  • Diablo 4: Is the Mage-Lord’s Aspect Good or Not? - Lightning Sorcerer Key Passives Deep Analysis

    Posted: Aug 30, 2023

I got drops of the Mage Lord's Aspect recently. And I did a couple of testings to see if it is a good aspect in general. Let’s find out!

    Mage-Lord’s Aspect

First, a bit of context on the Aspect itself.

The Mage-Lord’s Aspect offers a up to 9% Damage Reduction if there is one enemy in close distance and up to 27% Damage Reduction if there are three or more enemies.

Also, we will need to use the key passive Vyr’s Mastery to be able to enjoy the benefits.

One note is that, it offers Damage Reduction, not Damage Reduction to close enemies. This means that if I am surrounded by 3 or more enemies, I get the 27% Damage Reduction from distant enemies, too.

    Close Enemy Definition

Second, there could still be confusions: What does “Close Enemy” mean? How close does this “Close” here refer to?

There are two common things to visualize the close distance:

One, the range of the Frost Nova skill. It shows the full range of the close distance definition. Or two, the Stormbane’s Wrath from the nightmare dungeon also shows the full range of the close distance.

    Vyr’s Mastery Deepdive

Now, we understand the Mage-Lord’s Aspect and the close distance definition. The Mage-Lord’s Aspect also requires the key passive Vyr’s Mastery. Let’s take a look at what we can get from this key passive.

First, the Vyr’s Mastery increases 15% damage to Shock Skills. And since Critical Strike is fairly often, we can treat it as a flat bonus of 15%*125% =18.75% damage boost to Shock Skills.

But it only adds damage to Shock Skills, meaning that it won’t add damage to the Crackling energy, as it is not a Shock Skill. And it doesn’t increase damage to Frozen Orb or Hydra. So, if you are running hybrid builds through Chain Lightning, Frozen Orb and Hydra, it would not be that juicy as it appears.

Second, the Vyr’s Mastery offers a 20% Damage Reduction to close enemies. And since Critical Strike is fairly often too, we can treat it as a flat bonus of 20%*125% =25% Damage Reduction. 25% Damage Reduction is a lot, it is as powerful as a defensive aspect already, like the Everliving or the Snow Guard.

One thing is that it is specifically to close enemies. That, unlike the general Damage Reduction from the Mage-Lord’s Aspect, it won’t offer Damage Reduction for distant enemies.

So in high tiers, I got one shot from distant enemies too, even with the Vyr’s Mastery.

    Mage Lord + Vyr’s Mastery

So, what does it mean to have both Mage Lord and Vyr’s Mastery?

I switched one non-defensive aspect to the Mage Lord, trying to test how much tankier I can be. From my testings, if I am fighting against enemies 30 levels higher, it does feel much easier to facetank 3 hits from them.

Ironically, I die a lot from this Death Pulse nightmare dungeon affix. Because enemies are gone that I don’t have the 27% damage reduction anymore. And if there is just a single enemy with a big hit, I still die before I have full disobedience stacks.

For T90+, I am still not tanky enough that I can shut my brain off and jump into groups without dying. And the Skeleton Corpse Archer is still the worst nightmare. I still need to use Diablo 4 Gold to buy a lot of armor to increase my tankiness.

    Comparison with the Overflowing Energy

What if we use the other Key Passive, the Overflowing Energy?

Let’s go over the Overflowing Energy first. It reduces Shock Skill Cooldowns from the crackling energy. So, only Shock Skills, no Cooldown Reduction to Ice Armor or Flame Shield

Let’s look at what it means for each Shock Skill.

First, Teleport. You can see that with the overflowing energy, the Teleport Cooldown is largely decreased, and sometimes you can even cast one teleport every 1 or 2 seconds.

As we usually run the shimmering teleport, it will be a consistent 30% Damage Reduction. And since we run the Protection skill, it also means more Barrier for further tankiness.

Plus, with the Conceited Aspect, it means more damage, too. And with the Raiment unique, more Teleport means more Stun.

So, more Crowd Control damage amplifier uptime for further damage and less damage from monsters too as they are Crowd Controlled that they would not attack at all. If we have enough damage, enemies are taken down even before they can deal damage.

Last, much more Teleports means we can teleport to safer places more often, avoiding tons of damage, too

Second, same for the Lightning Spear, where the Cooldown goes down extremely fast. So, more stun for further damage and more Crowd Control that you can take enemies down before they can attack you, which would not need damage reduction.

