Tycoon Racers was an exciting co-op tournament in Monopoly GO that many players left unsatisfied when the event stopped. Excitingly, the event has returned to the game again on August 1 and will run until August 5, 2024, under the name “City Racers”.

To be honest, Tycoon Racers had some issues when it first launched worldwide, so I’m looking forward to seeing if these issues have been resolved in the second launch.

In this event, you have the chance to win Wild Stickers as the grand prize, which differs from other events in the game. Get ready to learn everything about Tycoon Racers in Monopoly GO, from the basics to winning the race. Here we will detail how this City Racers event works and how to maximize the rewards you can get.

How Does City Racers Work?

City Racers is a team tournament in Monopoly GO. You need to team up with three other players and collect Flag Tokens at the beginning of the event. The remaining days of the event will be spent playing against three other teams. If you don’t have three partners at the start of the game, the system will automatically assign you a random player.

You can leave the team at any time before the game starts and form another one. Press the icon with your image in the team and the option to leave the team will appear.

Please note that any friends who are already in the team cannot join your team. So send invitations early to get your best friends to join your City Racers team.

How To Choose The Best Team Matches?

All team matches are based on skill level, which may include inventory such as Monopoly Go Cards and Dice Rolls. Therefore, matches in City Racers are not completely random and the team you play against is similar to the opponents on the leaderboard.

There is a matchmaking program here to complete the team matches distribution. Although Scopely has not publicly talked about bots, some people suspected that bots existed during the global launch.

Event Goal

The goal of your team is to roll three Special Event Dice in the popper using the collected Flag Tokens. You need at least 20 Flag Tokens to activate Tycoon Racers Dice popper so that you can roll once.

You can use a multiplier of up to 20x on your popper roll. Dice rolls turn into points that allow your car to move around the track. The ranking in the race is determined by the value of the dice you roll in the popper.

The team that completes the most laps and is in the lead wins the race, which earns you Medals that can eventually unlock the grand prize. Your ultimate goal is to have more laps and points than the other team to get better prizes.

The final of the three City Racers races is the most important. Winning the last race will earn you double Medals. As I said before, getting the most Medals at the end of this Tycoon Racers will win you the grand prize.

How To Get More Flag Tokens?

Collecting Flag Tokens in Monopoly GO is very similar to Dig Hunt Tokens. You can get free Flag Tokens by completing daily Quick Wins or from links and gifts provided by Scopely. Here are all the ways to collect the most Flags for City Racers event each day:

• Log in everyday to complete Quick Wins.
• Check your free gift status every eight hours.
• Complete daily events that can increase points or dice rolls to earn Flags.
• Increase dice multipliers near Railroad Tiles to earn more Tournament Points, unlocking Flags through Milestone Rewards.
• Collect Flag Tokens on the board.
• Check the daily Monopoly Go free dice link to earn free Flags.

Event Medals

Completing a race in Monopoly GO City Racers event will earn you and your team Medals. The last race will award double Medals. The team with the most Medals at the end of the event will win the championship and receive the grand prize.

Here’s how Medals are distributed per race in City Racers (Medals double for the third race):

• 1st Place: 10 Medals
• 2nd Place: 8 Medals
• 3rd Place: 7 Medals
• 4th Place: 5 Medals

Rewards

Lap Rewards for this event offer reward items through Lap Reward Milestones, just like Solo and Tournament events. The most basic rewards include Dice Rolls, Flag Tokens, Event Cash, Regular Cash, and Sticker Packs for Lap Rewards.

Like Milestone Rewards, Lap Rewards get progressively harder to get. We even felt that the increased difficulty offset the pleasure of the rewards getting bigger and better.

The major difference between regular Monopoly GO Rewards and City Racers Lap Rewards is that you can choose one of two rewards. But I recommend that unless Dice Rolls are more important, choose Flag Tokens. If Purple Sticker Pack is offered and you’re only missing a few stickers to complete an album, you shouldn’t hesitate to opt for Sticker Pack.

We know the end-of-race rewards available in Tycoon Racers at the global launch, but don’t expect them to be exactly the same as the rewards in Monopoly GO event on August 1st.
