  • Diablo 4: Six Ultra-Rare Unique Items And Drop Time - Blizzard Confirmed

    Posted: Jun 26, 2023

After the release of Diablo 4, many players began to look for Ultra-Rare Unique Items they wanted in the game. Especially in the first two weeks of the game's release, this phenomenon is very common, but almost no one finds these items throughout the game, such as Grandfather and Harlequin Crest, these are classic Diablo 4 items.

    Blizzard's Response

So this has caused many players to suspect whether these items have been put into the game.Later, some people responded to this suspicion. Their game character level was around 100, and they found the rare Harlequin Crest in the game, which sparked a bigger debate. Do these items exist in the game? When and where will it drop? What is their drop rate? What are these Ultra-Rare Unique Items? Blizzard has stepped in to answer these questions. It turns out that there are actually 6 Uniques in Diablo 4 game.

Lead Class Designer Adam Jackson, addressed these issues on Twitter:

These Diablo 4 Items will drop from enemies above level 85 in the game, so if you want to get these Uniques, you need to find them. You don't have to be level 85 yourself, it's possible to get them just by defeating level 85 enemies, and you can theoretically find them from mid-level Nightmare dungeons.

There are a total of 6 of these Uniques, and drop location is not fixed, so it does not come from a specific Boss or location. Whether you can get these Uniques also depends on the player's own luck.

    Uniques List

    1. Melted Heart of Selig (Amulet) - Gain 30% Maximum Resource and when you take damage, drain (8 - 3) Resource for every 1% of Life you would have lost instead.

    2. Andariel’s Visage (Helm) - Lucky Hit: Has (15 - 20%) chance to trigger a Poison Nova that deals 10,077 Poison damage to enemies in the area over 5 seconds (plus 1.3 - 2% lifesteal )

    3. Harlequin Crest (Helm) - Gain (10 - 20)% Damage Reduction and + 4 to all Skills

    4. The Grandfather (Two handed sword) - Achieve Critical Strike Damage increase (60 - 100%)

    5. Ring of Starless Skies (Ring) - Each consecutive Core skill cast reduces Resource cost of your net Core skill by (8 - 12%) up to a maximum of 40%

    6. Doombringer (One handed sword) - Lucky Hit: Up to a (15 - 25%) chance to deal 5,822 Shadow damage to surrounding enemies and reduce their damage by 20% for 5 seconds.

All of Uniques listed above increase the stats of the corresponding item.

    Player Concerns About Drop Rates

But here comes the problem, even if the player level of Diablo 4 is higher and the characters are more powerful, the number of these items is too rare. Diablo 4 has millions of players, but only a handful of players have discovered these items.

This makes many players feel unwilling, thinking that this is a guise of Uniques. Players have paid a lot to find Uniques but have not received anything in return. They think that even if their 10 characters have reached level 100, they may not be able to find these Uniques.

Considering the total number of Uniques, frankly speaking, many players are not clear about the power brought by the current Uniques. And whether you can get Uniques also depends on the player's luck, which will also make some players feel uncomfortable. Some players think that the drop rate of Uniques in Diablo 4 is too low.

More Info: Blizzard's Response - Does Each Season Need A New Character In Diablo 4?

There may only be dozens or hundreds of players in the entire game who can get them, so there seems to be no point in pursuing these items, after all, they need to spend a lot of energy. But some people will feel that this kind of exploration of the unknown feels good, but you can guess the scene where he explored for 1000 hours and found nothing.

But I believe that Blizzard will give everyone a satisfactory answer to these questions.

  • Diablo 4: Blizzard Think It Has Gone Gold

    Posted: Apr 19, 2023

Although live-service games and day one patches have changed the gaming industry, "gone gold" is a milestone that still holds significance. Today, Blizzard announced that Diablo 4 has officially accomplished this milestone.

Diablo 4 is a highly anticipated next-generation installment of the iconic franchise, and today it reached a significant milestone as it officially went gold.

This achievement is the result of the incredible work put in by the dev team and represents a major step towards its upcoming launch on June 6th. Blizzard's Diablo general manager, Rod Fergusson, spoke about the significance of this achievement, saying that it is a concrete and meaningful step towards the game's launch.

Regardless of whether we are franchise veterans or newcomers, we are excited for everyone to fully experience Diablo 4, including its engaging storytelling, the ability to experiment with different character classes and builds, and the opportunity to explore the dark world of Sanctuary, as well as its endgame content.

