Source: IGGMIt has been almost two months since the release of Diablo 4 Season 6 and DLC Vessel of Hatred. If you have experienced them or paid attention to the relevant news, you will know that both works have received a lot of praise during the release period.
However, as time goes by, Season 7 is not far away from you. In order to make you better adapt to the next season and fix some deficiencies in Season 6 and DLC, the game developer announced through a recent campfire chat that Diablo 4 2.1 PTR will be opened on December 3. In this way, relevant data and feedback can be collected to ensure the balance, functionality and suitability of the new content.
Among all the known updates of 2.1 PTR, the changes of the new class Spiritborn are undoubtedly the most eye-catching. As a new class launched in Vessel of Hatred, it has always shown stronger performance than other classes. Although this allows players who play Spiritborn to no longer need to obtain some additional weapons, effectively saving Diablo 4 Gold, it destroys the balance of the game.
With that in mind, we’ll take a look at the overall changes coming to 2.1 PTR, with an emphasis on Spiritborn’s various tweaks.
2.1 PTR Overview
While Season 6 brought some welcome additions, the game’s developers say Season 7 will once again pack a ton of new content. The next season is expected to launch in January 2025, and in a campfire chat, the game’s producers revealed much of what you can expect in the new year, and a detailed description of the newly released PTR patch.
New Features And Highlights
The 2.1 PTR will be available from December 3 to December 10, 2024. Major highlights include the new Armory - an area in town where you can save or swap character builds with other players.
The second new addition is Witchcraft powers, including Eldritch, Psyche, and Growth and Decay. Also coming soon is the dreaded Headrotten, a new enemy available to you in Headhunt sub-area. Moreover, thanks to 2.1 PTR, Diablo 4 will later feature weaponized amphibians that you can summon using Witchcraft.
In addition, if you defeat Headrotten boss in 2.1 PTR, you will get new insertable Occult gems, new runes, many legendary aspects, and new unique items that all classes can use.
Promote Communication Between Players And Officials
In fact, if you and more other players participate in the experience of 2.1 PTR and are willing to submit relevant feedback, it will be beneficial for the official construction of the seventh season of the game, and you will get a better experience in the next season. Based on this, you can share your views through the in-game feedback tool or visit Diablo 4 PTR forum.

With Season 6 coming to an end on January 21, you will first get familiar with the new features of Season 7 after participating in PTR. Although all elements of PTR are still under development and may change, it is certain that most of the fresh content will be waiting for you in the full version in early 2025.
Adjustments And Changes To Spiritborn
Since its launch, there have been feedbacks that Spiritborn, as a new class, has too much power. In response to this, the game developers first made preliminary adjustments in the mid-term update of Season 6, and said that they would further optimize in Season 7 to ensure the balance of the game.
Therefore, 2.1 PTR is the pre-test content of Season 7, which naturally includes various changes to Spiritborn.
Skills Adjustments
Spiritborn can use many skills. In order to balance the abilities of this class, some of its available skills have been adjusted as follows:
- Enhanced Thunderspike: Vitality generation increased from 5 to 7.
- Accelerated Thunderspike: Vulnerability duration increased from 2 seconds to 3 seconds.
- Sharp Thrash: Ferocity gain increased from 1 to 2.
- Stinger: Damage increased from 70% to 77%.
- Enhanced Stinger: Damage increased from 50% of base damage to 60%.
- Concussive Stomp: Damage increased from 40% to 50%.
- Enhanced Concussive Stomp: Maximum barrier increased from 30% of maximum health to 40%.
- Invasive Payback: Cooldown reduced from 15 seconds to 8 seconds.
- Touch of Death: The group ignores invincible enemies.
- Razor Wings: Maximum active Razor Wings increased from 12 to 15.
Changes To Spirit Hall
As one of the important mechanisms available to Spiritborn, Spirit Hall has also received many changes. Take Centipede Primary Spirit Hall as an example. In the past, when you hit an enemy with Centipede skill, its damage would be reduced by 2.5%, and it would be slowed by 10% for 3 seconds, which could be stacked up to 8 times.
When you enter 2.1 PTR, hitting an enemy with Centipede will reduce its damage by 2%, slow it by 10%, and cause 70% poison damage in 6 seconds, which can be stacked up to 8 times. In addition, the delay before the rewards of Eagle Secondary Spirit Hall are reset has been increased from 2 seconds to 4 seconds.
In fact, the entire 2.1 PTR update content covers all aspects and is very rich. It is completely worth your experience. After all, this will also help you prepare for Season 7 in advance.
In addition, if you want to accumulate more game materials recently, you can enter IGGM Discord, where the eighth giveaway event for Diablo 4 Season 6 is being held.