And third, the Ultimate Unstable Currents. I collected a few data on the actual Ultimate Cooldowns with the two key passives. With the Vyr’s Mastery, it is 52s and with the Overflowing Energy, it is 31s. So, the Overflowing Energy kind of doubles the Ultimate uptime for further damage boost.

Also, in my opinion, this is better than the flat 18.75% damage boost from the Vyr’s Mastery as it offers a burst window to take down hard to deal Elites during the Crowd Control period, which will make the fight safer, too. The best defense is a good offense.

    Conclusions

In summary, if you like super casual play style, the Mage-Lord's Aspect plus the Vyr’s Mastery is the way to go for a pure Lightning build like a pure Chain Lightning build as it gives decent damage boost and decent damage reduction. It makes facetanking enemies within 20 levels higher much easier.

By the way, if you don't know how to make your build, this site also provides Diablo 4 Boosting Service. We will try our best to satisfy you according to your needs!

If you enjoy pressing buttons, twice as much Ultimate for burst windows, crowd control monsters and dodge monster attacks through skills, the Overflowing Energy will be your best pal. It is universally good and useful in T100 nightmare dungeons, too.

  • Diablo 4: How to Reset Paragon Board? - Reasons And Steps

    Posted: Jul 06, 2023

For you, completing Diablo 4's main story is just one of the many aspects you explore in the game, not all of you. In fact, many believe that reaching level 50 is where the real fun begins for Diablo 4 players, as this is where you get the chance to explore new features and Paragon Board.

This also makes players try their best to pursue higher levels to explore higher World Tiers. Of course, if you are struggling during the game, you can also choose Diablo 4 Boosting Sevice.

After you reach level 50 in Diablo 4, you'll learn that Paragon Board is the game's final upgrade mechanism. Paragon Board is like a stat-based chessboard, but its importance cannot be underestimated, and each node in it can provide huge buffs to your career.

Here you'll unlock some new spaces to explore, including Paragon Board. However, for those of you wondering if you can reset your Paragon Board if you make some mistakes, here's everything you need to know.

Why Need You To Reset Paragon Board?

Paragon Board is roughly the same as spending Skill Points to upgrade abilities, but it also has different buffs and enhancements for unlocked abilities. When you are unlocking Paragon Board nodes, the final result may not achieve the buff you expected, and you may make some mistakes in the process. At this time, if you need to make some decisions again, you need to reset Paragon Board. Below I will introduce you how to reset Paragon Board in Diablo 4.

How To Reset Paragon Board In Diablo 4?

In Diablo 4, as mentioned above, the working principle of Paragon Board is basically the same as spending Skill Points, but the reset is not so simple, and Skill Points can be reset successfully by clicking refund. Therefore, Paragon Board you need to reset each node individually. The caveat is that this might be fairly easy when you're at a lower level, but as you level up it can get very expensive, it will cost you a lot of Diablo 4 Gold.

If you want to reset these nodes, just hover over the node you want to return and click the button indicated by the game. You can reset any node on Paragon Board, but in some cases you will also need to clear the surrounding nodes depending on the specific buff effect.

    Key Point

The caveat is that you need to pick the powerful nodes you want, and also take your Class into account, so figure out which stats are important to you. For example, Intelligence increases skill damage if you're a Wizard, and Necromancer's willpower increases suppress damage. Deciding which stats to prioritize gives your Paragon Board the most buffs.

Unfortunately, this is currently the only way to reset Paragon Board in Diablo 4. Beta players suggested a dedicated button to make resetting Paragon Board easier, but developers didn't take action. We'll make sure to update this post if they add new methods in the future.

To save you time and Gold, you want to choose the right node to buff for your build. Hope the above content is helpful to you.

  • Diablo 4 Legion Events Explained - What Legion Events Are & How To Access Them?

    Posted: Jun 29, 2023

This guide will be about Legion Events, what they are, and how to access them.

    What Legion Events Are?

Legion Events haven’t been completely figured out like Helltide Events, but they appear to show up every 20 to 30 minutes as a circular icon on the map and have a five-minute countdown before beginning.

If able, you want to arrive at least two minutes before the event starts to stand next to the campfire. After lighting the fire, every eight seconds, we are given a 1% experience boost for the event. This stacks up to 15%, making it take two minutes to max out. You can still enter a Legion Event after it’s already started. You just won’t be able to get the campfire XP bonus

    How To Access Legion Events?

