Elden Ring: What Preparations Do You Need To Make Before Defeating The Main Boss?

Source: IGGMEven though Elden Ring has been out for a year now, I’m still wondering, how strong do you need to be in Elden Ring before you can fight the main boss?
Before doing that, I need to clarify the definition of a main boss. So, of course, Elden Ring Boss is a formidable foe that adds to the challenging experience of the game. We encounter bosses throughout the game, both in the world and in traditional dungeon-style levels. While we must fight some to progress through the story, most are optional.
Bosses like Tree Sentinels you meet in Limgrave and the random boss you meet in a cave are optional bosses because they don’t need to be fought to advance the story.
However, the main boss is somewhat mandatory in order for the player to progress through the story. Bosses like Margit, Red Wolf of Radagon, Radahn, and Godskin Noble count as main bosses, although they can technically be defeated very early on. So what do you need to do to prepare before meeting them? Let’s start by gathering some basic items.
Essential Items
From the first Site of Grace, head to the nearby church while ignoring Tree Sentinels. In the church, there will be a merchant named Kale trading a very important item, which is crafting tools.
Now you head north through the small forest until you find Site of Grace. Here you will meet Melina who will give you Torrent, just equip it. In the ruins in front of the door, there is a chest containing a Whetstone Knife that will allow you to modify the weapon’s Ash of War.
Return to Kale at night and you’ll meet Ranni, who will give you the ability to summon Spirit Ashes. Heading northeast from Site of Grace, you’ll eventually stumble upon Third Church of Marika, where you’ll find Flask of Wondrous Physick and Sacred Tear.
Normal Weapon Upgrades
The three factors that determine how powerful your character is are rune level, gears, and weapon upgrades. The focus here will be on weapon upgrades, since gear can be flexibly chosen. But everyone has their own taste in what they think their favorite gear is, and rune levels can also be earned by simply playing the game.
Let’s get started now. There are two types of weapons in Elden Ring: normal weapons and special weapons. For normal weapons, you can easily collect Smithing Stones.
The first Smithing Stones are in Raya Lucaria Crystal Tunnel, reached from the cliff next to Site of Grace facing the lake. Eventually you’ll stumble across a Site of Grace, get the checkpoint and head northwest to the ruins.
There’s actually a quest item and a Faith Talisman hidden in one of the ruins, so loot it while you’re there.
After leaving the crypt, you can enter Bellum Church and get a checkpoint. Go straight south from Site of Grace and you will find a Walking Mausoleum.
Finally, enter Crystal Tunnel. Remember, this is a mid-game area, so don’t bother with anything. Dash through this area, and you’ll eventually find that Boss Fog Gate. The owner who lives there is Crystallian.
The reward for this battle is Smithing-Stone Miner’s Bell Bearing. Now you have unlimited Smithing Stones, but we need some Elden Ring Runes. Don’t worry though, as you can also use the code “CSCCA” to get 5% off.
Easy Runs
Quickly go back to Lenne’s Rise Site of Grace, where we can rest, and wait until evening, which will allow Night’s Cavalry to spawn. You can use your bow and try to lead Night’s Cavalry towards you.
When it finally notices, you can go to the left side of the bridge and stand on top of that rock. When Night’s Cavalry reaches your location, it may perform a jump attack and fall to its death. As long as Great Enemy Felled logo appears, you’ve successfully defeated it. Now you can carefully restore your runes.
We’ve got +12 weapons, but can we go further? Be aware that anything other than this will require you to progress through the game or take advantage of some glitches. So since there are no ordinary weapons, what about special weapons?

Somber Weapon Upgrades
Somber Smithing Stones are an upgrade material exclusively for unique weapons in Elden Ring. These are different from normal Smithing Stones and can be used to upgrade special weapons.
Ordinary Smithing Stones consume a lot of resources, but Somber Weapon only needs one Somber Smithing Stone, which is much easier to collect.
You need to make a quick trip to Road to The Manor Site of Grace, which is next to Smithing Master Iji. You can trade Somber Smithing Stone with him.
Ultimate
The above is what we need to do to prepare for the main boss in Elden Ring. Hopefully, these methods will help you defeat these bosses more easily. Good luck.
