Source: IGGMUsing very powerful Mimic Tear ashes, an Elden Ring gamer destroyed Malenia, Blade of Miquella. In Elden Ring, there are hundreds of bosses scattered throughout the vast open world for which Elden Ring has become famous. In the vast open world, you may encounter agile bosses like Black Knife Ringleader, and mighty dragons like Adula, Agheel, and Smarag. There are many bosses you can choose in Elden Ring, so you can fight them in the order that suits you.
Besides that, there is a unique mechanic at your disposal. That's when you want to get the upper hand in boss fights, then use spirit ashes. After using Spirit Caller Bell, you'll be able to summon a spirit to give you some help in your fights. In Elden Ring, there are many kinds of spirit ashes, including Lhutel The Headless, Lone Wolf, and Wandering Noble. However, the most famous spirit ashes are Black Knife Tiche and Mimic Tear. As one Reddit user discovered, the most challenging bosses in Elden Ring such as Malenia can be defeated by Mimic Tear.
On the social media platform, Reddit user Competitive-Front412 uploaded a video of their boss fighting Malenia, Blade of Miquella. Ironically, their gear made their characters look a lot like the dreaded Elden Ring boss. At the beginning of the fight, they summoned the Mimic Tear ash. Then, move to the outside of the battlefield to see what happens next. In the beginning, the spirit was fighting with Malenia and hit her many times with lightning attacks such as Fortissax's Lightning Spear and Ancient Dragons' Lightning Strike, but was quickly bounced back. However, there were two things that were very surprising. One was that Mimic Tear executed its own combo and could attack Malenia continuously, and the other was that Mimic Tear could escape Malenia's Waterfowl Dance attack.
Since Malenia couldn't recover and get a lot of momentum, she appeared helpless in the fight. After continuous melee and magic attacks against Malenia, Mimic Tear defeated the first phase effortlessly and triggered Malenia's Goddess of Rot phase. At this stage, at first Malenia fought back and caused some trouble for spirit ash. However, this was only done for a short period of time. Later, Mimic Tear regains control of the fight by performing combo moves and using devastating lightning attacks. At this moment, I believe you have already expected the outcome of the fight. In the end, as the mighty Malenia couldn't stand against the highly suppressed spirit ash, she was killed after two minutes.
In Elden Ring, other spirit ashes consume FP. However, Mimic Tear is not the same as those spirit ashes, it devours 660 HP. After you deploy it, Mimic Tears will generate the same equipment as you, including armor, amulets, consumables, spells and weapons. However, it won't use the items or Great Runes in the pouch.