There are three timed waves during the Legion Event where a certain number of enemies have to be killed before the time runs out. In the process of killing enemies, you will harvest a certain amount of Diablo 4 Gold. At the same time, the progress of killing enemies will be shown by the progress bar with the skull, showing how many enemies have been killed and an hourglass showing how much time is left.

On the first wave, if the hourglass reaches the end before the skull, the event is failed, with enemies disappearing and no rewards given. If the skull icon gets to the end before the Hourglass, we move on to the first mini boss, which is called the Servant of Hell

Each Servant of Hell will have three structures that need to be destroyed before they can be damaged. Once they are destroyed, the servant is taken down hopefully before the timer runs out. If they are defeated now, we reset for round two and then round three again until we reach the Overlord boss

If you find it difficult to defeat the Overlord boss, you can check out the Diablo 4 Boosting Service on this website. This way, you can take down some of the more difficult bosses without breaking a sweat.

Once the Overlord boss is defeated, depending on how many servants have held many bosses were killed, we receive one to three chests. So, we made it to round three, but we didn’t kill enough demons in time. The next phase of the event skips right to the Overlord fight, and now we only get the rewards from two of the chests after defeating him.

The events themselves only take six or seven minutes and the rewards seem to be all over the place from rares to Sacred legendaries to Nightmare Sigils. One of the biggest reasons to complete a Legion Event is because of the amount of XP gained from enemies in the small area, including the minimum 25% XP bonus from the campfire, making sure you drink an Elixir and other people being nearby.

There’s also a chance to get the Ghastly Reins to unlock the spectral horse or another mount if that’s something you’re interested in.

Some Notes You Should Be Aware Of

Lastly, there are a couple of notes on the Legion Event.

If it has been over a half hour and you haven’t seen that circular icon appear anywhere, sometimes they can appear where a stronghold is. Just make sure those are completed, so we aren’t missing out on any enemy.

I’ve seen a couple of people in game chat say that you need to keep stoking the fire to get the plus 15 percent. But this just isn’t true. You just click on it once to start the boost and then stand by the fire for two minutes.

During the event, always look at the mini map and try to be the person who’s going to where there are fewer people. In this example, we fight these big groups on the ship and then it splits off to a North and South area. Of the six or seven people in this event, everyone went South, which means I have to go north. I start fighting these enemies with 142 left on the timer and it’s not until nearly 20 seconds later that someone else comes over right when I’m about to start my third group after the ship fight.

We ended up being way ahead anyway, so it didn’t really matter in this instance. But there are events where we were just five seconds too slow to unlock the Mastery bonus. And normally, when that happens, it comes down to people, just not splitting up efficiently.

  • Diablo 4: How To Build Shock Sorcerer Arc Lash? - Skills And Passives

    Posted: Jun 20, 2023

Guide Assumptions: This guide assumes you have reached level 50 and have gained the 10 additional Skill Points. If you have not, you can seek Diablo 4 Boosting. The construction here is a complete Endgame version, which is not difficult for players, and it is worth a try.

    Overview

This build uses Arc Lash as its main source of damage, while also generating additional Crackling Energy. So, we often use Lightning Spears, Ball Lightning, Chain Lightning and Charged Bolts.

In Defense and Survival, we will use Teleport and Ice Armor to protect us. The advantage of Teleport is that it increases the efficiency of Crackling Energy, so that it can hit more targets.

    Skills and Passive Crashes

Here, we'll discuss each of the Skills we used, as well as Passives, that contribute to a good build.

    Skills

Next we go over the main abilities of the builds, where we also explain the purpose of each ability and how they apply to our builds.

    • Arc Lash

Arc Lash has three reasons, solid AoE, constant stun and a decent chance of lucky hits, which work really well. Then it helps speed up the cooldown of the ability, we're going to upgrade it to Glinting Arc Lash.

    • Chain Lightning

When we use Chain Lightning, every time we release a skill, we may get Crackling Energy, which is very useful when attacking enemies. So we will upgrade it to Destructive Chain Lightning.

    • Teleport

Teleport is the movement option we need to use in the game. When we use this skill, it can increase the possibility of Crackling Energy generation. So we will upgrade it to Mystical Teleport.

    • Ice Armor

Ice Armor is a barrier that protects us from damage and is essential in combat. So we will upgrade it to Shimmering Ice Armor, which can increase the perfect recovery speed and have a defensive effect.

    • Lightning Spear

The main function of Lightning Spear is to create a stun, which can increase our damage to the enemy. So we will upgrade it to Invoked Lightning Spear, which can increase the chance of causing stun.

