Elden Ring is a popular open-world RPG where you explore a large area and control Tarnished to help you complete certain quests or battles. The same is true for the popular Shadow of the Erdtree DLC.

In many previous weapon or combat guides, you will notice that there are many churches. Realm of Shadow in the DLC also adds many new churches. These landmarks are not only important in terms of lore, but you can also get some items from them that are very helpful in your battles or leveling up.

Church Of Benediction

To reach Church of Benediction, you need to go to Belurat Tower Settlement. Then locate Main Gate Cross Site of Grace nearby and use your Spectral Steed to ride southeast quickly along the path on the mountainside. You will soon reach Cliffroad Terminus Site of Grace, next to Prospect Town.

You can leave it here and continue southeast. After you pass a lot of Bloodfiends, you will reach the end of the road. Don’t be confused, just turn around and face south. You will see a wall with a path under the wall. Follow this wall and you will reach a small hole in the mountain. At this time, please prepare your weapons, because there will be a Curseblade enemy waiting to attack you here.

For this battle, you can use ranged weapons and try to stay away from it, because it will burst a lot of melees damage. After the battle, squat down to pick up Elden Ring Runes, it dropped. When it dies, you can see the outer wall of Church of Benediction.

Church Of Consolation

When you enter Gravesite Plain, you will come across a Site of Grace, Scorched Ruins Site of Grace, which can be found by heading northwest from your starting location.

From Scorched Ruins Site of Grace, ride your Torrent south. It is important to keep to the main path as there are many side roads and you may get lost. You will pass some Shadow enemies and Rotten Stray Dogs along the way. If you have enough time, you can fight them to get more XP and rewards.

At the end of this road, you will find Church of Consolation. In addition, you will see many Messmer Soldiers and a Black Knight, which are the principal enemies in this area. In addition, Blessing of Marika is not far from this church. It is at the edge of this area. You can go and look for it.

If you feel that there are too many enemies or it is difficult to fight during the battle, you can summon the remaining Spirit Ashes to fight alongside you.

Church Of Crusade

To reach Church of Crusade, you will once again need to start from Gravesite Plain. However, instead of heading northwest, you will head northeast and eventually you will reach Castle Front Site of Grace. This is also the entrance to Legacy Dungeon, called Castle Ensis.

Once inside Castle Ensis and have explored it a bit, you will need to head to Castle Lord’s Chamber. In this room, you will have a direct confrontation with Twin Moon Knight Rellana. Once you have successfully defeated her, continue in your northeast direction and you will reach Scadu Altus.

In this area, at Highroad Cross Site of Grace, head northwest up the hills that are far away from you. There you will encounter some patrolling Messmer Soldiers, which you can easily take care of. Then follow this road until you reach the entrance to Church of Crusade.

In Church of Crusade, you will encounter Fire Knight Queelign. After fighting and defeating him, he will give you Prayer Room Key and Ash of War Flame Skewer. You can use this key to open Church District in Shadow Keep and interact with the physical form of Fire Knight Queelign NPC.

Abandoned Church

The location of Abandoned Church is quite unique. You need to go down to Abyssal Woods first. Starting from Shadow Keep Main Gate, you will see a courtyard with a Fire Knight and multiple Shadow Militiamen. Go through it. There is a bridge around the courtyard. There is a ladder on the left side of it. You need to go down the ladder, cross a waterfall, and interact with another ladder.

You will enter a room with a painting and an illusionary wall on your right. You need to go through this wall and interact with the coffin at the end to teleport to Castle Watering Hole. From Site of Grace here, walk southeast to reach Recluses River. At this time, you need to enter the water and walk downstream until you reach Downstream Site of Grace.

In Downstream Site of Grace, there are a number of slabs on the side of the wall that you can use to make your way southeast. This path leads to Darklight Catacombs, one of the larger catacombs in Shadow of the Erdtree, with multiple floors and a lot of loot. At the end of these Catacombs, you will fight Elder Inquisitor Jori.

After you successfully kill him, you will receive Barbed Staff-Spear and some Elden Ring Runes, and in front of you is the entrance to Abyssal Woods. When you enter Abyssal Woods, it means that you cannot use Spectral Steed, as it is very afraid of the environment. You must explore this area on foot alone.

You need to continue along the path next to the entrance heading south until you reach Site of Grace. You will find many NPCs you can interact with along the way, you can stop and talk to them, or you can come back to talk to them after you complete the main quest.

Once you reach Site of Grace, don’t stop for too long, just continue south. If you see some madness-driven sheep, you don’t need to hurt them because they don’t mean any harm to you. But you will be attacked by Madding Hand in this area, so be careful.

After the battle, you will get a weapon - Madding Hand as your reward. Continue walking along the same road. You will reach Abandoned Church, and there is also a Site of Grace where you can interact with NPCs, where you can get some XP you need.
