A recent group interview with Diablo 4 developers revealed some interesting new information. Details about UI changes, Diablo 4’s official release date, and other upcoming features are discussed in this interview. Such as leaderboards, clan features and more.
UI Changes
First, let’s talk about possible UI changes. When asked if it would update UI with additional quality-of-life features before launch, the developer said that while some of these issues could be fixed, there wasn’t enough time.
They also stated that they want UI to be accessible to all types of players. Hopefully, this means developers will add UI features such as overlayed maps. This also means that a gem tab may be added, as the team has listened to Open Beta feedback.
Official Release Times
Regarding the official release time, Blizzard Entertainment president Mike Ybarra recently tweeted that Diablo 4’s official release time is slightly different from the announced time.
Starting on Thursday June 1st at 4 PM PST and 7 PM EST the Early Access for Diablo 4 will officially launch, with the regular launch happening June 5th at 4 PM PST and 7 PM EST. That’s different from June 2nd and June 6th we’ve heard before, but that’s fine, and it sounds like we’ll be able to play a day earlier.
Leaderboards
On the competitive side of Diablo 4, they have confirmed leaderboards related to competitive leaderboard events to be added post-launch. When asked what leaderboards and Diablo 4 might look like, Joe Shely said they need to be fair and well maintained. They should be associated with competitive activities, not just general activities.
That’s great to hear, because people are concerned about how leaderboards will be implemented in Diablo 4. There are a few ideas thrown around, such as speed running types of activities and Nightmare dungeons and possibly upcoming competitive seasonal features. In addition to leaderboards, it planned other clan features for post-launch.

Clan Features
As of now, the clan system is essentially just a chat room with no other functionality. But when asked about possible clan-specific events, such as organizing a Clan World Boss Raid. Joe Shely says it’s a really cool idea. While most players prefer to play the game alone and just grind, there are plenty of people who want the ease of playing with friends.
Unrevealed Endgame Content
There’s also some other information in this interview that I find generally interesting, such as unrevealed endgame content. But other than that, there seem to be some surprises in the official patch. We also know there will be a Paragon boss at level 100, but otherwise, we’ll just have to wait for the game to launch.
Secret Cow Level
Regarding that Secret Cow Level, Diablo 4 has no relevant information yet. But it should be similar to how Diablo 3 players get Cow Level after many years. Probably Diablo 4 players will also get their own Cow Level in a few years.
More Uses For White And Blue Items
The last piece of information is that the developers are interested in making white and blue items more useful than recycling. White and blue items seem to become more powerful and useful in higher world tiers. Players can accumulate some of them, which may save you a lot of Diablo 4 Gold later on. In the meantime, it will be interesting to see if we can use them in future productions.
That’s all we can tell based on interviews with Diablo 4 developers. If you have any other comments, welcome to discuss them in the community. Players can also continue to prepare before the official release of Diablo 4, and hope that players can get a satisfactory result.
