Source: IGGMToday we’re going to review my Bloody Afflictionist, a level 150 build. It uses Blood and Poison to build very interesting Status Effects. Combine that with its Talismans buff, and the build’s damage buff is a massive boost. If you want to try out a Dex Arcane build, then this build guide is for you.
How It Works?
Let’s see how this build works. First you’ll use your shield to trigger Status Effects, then all your Talismans will slowly fade away. But you can use Vulgar Militia Saw because this weapon is phenomenal. This weapon can easily cause blood loss and activate another Talisman.
So we’re snowballing, activating our amulets, getting more attack damage, doing more damage. The most Status Effects you can trigger in this build are Blood and Poison. While Poison isn’t great at killing enemies, it does a good job of motivating our Talismans.
Talismans
So, before we talk about anything else, let’s start with Talismans. First, we’ll be using Kindred of Rot’s Exultation in Talismans slot. This gives us a 20 damage boost as long as a Scarlet Rot or Poison is nearby for 20 seconds. So while this buff doesn’t last very long, it makes an enormous difference to the build we’re currently using.
The second Talismans we’ll be using is Winged Sword Insignia. Now this character does not have Rotten Winged Sword Insignia on him. But you definitely want to use it in place of this if you have one.
But Winged Sword Insignia can increase our attack power with our continuous attack. And it also stacks with one of our Flasks later to give you a 10 attack power boost so you can deal more damage. So, our attack power boost will be pretty substantial.
Our next pick is Lord of Blood’s Exultation. This will increase your attack power by 20. It also stacks with Winged Sword Insignia.
Flasks
We’ll be using two specific tiers here. The first being Greenburst Crystal Tear tier, which will temporarily increase our Stamina recovery speed. It will give us 15 points of Stamina every second for three minutes. And in this build, it sure lasts the entire boss fight.
The next tier we’ll be using is Thorny Cracked Tear here, which will improve your streak. So when you attack three times in a row. It will increase your attack power by 20, which means more damage to enemies.
Armors
Now, for our armor, we’ll use everything with a full aesthetic. I used Black Hood, Leather Armor, Twinned Gauntlets and Scaled Greaves.
This is purely for aesthetics. Of course, you can also choose to take advantage of Elden Ring Runes to get other armor and gear from Merchants. Luckily, you can also use code “CSCCA” to get 5% off.

Weapons
For weapons, the first thing I want to talk about is Vulgar Militia Saw. It’s a powerful weapon with Strike scaling at C-tier, Deck scaling at B-tier, and Arcane scaling at D-tier, and its blood loss is as high as 118.
Now I put Sword Dance on it so I can get the blood loss ramped up for a short amount of time, which is very useful. I really like this weapon, and not just because it’s a nice weapon. What’s more, the attack mode of this weapon is really fun and easy to play.
Because it is horizontal slashes instead of vertical slashes. I’ve found that vertical slashes on weapons are easier to miss than horizontal slashes are less likely to miss. You can hit multiple targets at once, which makes using this weapon easy to pick up.
Item Locations
So for now I’m going to tell you where to get everything for this build. Foremost, Vulgar Militia Saw can be bred from Vulgar Militia, located in Caelid on the map. We can find black Hood and Leather Armor in Treasure Chest inside Sage’s Cave. If you kill monsters in Murkwater Cave in Limgrave, you can find Twinned Gauntlets.
Talismans will drop in Seethewater Cave. Winged Sword Insignia will drop in Liurnia of The Lakes inside Stillwater Cave. Lord of Blood’s Exultation is located in Leyndell Catacombs.
Finally, Thorny Cracked Tear here drops from Erdtree Avatar in Consecrated Snowfield. Greenburst Crystal Tear also drops from Erdtree Avatar east of Smoldering Church.

That concludes my detailed guide to build Bloody Afflictionist. Include the weapons and items needed for this build and their locations. Hope this guide helps you understand more about how this build works. Hope you enjoy the game and I’ll see you guys in the next game.
