Source: IGGMPlayers familiar with Monopoly Go know that it will launch various Treasures Events very irregularly, and Greek Treasures is the main event at this stage. Although the specific situation has not yet officially appeared, we can estimate it based on previous events.
The prizes are probably the same as the previous Sunset Treasures, thousands of Monopoly Go Dice, event-exclusive shield skins, some stickers, and some cash. But here I need to remind you that if you participate in Greek Treasures, you are likely to lose the opportunity to get Wild Stickers. Remember to think clearly.
This guide will introduce you to some information about Greek Treasures in Monopoly Go, so that you can understand it thoroughly before entering the game and not be in a hurry.
Time
The entire time of Greek Treasures is from July 26 to July 30, and you will have four days to check and dig as many treasures as possible.
Specific Time:
- Start time: July 26th 8 am CDT / 9 am EDT / 6 am PDT / 2 pm BST
- End time: July 30th 2:59 pm CDT / 3:59 pm EDT / 12:59 pm PDT / 8:59 pm BST
How To Play Greek Treasures?
Like most past Treasures events, you will face a series of different grids, some of which hide artifacts with different event themes. All you need to do is use your pickaxe to hit the tiles and find those artifacts.
These artifacts will be hidden in some unexpected places, and each one is random. So is it a pure blind box? Not entirely. Their shape outline will be shown at the top of the grid, and will also leak a little when you hit the nearby tiles. This way you will know there is an artifact when you break the nearby tiles.
Once you have completed a grid and found all the hidden treasures, you can move on to the next grid. Progressing through this grid will also advance your activity milestone level, so your milestone points will continue to grow, and the time it takes to get Monopoly Go Cards and extra dice will become shorter.
Tips On Greek Treasures
There is no perfect way to handle these random events in Monopoly Go, and the best way to do this is to calculate them based on the shape of the artifact.
For example, let’s assume that an artifact is four tiles long and the entire board is six tiles long. Your first hammer can be placed in the middle of the entire board, which will have a better chance of success. If you fail to find the artifact, it means that the artifact is not in a certain row or column.
However, as with random events, you can’t always rely on calculations like this. When you have cleared half of a specific grid, using calculations can help you make the best guess and save your pickaxe.
How To Get Pickaxes?
As with those previous events, you’re going to need a lot of Pickaxes if you want to dig up some of those 20-level-worth rewards. Similar to Peg-E Tokens, you don’t get these Pickaxes on the board, so don’t worry about spending your precious dice here. Here are some ways you can get Pickaxes.
Events And Tournaments
Solo and leaderboard challenges are your biggest suppliers of Pickaxes during events. They typically award over 100 of these tokens depending on how long they run. Whenever a mini-game requires event-specific tokens, they become part of the ongoing challenge rewards.
Quick Wins
Click on WINS button in the bottom left corner of the game and it will show you the daily challenges in Monopoly Go. Whenever you complete them during events like treasure hunts, it awards pickaxes as well as cash, dice, and Monopoly Go Stickers Packs.
Expect to get around 2 to 5 per challenge completed. While there aren’t many of them, they refresh daily, and completing them enough times to fill up the weekly progress bar will reward you with a 5-star Purple Sticker Pack.
The challenges are fairly simple too, and include completing Bank Heist, upgrading 3 Landmarks, and more.
Free Gifts
Free gifts are another way to obtain Pickaxes in Monopoly Go. Head to the shop and swipe four times in the top section, and our jolly old man will point to the gifts. He’ll also let you know when you can claim them, as they refresh every eight hours.
You can also get ticker packs, dice, and cash here, so it’s worth checking back even when there’s no event going on.
Those are all the ways to get pickaxes in Monopoly Go. Usually, they’re enough to get through the quests. You’ll get plenty, and you can even mine as far as Atlantis.
What Happens To Leftover Pickaxes?
In all Treasures Events, leftover pickaxes are converted to dice. An axe rolls three dice, so don’t worry if you’ve already seen the event and have some left.
One way to make the most of it is to not end the event when you are about to finish, but to collect as many Pickaxes as possible. This way, you can get a good dice to start the next big event.
All of this is similar to any other mini-game event, such as Monopoly Go Partners Event and Peg-E. No matter what the event is, you need to stock up on enough dice to have a chance. One of the easier ways is to dice link, which guarantees 25 per day, and even 100 on good days.
The above is a guide to some of Greek Treasures events in Monopoly Go. I hope you have fun at the game.
