getting a cost reduction and Vuln duration is getting extended. 

Necro Buff 

Pretty insane change, but that's sadly gonna make Necro dps even weaker, as you now can take care of the major vuln uptime by yourself as Support Necro or Tank Necro with just Nazaray and Pillager, so you have even less reasons to bring a Necro to your raid, damage being terrible, But this does not affect ESO Gold you get.

We can only hope for Zos to revert some of the nerfs to blastbones, siphon, archer, the execute passive, the dot passive, boneyard, boneyard synergy, Orb and so on, the list is pretty long, it's pretty insane how bad Necro kit currently. 

I find kinda insane that they are not even reverting the execute passive to what it was while Templar Beam exist. Nightblade's Merciless resolve, the bow proc, gets a pretty huge buff, the ability is now fully passive and doesnt need to be activated anymore. 

Grim Focus/BA Change 

It's a nice Quality of life and a little damage increase for NB. Sorcerer Bound armement get a similar change exept that the skill got nerfed to the ground during U35, and even with this change it's still just bad. 

It's litteral damage loss to press the skill on a normal sorc setup as it does less damage than a spammable cast and I'm not even talking about the fact that you would need to remove a pet to slot it. 

Weapon Passive Changes 

Lot of weapons are getting their passive changed: Bow range passive, who used to be until 12% damage done with your bow abilities, is now 5% to evething and 6% crit if you stand a bit far from your target. It makes bow way stronger, Templar is very happy to get a 5% damage boost on Beam. 

Fire staff is nerfed to the ground, it now increases status effects initial hit by 500: this is straight up terrible, the weapon was weak already but now it's laughable, I tried it on dummy and this is so weak that I couldn't even notice a difference with the new passive and without. 

Lightning staff is kinda buffed, it's now a 12% damage increase to your channel or damage over time, so a mini deadly strike pretty much. It's strong on paper on Templar and Arcanist, as it boosts Jab/Jesus beam/Dragon ball beam, but it's still weaker than Daggers from what I tested. Penetrating magic passive is now 3k pen but only to staff abilities for some reasons, so it's still useless. 

Trifocus/Oakensoul Builds Nerf 

Trifocus gets some changed, now the fire heavy attack puts a 20s dot, it's kinda funny as you can now precharge a fire heavy attack before pulling the boss. The shock staff heavy now only cleaves on the final tick, it's a massive nerf to oakensoul builds. 

2H passives gets a nerf, kinda nothing to say here it's just a bit weaker than before. Dual wield passives gets a nerf, daggers lose 1% crit, not the end of the world it's still the best frontbar weapon. 

Mael 2H Big Buff 

UNLESS: Maelstrom 2H is getting a massive buff, now when you stampede you buff all your 2H abilities like Wreaking blow, carve, executionner and so on. It's very strong, you can see in background a nightblade parse I made with stacking 2H abilities and got almost 133k dps.

Azureblight Buff/Nerf 

Azureblight is getting a "buff", now each explosion has a 0.5s internal cd but in counterpart you can already build up the stacks of the next one and the explosions are stronger than before, so it's supposed to be better now. But it's buggued and can't crit anymore, even tho the set litteraly gives you a crit line. 

So on the current pts it's terrible, like not just bad, actually insanely terrible and useless. A comparaison to understand better: I placed 10 dummies in one place to create the best scenario possible for Azureblight, and it got outdamaged by caltrops, the weakest dot in the game. I don't know if that's intended or not but let's hope they will change that. 

Pillager Fix

Pillager profit is getting fixed, took 4 monthes but now at least we can raid again.

Everything New In Elder Scrolls Online

ZeniMax Online Studios hosted a live stream on Bethesda's Twitch channel on July 10, 2023 to discuss the upcoming Elder Scrolls Online game update patch. Update 39 is now live in-game via the Public Test Server (PTS), and players can now also check out the patch notes, which reveal new content as well as a host of balance changes and improvements.

Three New Cyrodiil Monster Masks

For the new content of the game update, three new Cyrodiil monster masks will be added to the game. According to the developer, these masks and shoulder armor can be purchased from elite equipment suppliers if players want to get them. Each container costs players 50,000 Alliance Points, so if you want to buy them, you must prepare points in advance.

