  • Diablo 4 Season 4: These Changes And New Features In The PTR Are Quite Eye-Catching!

    Posted: Apr 11, 2024

As the Public Test Realm (PTR) for Diablo 4 Season 4 is going well, I’ve noticed some major improvements and new content coming to the game. Now, we’ll delve into 5 outstanding things that illustrate the game’s impressive advancement as we continue.

    Pit Of Artificers

The first notable addition is the introduction of the Pit of Artificers, essentially the upgrade of pits from Diablo 3. However, it’s not something you can jump into at Level 1 or World Tiers 1 and 2. You’ll need a fairly powerful character, ample playtime, and a solid build before venturing into these rifts, as they start at Level 100.

Your proficiency and familiarity with the game will dictate how early you can tackle these challenges. It remains to be seen whether any adjustments will be made to this system. While you don’t receive many items as rewards, you can obtain valuable crafting materials, enhancing your items through Masterworking.

This is primarily an endgame system, but it’s precisely what Diablo 4 has needed. Once you reach Level 100 and accumulate significant playtime, the game can feel somewhat lacking in content. The tiered system, possibly extending to Tier 200, provides players with substantial content to engage with.

Overall, the randomly generated maps, diverse monster encounters, and unique background settings make the rifts a fantastic addition. However, they may become accessible earlier in the game, to provide more players with engaging content as they progress towards World Tier 3.

    New Crafting System

The next fantastic addition coming is the crafting system called Masterworking. Upgrading gear before in Diablo 4 wasn’t particularly exciting, it just slightly improved stats. But I think the fact that now we’ve got the tempering system, and the tempering will affect how the items interact with your build. This adds a bit of variety and that’s available throughout Diablo 4 Season 4.

When you enter the pit and engage in pit runs, gathering materials allows you to masterwork your items. This is a little similar to the old style upgrading, where it just kind of improves that. On the tempering system, you’re going to have to find your greater affix gear. You’re going to have the crafting system to roll on the correct thing.

I think this endgame is for loot chasing, perfecting your build, can take a lot of time and even Diablo 4 Gold. Going back to the fact that the pits combined with this crafting system, I think it’s going to be really nice to give people a real endgame build target to really chase.

    The Expansion Of Helltides

One significant change that will affect every player diving into the game is the expansion of Helltides into World Tiers 1 and 2. Players are eagerly awaiting World Tier 3 because of the appeal of Helltides compared to dungeon runs.

The Helltides in Season 4 serve as an excellent leveling method, offering abundant experience points and enhanced density. The revamped experience includes a plethora of monsters and items, albeit with a slight reduction in item quantity. Nevertheless, it remains an efficient method for progression.

The new update Helltides also featuring numerous events and challenging adversaries spawned, adds an exciting risk-reward dynamic. Playing on World Tier 2, which presents increased difficulty, further heightening the excitement.

Collecting Cinders throughout the Helltide prompts a strategic choice: should one save them for a substantial XP boost at the end or utilize them to open chests along the way? It is recommended to target farming gear, whether weapons, armor or jewelry, by opening treasure chests.

    Item Changes

The last outstanding thing is the general item change. Fewer items drop overall, which is enjoyable as it reduces the need to constantly check the inventory. Coupled with the improvement of the axes, they’ve been made more powerful and easier to handle. Combining this with the Codex change is powerful.

Now when you salvage legendary items, it upgrades your Codex. It’s like a progression system where finding higher-level Codex of Powers or Legendary items improves your Codex over time. This allows players to jump into the game at level one with the Helltides without the pressure to acquire all the Codex from dungeons.

    Boost On Minions

There are still a lot of improvements that could be made in Diablo 4 Season 4. The minions have been greatly improved and there could still be improvements to it. During the initial stages of Diablo 4, minions were actually quite powerful.
