Source: IGGMSports fans! The highly anticipated EA FC 25 is set to be released on September 27th. The new game features an exciting new mode - Rush mode. It changes the traditional football game with a high-energy 5v5 format. This mode places great emphasis on fast-paced action and strategic flexibility in the field, providing players with a brand new way to play football video games. Whether you are building your Ultimate Team or leading your team to Manager Career Championship, Rush will bring you a lot of new game experience.
This guide will give you an introduction to this new mode in FC 25, so that you can familiarize yourself with it before entering the game and make full use of it in the game. Without further ado, please prepare your FC 25 Coins to experience Rush mode!
General Features
In EA Sports FC 25’s Rush mode, your team is composed of 5 players, 4 of which are outfield players controlled by you, and the remaining one is an AI-controlled goalkeeper. This setting can be used in various modes in the game, including but not limited to Ultimate Team Rush, Clubs Rush and Manager Career Youth Academy Tournament.
It is important to note that if you are disconnected in the middle of a game or actively quit the game, the AI will seamlessly take over your players to ensure that the game can continue. Although in most online ball games, goalkeepers are controlled by AI, they are more or less strategically guided by the captain of the current team.
The captain can issue commands to sprint or adjust positions, which adds a layer of tactical depth. However, in Kick-Off Rush and Manager Career Rush, you have full control over all players of the entire team, including the goalkeeper, which is more conducive to learning tactics and strategies.
Unique Features
Race To Ball
The most prominent feature in Rush mode is Race to Ball at the beginning of each game. Two football launchers located on the center line will randomly launch a ball at different speeds and heights, and then the subsequent game will start based on this ball.
Race to Ball adds some unpredictable excitement to the game and also reduces determining the starting position. The most important thing is that when you control the players to get the key first possession of the ball, you will have an extraordinary sense of excitement and satisfaction.
Fluid Positioning
As mentioned earlier, Rush focuses on flexibility, which is mainly reflected because it allows you to position flexibly and smoothly, rather than fixed player positions. You can dynamically switch the positions and battles between the five players throughout the game, which is very helpful for you to cultivate strategic thinking and teamwork spirit.
Of course, when the game is suspended, you can choose whether to rearrange the positions based on the last positions of these players, and then you need to communicate and coordinate continuously.
Pitch Dimensions
Since it is a 5V5 game, the number of people has decreased, and the size of the field will also become smaller. It is currently understood that the field size in Rush mode is 63.7 x 46.6 meters, which is about 41.5% of a normal football field.
This smaller square field is very suitable for lateral ball transfer, which is also a side exercise for your ball skills. Although the field has become smaller, the width remains unchanged as a whole, because it is necessary to avoid a crowded game experience.
In addition, key areas such as the penalty area and midfield area are proportionally reduced, allowing you to feel more realistically that it is no different from a normal stadium.
Match Length And Tie-Breaking
In Rush mode, the match is a 7-minute match with no halftime break, unless the ball goes out of bounds. If the score is tied after the 7-minute countdown, a 2-minute 20-second Golden Goal Extra Time will be entered.
If the score is still tied in this case, a 1-on-1 Penalty Shootout will be conducted. If you or your opponent is about to shoot when the countdown ends, don’t worry, because there is a Buzzer Beater rule and the game can continue.
Offside And Blue Card
Rush mode introduces a modified offside rule from current football games - a dotted line is used to mark the offside area in each offensive zone. This adjustment reduces the congestion of the entire stadium and maintains the smoothness of the game.
In addition, Rush mode will use Blue Card for serious offenders and ban them for 1 minute. If two Yellow Cards have been received during the game, they will also face the same punishment as Blue Cards. AI-controlled goalkeepers are not subject to these penalties.
No Substitutions
In Rush mode, there are no substitutions, which means you need to keep an eye on each player’s stamina. This will help you keep the game fast-paced and reduce interruptions.
However, Offline Modes like Kickoff and Manager Career allow you to adjust your starting lineup before the match. Once selected, it cannot be changed, so be sure to think twice before selecting players. Alternatively, you can use some FC 25 Coins to upgrade some players so that they are always in the starting lineup.
Ping System
Ping System in Rush mode provides a visual way to signal your intentions to your teammates. By flicking the right stick, you can send arrows to indicate their desired actions, thereby improving coordination and tactical decision-making in the game.
The above is some information about the Rush mode that you will experience in FC 25, which will be officially launched on September 27. I hope you can use this new mode to learn more about the skills and strategies in the field and lead your team to win more victories.
