One of the key features of Monopoly Go is that it has hundreds of themed worlds, and players progress by completing the construction of the previous world. Each game board contains five buildings, and each board provides 25 upgrades. During the upgrade process, besides seeing the builders and their dust, you can also see green house icons in the experience markers on the construction screen.

In Monopoly, there are eight color sets, six of which contain three unique properties (light blue, magenta, orange, red, yellow and green), while the remaining two sets have two properties each (brown and dark blue). When the player returns to the standard game board from the building menu of the themed world, the game will randomly place houses on different colored Property Tiles.

After successfully placing four houses on a Property Tile, if you build a house on that board again, the game will replace the previous four separate houses with a hotel as a further upgrade. The game will only officially start when all Property Tiles of a certain color set have been built into a hotel.

Once every Property Tile in a color set has a hotel built on it, landing on any Property Tile in that set will cause the hotel on that tile to be removed, allowing the player to start building on that set again. However, before starting to build again, the player can spin the Color wheel as a reward for completing that color set.
