Source: IGGMIn Diablo 4, when you use your favorite character class to face some enemies, it is actually a test of your construction skills. For Necromancers, its advantage is that it can use Minions to attack the enemy in a large range, but the disadvantage is also obvious-very close to the enemy’s attack range.
At this time, Bone Prison skill of Necromancers can temporarily prevent the enemy from continuing to attack, and even impose harmful status effects on the enemies trapped in it. Therefore, it is very necessary to strengthen Bone Prison skill.
In Season 5, many Uniques have been added, among which Path of Trag’Oul Unique boots are very suitable for Necromancers to upgrade Bone Prison skill. This guide will introduce you to how to obtain Path of Trag’Oul in this season and what effects it has.
Common Method
One way to get these Unique items in Season 5 of Infernal Hordes is to get them in Spoils of Equipment chests after running and completing Infernal Hordes activity. If you haven’t unlocked Infernal Hordes yet, you’ll need to complete a Diablo 4 seasonal questline called The Eyes of the Enemy.
After you complete the questline, you’ll receive your first Infernal Compass, which is your key to Infernal Hordes. Different levels of Infernal Hordes require different levels of Infernal Compass, which can be found in some Nightmare Dungeons or The Pits, but only up to Tier 3.
Higher levels of Infernal Compass require you to upgrade them using Abyssal Scrolls. In Infernal Hordes, you can drop some Burning Aether after defeating a certain number of enemies, which triggers Aetheric Events. You will face stronger enemies and drop more Burning Aether. After you defeat Fell Council, you can redeem Burning Aether for some Spoils of Equipment or Spoils of Greater Equipment chests.
Spoils of Greater Equipment chests that require more Burning Aether have a much higher chance of containing Path of Trag’Oul. So run as many high-level Aetheric Events as possible to get more Burning Aether.
Best Method
If running Infernal Hordes activity is too much work, you can directly challenge enemies in World Tier 3 or World Tier 4 and get Path of Trag’Oul from their loot. In addition, you can also increase your chances of getting this Unique by participating in endgame activities in World Bosses, Nightmare Dungeons, and Gathering Legions.
But of all the bosses, Echo of Varshan is the most cost-effective, because it not only gives you Path of Trag’Oul Unique but also gives you much more Diablo 4 Gold and XP than other activities. You can summon three different Echo of Varshan in Hall of Penitent in Dry Steppes. Here is how you can summon the three variants of Echo of Varshan.
To summon Echo of Varshan (World Tier 3), you need 2 Living Steel. You can get it after completing the endgame activities, or you can find some in Tortured Gifts of Living Steel in Helltides in exchange for Aberrant Cinders.
Living Steel is a summoning material that will be used frequently in the subsequent boss summoning process, so you can collect some in Helltides in case of emergency. If you want to summon Echo of Varshan (World Tier 4), you need 5 Living Steel. The loot dropped by bosses in different World Tiers will also be different, so when your build is strong enough and you have reached World Tier 4, you can challenge Echo of Varshan (World Tier 4) directly.
In this season, you will no longer need to reset the final boss dungeon to repeat the boss battle. This means that you will use summoning materials again immediately in the same dungeon. So for Tormented Echo of Varshan, you need 15 Living Steel and a Stygian Stone obtained after running The Pit to summon.
Although Tormented Echo of Varshan requires 3 times the summoning materials of the normal version, it is worth noting that it provides you with 5 times the rewards of the normal version, including Diablo 4 Gold! This is very cost-effective.
Unique Effect Of Path of Trag’Oul
When your Necromancer is equipped with Path of Trag’Oul, using Bone Prison skill will increase the range of your skill and fire 10-30 additional Bone Splinters at enemies trapped inside.
When these Bone Splinters hit an enemy, your Necromancer will gain 2 Maximum Essence for 10 seconds. In addition, you will gain 12.5%-18% additional movement speed, which is always effective. And you will no longer have to worry about your health in combat because your Armor has also increased by 1500-1750.
The most important thing is here! Your Bone Prison Cooldown will be reduced by 13%-17.5%, which means you can trap enemies more often and cause persistent status effects to them, and your combat will be faster.
That’s how to find Path of Trag’Oul Unique in Diablo 4 Season 5, and its effects. I hope you can win more with its help. If you have questions about other Uniques, you can ask in IGGM Discord.
You can also enter a raffle here for a chance to win crafting materials, including Torment Duriel Materials and Stygian Stones. The list of winners will be announced on August 26th. Good luck!
