Source: IGGMToday, I'm excited to present a quick guide on defeating one of Elden Ring's formidable bosses, the Fire Giant. In this walkthrough, I'll provide you with a step-by-step guide and show you some tactics to overcome this challenging encounter and emerge victorious. So, let’s dive into how to conquer the Fire Giant!
Necessary Items
The first thing being a specific weapon. The best weapon we’re going to use is the Envoy's Long Horn. Find a way to get your hands on this valuable weapon. And once you do get it, max it out, obviously get it to +10, and then head up to the location of the Fire Giant, which is at the foot of the Forge of the Giants, basically to fight the boss. Having a large amount of Elden Ring Runes can greatly enhance your gaming experience and help you deal with monsters more easily.
Here’s something else that you may want to do. So, you want to head to the Site of Grace. You want to mix your wonders, and the physics that you’re going to want is the Cerulean Hidden Tear and the Magic-Shrouding Cracked Tear. These 2 Wondrous Physick are going to eliminate all FP consumption and temporarily boost your magic attacks.
Boss Fight
Once you have gathered all the necessary items and ensured your readiness for the encounter, it's time to head back to the location where you initially encountered the formidable Fire Giant. Upon reaching the designated area, position yourself in close proximity to the Fire Giant, utilizing Torrent to maneuver underneath him.
Phase 1
Once beneath him, unleash the L2 attack, which is the special attack of the Horn weapon being utilized. Ensure you hold down the attack button to release all the bubbles. Although the Fire Giant may exhibit erratic behavior and occasionally back away, this action will disrupt his stance, rendering him vulnerable to the onslaught of bubbles.
Witness the devastating damage inflicted by the Bubble Shower, rapidly weakening the Fire Giant and swiftly progressing towards phase 2 of the encounter. When battling the Fire Giant, you'll notice that he tends to move around a lot. If he retreats from you, simply reposition yourself using Torrent to get back beneath him. Then, resume spamming the bubbles to maintain pressure.
Phase 2
Once we've officially reached phase 2 of the encounter, it's time to take action. Activate your Wondrous Physick, unleashing their power, and prepare to unleash a relentless barrage of attacks without hesitation. The initial strike will stun him momentarily, granting you the opportunity to continuously bombard him with bubbles.
Even if he manages to land a hit during the onslaught, there's no need to panic. Keep spamming the bubbles relentlessly, maintaining your assault. And if, by chance, you happen to perish in the boss fight, don't be disheartened. It's not an insurmountable challenge. With persistence and determination, you'll eventually achieve success.
Final Thought
Although we may succumb to the Fire Giant's flames, we are managed to defeat the Fire Giant, earning a substantial reward of 518k runes. This method, utilizing the bubbles, proves to be one of the most effective approaches. The bubbles inflict considerable damage and have a crippling effect on the Fire Giant, as evident when he entered the second phase.
Despite his retaliatory strikes, remember that the surrounding fire poses the greatest threat. Stay vigilant and avoid succumbing to greed by tanking unnecessary hits. In summary, leverage the potency of this weapon to exploit the Fire Giant's vulnerabilities and emerge victorious in battle.
