Genshin Impact: When Will Version 5.0 Be Released And What’s New In It? - New Characters & New Events

These new characters will be divided into different patches, and what we can know so far is that you can get in touch with three new characters in Natlan. In addition, you will participate in some special limited-time events in Version 5.0 and get rewards. Can’t wait? This guide will list some new things that will appear in Version 5.0, but before that, please prepare your Genshin Impact Accounts so that you can get ahead of the official version.

Release Date

Currently, Genshin Impact 5.0 will be officially released starting from August 27th, US time. Because of time zones, the release time of each country is slightly different, but it won’t be too different. You can wait patiently.

New Characters

As mentioned earlier, three new Natlan playable characters will be introduced in Genshin Impact 5.0, namely: Mualani, Kinich, and Kachina. Now let’s get to know them.

Mualani is a 5-star Hydro character. When she fights, she can use a catalyst to make her normal attack deal elemental Hydro DMG to the enemy. In addition, her attack power is proportional to her HP. The higher HP, the stronger the attack power, so she is considered the main DPS on the team.

Besides Mualani’s own powerful attack power, she can also summon a shark-shaped mount, which can increase her movement speed and change her normal attack. On top of that, this shark-shaped mount can also ram marked targets and even fire missiles.

For Kinich, he’s a 5-star Dendro DPS with a claymore, and he also has a mobility skill that allows him to dodge and attack with a grappling hook while in combat. When used outside of combat, he can reach new heights and dash forward with this skill.

Back in combat, Kinich can hook an enemy with that hook and spin it around, then continue to attack the target. Plus, his bomb skill can connect the target enemy with the surrounding enemies, which is very effective against some group enemies. In addition, he can use his Burst skill to summon a pixel-dragon creature Ajaw and deal AOE Dendro DMG to nearby enemies.

The last one is Kachina. She is a 4-star Geo unit with a polearm. She also has a summon skill that summons a drill to help her finish the battle. If placed in the arena, it can also cause periodic AOE Geo DMG. If Kachina uses the drill as a mount, her normal attacks will change to also deal with AOE Geo DMG.

Since the drill will still be around after she leaves the arena after the fight, Kachina can be used as a DPS or sub-DPS in Genshin Impact 5.0.

New Banners

Next up is the banner order. Mualani will be the first new Natlan 5-star character to debut and will appear in Phase 1 banners, which will last from the official release date until September 17. During this time, Mualani’s banner will appear along with the return of Kaedehara Kazuha.

In addition, both of their 5-star weapons can be claimed in the weapons banner. Besides Mualani, Kachina will also make her debut in Phase 1 banners. And in Genshin Impact 5.0, you can also get a copy of Kachina for free.

In Phase 2 character banners, Kinich will make his debut as a 5-star limited character, and Raiden Shogun will also return. This phase will last from September 17 to October 8, and you can also draw the iconic weapons of these three characters in the weapons banner.

New Story And Mechanics In Natlan

In Genshin Impact 5.0, you’ll enter the region of Natlan. While the size of Nation of Pyro will definitely grow in future updates, the initial area is already large, so you can explore it to your heart’s content.

This new region will have unique gameplay mechanics, such as the ability to use Saurians as a means of traversal. In Genshin Impact 5.0, Saurians are dragon-like creatures that are incorporated into some of Natlan’s social structures, with some tribes worshipping different types of Saurians based on different elements, such as Dendro Saurian tribe and Hydro Saurian tribe you’ll encounter in version 5.0.

In addition, Natlan has a new combat mechanic called Nightsoul’s Blessing. There are three aspects to this, and each aspect plays a different role in how certain Natlan characters work. For example, some units can gain some benefits by collecting Nightsoul points, while others will unlock certain special effects when in Nightsoul’s Blessing state. On top of that, Nightsoul’s Blessing also affects your quest, as you may trigger special movement effects when swapping between certain characters, which can speed up or slow down your quest progress.

In Genshin Impact 5.0, you’ll also be taking part in a new Archon Quests, which means the primary campaign of following Traveler in search of his lost siblings isn’t over yet. After you enter Natlan, you’ll see a sign that the tournament is about to begin, and you might think it’s hosted by Mavuika of the Pyro Archon.

But there’s more to it than that, as Mavuika seems to be hiding the true Pyro Archon or Pyro Sovereign, and Fatui Harbinger, known in the game as Capitano, has also taken an interest in Warring States. The exact ending of these stories will be gradually revealed in the next few patches, so you can wait and see.

In addition to the main story content, this new country also adds several side quests for you to explore. During this update, you can also participate in some limited-time events, such as celebrating the fourth anniversary of Genshin Impact, where you can get a variety of rewards, including some upcoming character and weapons banners.

The above is some information about Genshin Impact 5.0. I hope you can have fun with the new country, new main and side quests and limited-time events, and look forward to more new content from Natlan.
