MLB The Show 25 Players: Developers Reveal The Highest Player Overall Rating
Posted: Mar 10, 2025 Views: 319
MLB The Show 25 is about to be officially released on March 18, and the developers have released a list of the top players in each position and their ratings. For baseball players, you must be curious to know whether these top-rated players are what you predicted in your mind, so let’s take a look.
99 Overall Rating
99 is an unattainable score, which almost means that the player is perfect. Only three players have received this honor in MLB 25, two of whom are outfielders and one is a pitcher.
Aaron Judge, an outfielder from New York Yankees, has received a 99 rating for two consecutive years. His rating has never been lower than 90 since 2021. In this year’s rating, Aaron Judge is the only player in Yankees with an overall rating of more than 90.
Juan Soto of New York Mets has reached the 99 overall rating position for the first time as an outfielder. The two key ratings of discipline 99 and batting clutch 99 are the key to his 99 rating.
Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Shohei Ohtani is unsurprisingly rated 99. He is one of the best players in baseball, batting and pitching extremely well, which allows him to play both positions in certain game modes.
Players with a 99 rating are definitely the most worthwhile players to invest in with MLB The Show 25 Stubs. Such a high rating means they can be a key player in any team.

Special Ratings
In MLB 25, the overall rating can represent most of the strength of the character but not all the strength of the character. Some players have particularly outstanding statistics in the areas they are good at. For example, the speed of a pitcher’s pitch. Some players have pitched in the triple digits, throwing at 100 mph:
- Mason Miller: 4-seam fastball at 100.9 mph
- Johan Duran: 4-seam fastball at 100.5 mph
- Justin Martinez: sinker at 100.1 mph
- Seth Halvorsen: 2-seam fastball at 100.1 mph
- Abner Uribe: 4-seam fastball at 100.1 mph
- Paul Skenes: 4-seam fastball at 100 mph
Some players are able to catch these super fast balls, and they have very high scores in speed and steal:
- Corbin Carroll: 94 speed and 99 steal
- Dairon Blanco: 94 speed and 95 steal
- David Hamilton: 90 speed and 95 steal
- Esteury Ruiz: 90 speed and 90 steal
Players who show exceptional talent in field and arm:
- Pete Crow-Armstrong: 96 field and 99 arm
- Michael A. Taylor: 95 field and 90 arm
- Blake Perkins: 93 field and 92 arm
- Elly De La Cruz: 90 field and 99 arm
- Cristian Pache: 90 field and 92 arm
If you have enough MLB The Show 25 Stubs, you can choose the highest-rated player without any hesitation. If you don’t have enough stubs, you have to be more careful, look at the data of the players on your team, and find a player who can make up for this shortcoming.
