Source: IGGMAre you desperate to craft and have the best gear in Diablo 4 Season 5 to reach level 100 as quickly as possible and be ready to take on Uber Bosses? If so, it is crucial to get enough Upgrade Material to use in Masterworking, which will help your gear upgrade to higher levels.
Farming Pit is definitely one of the most efficient ways to get enough Upgrade Material. Here, we will introduce the best way to farm Pit resources. It is not about pushing to the highest level, but about farming materials efficiently so that you can upgrade your gear in the fastest way.
Farming Goals
The first materials we are going to farm are Obducide, Ingolith, and Neathiron. Obducite can be farmed from tier 1 to 30, Ingolith can be farmed from tier 31 to 60, and Neathiron can be farmed from tier 61 to 200.
However, please note that your goal is not to farm higher tiers of Pit, nor to kill every monster in every corner, nor to spend 10 to 15 minutes or even longer grinding a Pit, but to grind Pit as quickly as possible, within 3 to 5 minutes, to maximize your rewards.
No matter what class you play, if you are just a little slow, that’s totally fine, but if you can finish it in 3 to 2 minutes, then you are a pro player! However, to be invincible in Pit dungeons like a pro player, spending Diablo 4 Gold to get some better equipment is essential.
Choose The Right Tier Of Pit Grinding
Now, before we start talking about how to farm Pit efficiently, it is recommended that you push your Pit to at least Tier 61. Because starting from Tier 61, completing each run will reward you with Neathiron, which is the highest level of Crafting Materials used in Masterworking from level 8 to level 12.
Of course, if you don't plan to upgrade your gear to level 8 and above, or you don't need Neathiron at your current stage, you can always visit the Alchemist in town, select the 3rd tab, Transmutation, and then select Crafting Materials to exchange them for lower-tier materials.
From here you can see that Alchemist can provide you with a service. You can downgrade materials from 1 Neathiron to 3 Ingolith, and 1 Ingolith to 3 Obducite, so never worry about getting too much Neathiron.
If you are just starting to grind Pit, from 1 to 30 tiers will reward you Obducite, and you can upgrade all your gear to at least level 4 by spending these materials on Masterworking.
Although this does not guarantee that your gear is perfect, you need to do this to make your character more powerful so that you can advance to higher tiers.
When you reach 31 tier, it will start to reward you Ingolith until 60 tier. Then you can do the same thing and spend materials on Masterworking to upgrade all your gear to at least level 8, even if your gear isn’t perfect yet.
As we mentioned before, you need to be at least tier 61 for Neathiron to drop. Farming 20 Neathiron at tier 61 is better than farming 49 Ingolith at tier 60 and 39 Obducite at tier 30. Because you can trade 20 Neathiron for 60 Ingolith and 60 Ingolith for 180 Obducite.
From here, you can clearly see that farming 1 round of tier 61 is better than farming 1.2 rounds of tier 60 and 4.6 rounds of tier 30. Of course, the premise is that you’d better be able to easily complete tier 61 in 3 to 5 minutes, otherwise, you may need to reconsider lowering your tier.
Best Strategy For Farming Pit
So, how to farm Pit efficiently and maximize your rewards? As we said before, the key is to farm at least tier 61, and it must be done within 3 to 5 minutes. If you can finish tier 61 Pit quickly, keep going up a tier slowly until you think you can’t do it.
For example, if you can’t finish tier 80 in 3 to 5 minutes, lower your tier by about 1 to 2, and then farm on a tier that you can complete smoothly in 3 to 5 minutes.
For Upgrade Material farming, below tier 100 or tier 80 is a very good number. Please always remember that you need to farm more materials in the shortest time, not spend more time to farm less materials. So you don’t need to farm at tier 100 and above, unless your character is fast enough to clear all monsters and elites in Pit with 1 to 2 smashes.
Following this method, you can farm Pit very efficiently in 3 to 5 minutes. Repeat these steps and farm as much as you can, and you can get a lot of Neathiron.
Equip Movement Speed Affix
You will never have enough Neathiron, because you will use it from time to time to make your equipment, especially when you find new and better equipment.
In addition, to improve the efficiency of running Pit dungeon, get Boots or Amulets with increased Movement Speed Affix. Because the higher Movement Speed, the faster you run, it can reduce your travel time and also help you avoid being hit to a large extent.
The above is a complete guide on how to efficiently farm Upgrade Material required for Masterworking in Pit. I hope this guide can help you. If you have other farming methods, you might as well join IGGM Discord and share them. I believe many players need them.
In addition, we currently have a giveaway event that you can pay attention to. As long as you participate, you may get some Diablo 4 Gold, Stygian Stones or Duriel materials as rewards. The last results of this lottery will be announced on August 19. I wish you all the best and happy farming and hunting.