    • Unstable Currents

Unstable Currents is an ultimate that doesn't deal direct damage to enemies, but is also vital for builds. So we will upgrade it to Supreme Unstable Currents and get a lot of extra benefits.

    Passives

Here we only discuss the main passives that you want to know, that is, Key passive.

    • Overflowing Energy

Overflowing Energy has the effect of quickly reducing the cooldown of skills, including Teleport, Lightning Spear and Unstable Currents. With Overflowing Energy, Crackling Energy will also become more powerful.

    • Glass Cannon

We will be protected by various barriers, our mobility with Teleport and our Stuns become free damage for us.

    • Precision Magic

Precision Magic relies on Lucky Hit triggers to increase the likelihood of them happening.

    • Protection

We need to use Align the Elements to achieve Protection, which is also the best defensive passive. We're able to have high uptime on this free barrier through frequent cooldowns.

    • Static Discharge

If our skills are not enough, then Static Discharge may make our Critical Strike generate more Crackling Energy, which also means that the corresponding cooling time is shorter and the mana value is higher.

    • Course Currents

During the battle, Cousing Currents is equivalent to Critical Strikes. When we use many skills, we will use Coursing Currents to stun the enemy. It can also generate Crackling Energy.

    • Invigorating Conduit

Invigorating Conduit gives us a lot of extra mana by generating Crackling Energy, The more mana we have, it'll be to sustain our Crackling Energy is simpler.

    • Convulsions

Convulsions help keep us at a safe distance from enemies, allow all of our Shock Skills to stun enemies, and also help trigger Shocking Impact or Glinting Arc Lash.

In Diablo 4, if you are familiar with the above guidelines, you will surely be able to successfully build your own powerful character.

  • Diablo 4: Best Farming Spots After Nerfs! - Dungeons Farming Guide

    Posted: Jun 15, 2023

A hotfix has come in nerfing a bunch of the farms, which begs the question: which is the best farms that you should be doing now to get a ton of XP or loot whether you’re in solo play or in party play?

So, I’ve rounded up here some dungeons that are still worth farming even after this hotfix.

    Forsaken Quarry

Let’s start it off with Forsaken Quarry. It’s just north of Kyovashad. This one is super linear, super fast, and short to complete with a bunch of mobs and it yields good XP.

For this reason, people are loving this for Diablo 4 Power Leveling while playing solo. It’s very fast to clear and with high-level (80+) characters, it can be defeated in as short as two minutes and will yield around 500 to 550,000 XP.

So, if you are playing solo and want to do a dungeon back to back, Forsaken Quarry is easy to clear and gives you good XP.

    Blind Burrows

Outside of this, the current go-to for party play and leveling up in a group is the Blind Burrows.

Blind Burrows is right near the Rruins of Eridu that was recently nerfed. The reason that blind Burrows is so good, especially for party play, is because the layout of the map has loads of windy different corridors and you have to defeat multiple Elites that are spread out.

In party play, you can go in different directions and kill everything and get a ton of XP for everyone in the group. On top of this, the mob type inside is basically spiders, which means there’s a ton of them and they die very easily. So, it’s really good for getting XP again, particularly in party play where you can split up and clear it even faster.

So, if boosting as a group is your goal, then I would head on over to Blind Burrows, at least as of right now.

Remember, things get nerfed all the time since the hotfixes nerfs can still come in. However, for now, Forsaken Quarry and Blind Burrows are basically the best for either solo or party when it comes to getting XP.

    Guulrahn Canals

The Guulrahn Canals is also quite good.

It has got a bunch of zombie and spider-type mobs. Again, they’re easy to kill and killing them will give you XP. There are also objectives to get corpse piles inside and it’s quite linear.

So, it means there’s a bunch of things to kill and pretty good for getting XP.

Also Read: Diablo 4 Patch 1.0.2d Update Notes! - Changes & Nerfs

    Iron Hold

Iron Hold, on the other hand, has had a bit of a nerf at least we think.

We’ve tested this may be 12 times, and it seems like the Elite packs are still inside. Perhaps they are not quite as common. We were usually encountering at least one, most of the time 2. So, it didn’t seem like too much of a nerf.

And I would say this is still very good for farming rares and legendaries because of the amount of Elites in those Elite packs. But we’re not too sure if this is just our own anecdotal experience from our testing after the hotfix. Other people are reporting it as being very much nerfed for them. But in our testing that we’ve just done after the hotfix, it seems to be still pretty good.

