The player then goes to the quick menu and selects the Balled-Up emote, causing himself to crouch down and ball up. Because they're so low to the ground, when Malenia begins her iconic combo of quick strikes and slashes on the player, they'll go right over the player without doing any damage to the player.

Now, it's not a perfect way to beat Malenia. Some people think that during Malenia's first phase, this emote does allow you to dodge most of her attacks. However, for other attacks, especially in Malenia's second phase, you'll find that curling up in the fetal position and can't cut like her blades. The sad part is that you can't just use crying, but use different tactics. If you want to bully Malenia, you can use the co-op feature in Elden Ring. However, it's also still an interesting way to avoid most of Malenia's attacks of blades.