Additionally, each page can get their respective Style Pages for 150,000 Alliance Points, and depending on your affiliate, suppliers can be found at:

• Aldmeri Dominion: Shadura, an elite gear supplier, can be found at East Elswell Gate in southern Cyrodiil

• Ebonheart Pact: Eye of the Path, which you can find at North Morrowind Gate in northeast Cyrodiil

• Daggerfall Covenant: Lilu Gilderoth, which is located around South High Rock Gate northwest of Cyrodiil

New Cosmetics

Additionally, there are new cosmetic items introduced in Update 39, including PvP face and body markers, which also require the player's Alliance Points and Gladiator Proof. Players will also be able to purchase two new houses from Crown Store and an upcoming in-game event.

More Furniture

Decorations are also available for purchased houses, with more furniture coming to the game soon, and like the previous ones, these can be obtained from rewards or loot for completing Necrom Dailies and defeating world bosses on Telvanni Peninsula. Players who have not yet acquired Ancient skill line can now purchase it from the Crown Store using ESO Gold, provided the skill has been unlocked on a character and has reached the cap.

New Event "Undaunted Celebration"

Finally, a new event, "Undaunted Celebration," will be available for playtesting, allowing players to go head-to-head with dungeon bosses. Players who complete the test can earn rewards like two event tickets and Glorious and Fearless reward box, and defeating a boss in Veteran Hard Mode will earn you an Opal shoulder style page.

39 Patch: Tweaks And Bug Fixes

In addition to new content that players will be able to playtest for a limited time, there will also be some bug fixes and tweaks to the game. These include combat and gameplay, items and item sets, companion changes, and you can also explore slowly in the game.

Background About Necrom

In Elder Scrolls Online Necrom, your adventure starts when you befriend a scholar named "Leramil the Wise", and you sign a soul bond with a Daedric Prince as you help her contract. The main content of the game is that Hermaeus Mora, the lord of knowledge, has experienced an invasion in his hometown of Apocrypha, which may lead to the complete collapse of the real world. And you, as a true hero, set out on a quest to solve many Lovecraftian mysteries, while unraveling the chaotic depths of Apocrypha and facing the bizarre difficulties of its many cosmic horrors, a test for every player.

Before you enter the hellscape of Hermaeus Mora's home world, you'll come to another new area: Telvanni Penisula. Located on the east coast of Tamriel, this area is spectacular with lush exotic flora, roaming fields filled with tons of mushrooms, and you'll want to be careful here as you might find some hidden rewards like ESO Gold. Necrom, the eponymous capital of the Telvanni Peninsula, is built on top of a massive Dark Elf cemetery and honeycomb catacomb system, giving players a very eerie feeling.

The stunning place in Necrom is Apocrypha, and it's definitely one of the most visually appealing areas in all of Elder Scrolls Online. This area has a changeable sky, revealing strange horrors, leaves and landscapes that violate the natural order, and the scenes here are far beyond the players' imagination. During your quest, you'll travel through forbidden libraries full of secret lore, universities dedicated to the dark arts, and many other magical places.

The sights and sounds of Apocrypha have a different vibe and some weirdness that you'll find haunting you even after you've completed your quest here, and it's certainly a high point in the gameplay session.

Introducing Necrom's New Features

Necrom definitely packs a ton of content you'd expect, including some fresh areas filled with quests, dungeons, and world events. For the most part, the quests inspire a sense that you're on an adventure, that XP grind is never-ending, but you can also feel like it's all about being enjoyable. Of course, there are some main and side quests with memorable characters and interesting objectives. Especially in Apocrypha, even trivial side quests are very immersive.

If you want to add members to your adventuring group, you can recruit two new companions, including a Redguard Arcanist named Azandar and an Argonian Warden named Sharp-as-Night. Both of these are worthy of your pick due to their excellent class abilities. You may need help during the game, as the new Bastion Nymic world event can be very difficult for you to progress alone. If you have a large team, you can also challenge Necrom's 12-person team copy dungeon Sanity's Edge, which will definitely bring you a different experience.

In addition to this, Necrom also offers a new character class, Arcanist. These rune-bearing mystic masters can play a variety of roles in the game, but they are best at dealing damage with strange dark magic.