    Uldurs Cave

Another great solo option is Uldurs Cave.

This is a very linear, very fast to clear dungeon, and it’s very good for solo play for this reason.

So, if you don’t like Forsaken Quarry for some reason, Uldurs Cave is another great alternative that you can try and farm it solo.

    Nightmare Dungeons

While these are pretty much the dungeons that you want to be doing after the recent patch, however, we do want to also give a shout out and recommend doing Nightmare Dungeons.

These are probably one of the best things to do if you can handle them at World Tier 4 at high tier difficulty. They simply have a ton of powered up juiced mobs inside. Killing them and you will get a lot of Diablo 4 Gold. More importantly, you will get glyphs and glyph XP.

But if you happen to get a Nightmare Dungeon for a very good type of dungeon that you want to run like the previously mentioned ones, then you should do the reset trick and keep it and run it back to back. This will be more effective.

Also remember the official Diablo Discord is a great place to go if you want to look for a group to farm with. You don’t need voice chat. It’s very easy to team up with people and there is a very active Community there on the official Diablo Discord. Sadly, there’s no mechanic in the game to allow you to actually form a group and reliably do those things as a group, so using Discord is probably your best bet!

  • Diablo 4: A Complete Guide To Earn XP, Legendary, And Gold Fastest!

    Posted: Jun 14, 2023

After the official release of Diablo 4, many players found that some classes and skills were weakened. So a lot of players are concerned about whether this will affect the way we get XP fast, lots of Legendary loot, and epic Gold Farm. So let’s check it out here.

    Overview

Today we take a look at the dungeon Anica’s Claim and its XP, Legendary, and Gold Farm potential. Before the nerf, we saw people bring up to 10 level boosts, 2 million Diablo 4 Gold, and a full set of Legendary gear in about an hour of playtime if RNG gods blessed them. So does this still work after the nerf?

On the map, you’ll find it just below Bear Tribe Refuge waypoint on the far east side of the map. You can access it once you’ve cleared the general stronghold area for Goatman, Elites, and bosses. But we’re going to focus on the dungeon itself that opens right after.

    Anica’s Claim Dungeon Guide

Anica’s Claim is a 3 part dungeon. You can choose to do it fairly quickly solo or in a group. The dungeon should take about 10 minutes to complete if you stay focused.

Inside Anica’s Claim, you’ll find that your first mission is to kill all the large Animus Carriers, aka the large Goatman marked Skull on the minimap. We need to kill them and collect Purple Orbs and Purple Flames to store in Animus Urn in order to open the door to the next area.

You need to basically follow the natural shape of the tunnel with a large circular pattern and use as much AOE and Elite Shred as possible, which will make your challenge here easier. Of course, you can also choose the appropriate Diablo 4 Boosting service, which will help you quickly increase your level and cakewalk the challenge.

Also Read: 5 Tips You Need To Master When Diablo 4 Release Hits

As a bonus, you can use Goatman Elixir to gain a damage bonus to creature types and a 5% XP boost. If you don’t have those, then Elixir of Undead-Slaying or an Elixir that adds evasion or defense stats are also good options.

Once you reach the second largest area, your task is to place Ancient Statue back on Pedestal that closed the boss’ room door. You’ll use the same walk to make a big circle around the tunnel and kill mobs until you find Ancient Statue and drag it back to the boss’ room door.

    How To Get Extra Loot?

While doing this, in this section, you may encounter world events such as Cursed Chest. If you act fast, this can be a great way to get extra loot and XP.

Once inside the boss’ room, you’ll see Shatterhorn encased in ice, with waves of enemies emerging from the floor to attack. Clear the waves, kill the boss, and you’re done.

I have a few strategies for resetting the dungeon, but I recommend keeping it simple and using the “exit dungeon command” and vendor to disarm and return. All in all, I completed this dungeon about 15-20 times in 2.5 hours, and upgraded about 9 levels, earned 3 million Gold, gained 11 Legendary loots, and countless rare items.

    Final Thoughts

If you also complete this dungeon and perform better or worse, don’t forget to chat and see. I’ll continue to test this dungeon and a few others, such as Champion’s Demise dungeon, which seems similarly unaffected by Blizzard’s recent changes and nerfs to our favorite elite creatures.

If you’re anything like me, then you’ll love Diablo 4’s dungeons. Hope this method can help you get enough XP, Legendary, and Gold Farm quickly. Good luck.