In the days of physical media, game developers would reach a milestone in the development cycle known as "gone gold."

This meant that the game was complete and free of bugs and ready to be printed and shipped out to stores. Essentially, the game was finished and ready for release.

In the current world of live-service games, game development is an ongoing process that continues even after a game's initial release. Despite this, developers still have to reach a point where they are ready to ship the finished product, known as the "ship it" moment, which is why "gone gold" announcements still hold significance.

This milestone represents the completion of the game's development and indicates that it is ready to be released. While post-launch patches can still be used to make changes, the "gone gold" announcement signals that the wait for the game's release is almost over and that the final product is complete and cannot be altered further.

As Fergusson implied, we no longer need to worry about last-second delays caused by unexpected issues discovered during the open beta testing. This means that Diablo 4 will definitely be released on June 6th.

    Lack an Essential Feature

Diablo 4's release is quickly approaching, set for June 6th on both PS5 and PS4. You can buy Diablo 4 Gold in advance.

The game has already gone gold, indicating that development is complete and the finished product is ready to be released. However, there was some bittersweet news accompanying the announcement, as Diablo franchise manager, Rod Ferguson, confirmed in a reply that a familiar feature would not be returning, at least for the time being.

The map overlay, though not the most glamorous feature, allows players to navigate through the Circles of Hell and defeat demonic hordes without breaking the flow of the action.

This feature has been a staple of Diablo games since the first installment, but it will not be making a return in Diablo 4. Instead, players will have to rely solely on the minimap to navigate the game's randomized world.

In a recent Open Beta session for Diablo 4, players noticed the absence of a feature that has been present in previous installments: the map overlay. While some players feel that this feature is essential to the overall gameplay experience, others may view it as less important.

Despite this missing feature, Diablo 4 is still generating a lot of excitement and anticipation, and fans are eager to play the game upon its release. Whether the map overlay is added in a future update remains to be seen, but players can share their opinions in the comments section.

  • Diablo 4: Open Beta May Be Released Soon

    Posted: Feb 13, 2023

Currently, Diablo 4's release date has been set in June 6th. In addition, Blizzard also announced that it would conduct open testing in the future. Now, you can't find anywhere to sign up. However, if you want to get an early access to the game, you can pre-order it. In response, the game's producers have said that it may be available soon.

Earlier, on Twitter, Diablo 4 producer Rod Fergusson said that the open beta start date will be announced to you soon. He said, "If at some point in the game this month, we're going to show up. Then someone might announce something to you at that time..." and this may refer to IGN's Fan Fest 2023 stream later this month.

Diablo 4 is a featured game, and IGN has listed it during one of its streams on February 17 and 18. In response, neither Diablo nor Blizzard's social media accounts indicated that an announcement was expected this month. Considering Diablo 4's upcoming release date and what Rod Fergusson said, whether at IGN's event or otherwise, it seems like a good time to drop the date.

Currently, Diablo 4 has passed both Blizzard's "friends and family" alpha test and another broader playtest. However, both tests leaked several minutes of footage. In September of last year, Diablo also invited Diablo diehards for the endgame beta test.

Last year, I experienced the first area of the game. What can be confirmed is that, both in terms of appearance and game experience, it is very similar to Diablo. In fact, there is no difference between the open world structure and Diablo 3. However, Blizzard said that there is a difference between the two. That is, later you can traverse its large map, and then choose to play in the area you are interested in. I played an old build probably, because in the snowy Fractured Peaks zone, the preview build was locked to that zone. Besides that, while demon slaying still felt good, the in-game quests and dialogues were not finished, and the final assets were replaced with text-to-speech sounds and placeholder text. From this point of view, the completion of the old build is not very high. So, I think the open beta should be more complete.

If I compare Diablo 3 and Diablo 4, I find that Diablo 4 is more like an online service game. You'll only be able to play online, and in open world events you'll also be able to invite other players to help you. Although Diablo 4 is a paid game, it will include a battle pass, which is tied to its endgame seasonal content. And this will start after the game is released. And these contents require a lot of game testing to be correct.

It's not uncommon for Blizzard to run many beta of a game before actually releasing it. Take these two games, World of Warcraft: Dragonflight and Overwatch 2. Blizzard always lets you test games near the end of their release. In the next two months, if the open beta of Diablo 4 is able to start, then you will have enough time to learn about its contents and prepare for its release. After all, no one wants to go through the error 37 situation again.
