Source: IGGMToday I will bring you another Elden Ring weapon build guide. Here I will show you my level 150 Dark Moon Greatsword Build. In fact, this is an updated version of my previous build. I’ll be doing devastating damage to enemies by using better talismans and buffs.
Dark Moon Greatsword
Dark Moon Greatsword is a weapon that primarily relies on the scaling of Strength, Dexterity and Intelligence stats. By advancing Ranni’s Questline, we can find Dark Moon Greatsword just below that Cathedral of Manus Celes.
This weapon has a weapon skill called Moonlight Greatsword. While using this ability, you hold your sword aloft and bathe it in the light of Darkmoon. This quickly increases its magical attack power for a short period and fills your weapon with Frost for 60 seconds.
While Dark Moon Greatsword is in buff mode, you can unleash blasts of Moonlight with a heavy hit. This also does a lot of poise damage to enemies, especially if you get close enough to the target.
If you’re interested in this Dark Moon Greatsword build, or want to try a Frost Build, then you must not miss this guide. This guide will cover everything you need to know about this Dark Moon Greatsword build.
Buff & Protection
For buffs and protection, I like to use Golden Vow and Black Flame’s Protection. With Golden Vow, you can increase your damage by 15% for 80 seconds. And Black Flame's Protection can make you immune to physical damage received by 35%.
For seal, I recommend you use a basic seal, such as Finger Seal. Because usually different levels of seal have little effect on your Buffs. You can get it from Twin Maiden Husks in Roundtable Hold for 800 Elden Ring Runes. Just to note, you can also use the code “CSCCA” to help you get 5% off.
Talisman
Also, you can increase your own attack power by using some talisman. First, you can use Godfrey Icon to increase the attack power of charged spells and abilities by 15%. Next, you can also use Shard of Alexander to increase the skill attack power by 15%.
Another piece, Magic Scorpion Charm, also increases your magic damage by 12%, and your physical damage by 10%. Last but not least, Dagger Talisman increases your critical damage by 17%. This is useful against staggered enemies.
You can also boost your damage output by combining Crystal Tears. Using Opaline Hardtear temporarily increases all damage reduction by 15% for 3 minutes. Another piece, Magic-Shrouding Cracked Tear, temporarily increases your magic attack power to +20% for 3 minutes.
For armor, I like to wear Tree Sentinel Set to give my character excellent protection and increase my balance. So this level 150 build can meet the basic requirements of Dark Moon Greatsword and Black Flame’s Protection incantation.
Stats
In this build, I set 40 on Vigor, 28 on mind, 32 on endurance, 16 on Strength, 11 on Dexterity, 62 or more on Intelligence to increase my attack power, 30 on Faith for Black Flame’s Protection requirements, and no change in Arcane.
The way this build works is first you can combine Crystal Tears to boost stats. You can then cast Golden Vow and Black Flame’s Protection Incantation to enhance your character. Finally, you can infuse your weapon with Moonlight Greatsword, then unleash blasts of Moonlight with your heavy hits.
The above is the complete process of my 150-level Dark Moon Greatsword Build, as well as the required incantations and items. Hope this guide helps you create a Frost build that suits your play style.
