Source: IGGMLately, a lot of players have seen the abundance of Transmute Crystals I have and wondered how I got them and how I used them. Here I will tell players my detailed guide to get Transmute Crystals and turn them into gold again.
What Are Transformation Crystals
In Elder Scrolls Online, Transmute Crystals allow you to transform and rebuild gear. In other words, if you’re a regular ESO player, you can completely change your item trading by using Transmute Crystals at Transmute Stations or you can just create items directly.
Then, you might think that Transmute Crystals are a rather desirable commodity. You might even go out of your way to participate in various ESO events for the sole purpose of finding Transmute Crystals, and maybe even events you don’t like, like PVP battles.
But if you feel like me, you don’t actually need to use Transmute Crystals for anything. And I also know of a neat way to get you a lot of them. I’ve gotten so many Transmute Crystals using this method that now they’re taking up precious inventory space in me.

Transform Transmute Crystals Into Nirnhoned Weapons
Did you know you can use Transmute Crystals to earn gold? It’s true, and it’s a very simple process. Let me tell you how to do it.
First, you need to make sure you’ve actually learned Nirnhoned trait for your weapon of choice. Then you need to go ahead and make some featureless weapons. Once you’ve crafted this weapon, you’ll need to head to the nearest conversion station to re-transform it into a Nirnhoned trait.
You can find Transformation Stations in Clockwork City and most Guild Halls. You can also get one for yourself by spending ESO Gold. But remember, don’t waste your Crowns on it. Fortunately, converting an item is not actually affected by Trait itself and the conversion station. Players can choose your favorite weapon crafting and re-transform into Nirnhoned weapons.
Exchanging Nirncrux For Gold
However, if you try to use this method, you may need to go through at least 50 conversions. As long as you have a Nirnhoned weapon, you can proceed to deconstruct that weapon at the appropriate transmutation site to obtain the powerful Nirncrux. It is also the most expensive Traitstone in the game.
You can usually get Nirncrux from farm nodes in Craglorn, and they rarely see this concept, plus Nirnhoned becomes a rather desirable trait to use in a lot of ESO content, which explains why it’s so expensive.
You can speed up the process by using the mass build and deconstruct features. Then in your trading guild, you can use them to get gold, in order to realize the complete process of converting Transmute Crystals to gold in the end. You can also try trading it in area chat or keep it for your own use should you ever find yourself needing to craft a Nirnhoned weapon.
That’s all for today. Hopefully, players can use it to find more Transmute Crystals and turn them into gold or trade them for whatever you want. I’ll also keep an eye out for other tips and hints in ESO to share with you. Hope you all have good luck.
