Source: IGGMHello everyone, and welcome back to my Elden Ring build guide. In this guide, I’ll be showing you my Maliketh’s Black Blade build, focusing on using Destined Death skill.
Overview
Maliketh’s Black Blade is a Colossal Swords that mainly relies on data scaling such as Strength, Dexterity and Faith. With Destined Death skill, you can dig Colossal Swords into the ground and summon myriads of blades.
This attack drains the enemy’s health over a short period and reduces their maximum health by 10% for 45 seconds. This skill is very effective against enemies with weak holy damage.
However, the weapon is rather slow, heavy, and drains stamina. Therefore, it is highly recommended to use amulets that can increase the maximum equipment load, such as Great-Jar’s Arsenal and Green Turtle Talisman, to increase the speed of stamina recovery.
In addition, FP consumption of this weapon skill is also very high. What I like about this weapon. This is a splendid weapon to enhance strength faith builds. Even normal attacks can deal a lot of poise damage, so you can easily break enemy stance with it.
Destined Death skill can also attack enemies around you. This makes it a very effective Crowd Control skill.
If you’re looking for a powerful strength faith build, or are interested in this Maliketh’s Black Blade play style, then you can’t miss this guide. This guide will cover everything you need to know about Maliketh’s Black Blade build. Without further ado, let’s get started.
Maliketh’s Black Blade
First, Maliketh’s Black Blade can be obtained by trading Remembrance of Black Blade with Enia at Roundtable Hold.
Buff And Protection
For buff and protection, Golden Vow and Black Flame’s Protection are your best bet. With Golden Vow, you increase damage to +15% and negate all damage to +10% for 80 seconds. The other is Black Flame’s Protection, which increases your physical damage negation by 35%.
Seal
For Seal, the most basic Finger Seal is completely sufficient for this build. It is usually the starting device for Confessor and Prophet classes. Of course, if you don’t play these two classes, you can also choose to buy it at Twin Maiden Husks for only 800 Elden Ring Runes.
Talisman
In addition, we can also use some talisman to increase our attack power. As we mentioned before, with Great-Jar’s Arsenal you can increase your maximum equipment load-out by 19%.
Next, using Shard of Alexander can increase the attack power of Destined Death skill by 15%. Paired with Dragoncrest Greatshield Talisman, it can reduce the physical damage we receive by 20%.
Last but not least, with Green Turtle Talisman, you can increase your stamina regeneration rate by 8 points per second.
Crystal Tears
You can also use Crystal Tears in combination to boost your status for a short period. Using Opaline Hardtear temporarily increases all damage offset by 15% for 3 minutes. Using Holy-Shrouding Cracked Tear can temporarily increase your Holy damage to +20% for 3 minutes.
Armor
For armor, Tree Sentinel Set can provide our character with excellent protection and enhance our poise damage.
Stats
At present, this equipment can meet the basic requirements of Maliketh’s Black Blade weapon and Black Flame’s Protection. And I put most of the attributes on strength to increase our physical attack power. And if you want to increase the attack power of Destined Death skill, you can also put more attributes on Faith. So in this build I set the stats respectively to:
- Vigor 40
- Mind 26
- Endurance 35
- Strength 66
- Dexterity 12
- Intelligence 10
- Faith 30
- Arcane 10
Showcase
The way this build works is first you get a quick stat boost by using Crystal Tears, then casting Golden Vow and Black Flame’s Protection to buff your character. After that, you can start attacking enemies and use Destined Death to attack surrounding enemies.
