Farming Methods

Once you have passed all the experience and reached Torment 1, you can start farming Living Steel. Living Steel mainly drops when you run some endgame activities, such as Kurast Undercity or Nightmare Dungeons exclusive to Season 6.

Of course, you may find that the drop rate of Living Steel in these dungeons is too low after your first run. If you don’t want to participate in the more tough challenges, you can only grind in these two dungeons multiple times to increase the probability of Living Steel dropping.

Or you can also find Living Steel in Tortured Gifts that appear in Helltide events, where the chance will be slightly higher. Once you’ve completed the main campaign, Helltides will appear on the map, and you can join them through a portal and defeat some enemies with a powerful build enhanced by Diablo 4 Gold.

After you defeat all the enemies and complete the events, you’ll earn the special currency in Helltides called Aberrant Cinders. You’ll need to use it to open Helltides Chests that may contain Living Steel, but don’t be sad if you don’t have the summoning material you want, because some of the powerful items in them are also very valuable and can be used to enhance your build and character.

If you want to do a targeted farming of Living Steel, you can use 250 Aberrant Cinders to get Tortured Gifts, which have a greatly increased drop rate of this summoning material, and you can even get 14 Living Steel at once, while other Helltides Chests can only give you 1-2 at most!

Usage

Living Steel is used to summon Tormented Grigoire. You need to take these summoning materials to Hall of the Penitent in any Torment difficulties and find a summoning altar there. It costs 12 Living Steel each time you summon Tormented Grigoire, and this cost does not increase with the increase of Torment difficulties. After you place the summoning materials, this Uber Boss will appear.
