Source: IGGMDiablo 4’s Season of the Infernal Hordes saw a significant increase in Uniques, which became core equipment for multiple versions. The best way to obtain these unique items is by challenging pinnacle bosses, which have extremely high combat effectiveness. Each boss has a specific loot list that makes it easy to obtain the unique items you need.
However, in order to challenge bosses to obtain Uniques, you need to collect summoning materials first. Each boss requires several summoning materials to fight, many of which are related to repeatable endgame activities. In this guide, we will show you how to obtain these summoning materials.
Use Of Summoning Materials
Before players can fight pinnacle bosses, they must have summoning materials. Pinnacle bosses are the major way to obtain Mythic Uniques, and players can obtain items like Harlequin Crest or Tyrael’s Might by defeating these bosses. Pinnacle bosses are divided into two challenge modes: Normal and Tormented.
Normal bosses offer a kill bonus and a 1.5% chance of dropping a Mythic Unique. Tormented requires three times as much material, but offers a five kill bonus. Tormented offers five chances to get a Mythic Unique, so you have about a 7% chance of getting one.
But you have to make sure you have enough Diablo 4 Gold to upgrade your gear and items so that you can withstand the difficulty of Tormented. You can also follow Giveaway channel in IGGM discord. On August 19, 100 Duriel materials, 100 Stygian stones and 10,000M gold coins will be given away for free to lucky players. Be active in discord group and don’t miss the event start time.
Stygian Stones
Stygian Stones are a rare resource mainly obtained by participating in Infernal Hordes activities. Players have a certain chance to find them when opening resource boxes in Tiers 7 and 8, although it is not frequent. Each event can get about two Stygian Stones or more. Stygian Stones are required to summon all Tormented variants of all pinnacle bosses in the game.
Exquisite Blood
Blood Maiden in Helltide has a high chance of dropping one bottle of Exquisite Blood or more. The player needs to use three Baneful Hearts on the altar to summon Blood Maiden, which are usually marked as Whisper objectives on the map. In addition, World Events have a smaller chance of dropping Exquisite Blood.
To summon the very popular Tormented Lor Zir, you need to collect 27 Exquisite Blood. Defeating it will reward you with Fractured Winterglass Unique, which is a Sorcerer-only piece of equipment. You can find the summoning altar for Lor Zir in Darkened Way dungeon in Fractured Peaks.
Distilled Fear
Players can get a Distilled Fear by completing Nightmare Dungeons at level T21+, or by chance from Treasure Goblins, but there is no surefire way to find Treasure Goblins.
Once you have 27 Distilled Fear, you can summon Tormented variant of Beast in the Ice in Glacial Fissure dungeon in Fractured Peaks, a short distance south of Kyovoshad. It is considered the most dangerous of the normal pinnacle bosses, so you’ll need to have a strong character build before you try to farm Beast in the Ice.
Living Steel
Living Steel is another unique that always drops from Tortured Gift chests in Helltide. A standard chest will contain one Living Steel. If you want more Living Steel, you can choose to spend 275 Aberrant Cinders to open Gift of Living Steel chest during Helltide, which will give you five Living Steel, which will spawn twice during each Helltide.
You need 27 Living Steel to summon Tormented Grigoire, which is located in Hall of the Penitent dungeon in Khejistan. Since Living Steel is so easy to obtain, Grigore can be said to be one of the most timesaving bosses. You can usually fight Tormented Grigoire three times after completing various quests in Helltide.
Malignant Heart
Malignant Hearts are mainly obtained through Whisper Caches, but the items dropped from the chest are always random, and may drop a heart, head, hand, or skeleton directly. Body parts can be exchanged for Malignant Hearts at Alchemist.
In addition, Malignant Hearts can be obtained from Elite enemies that appear in Helltide and World Boss fights. Tormented Varshan is found in Malignant Burrow next to Tree of Whispers in Hawezar and can be summoned for just 15 Malignant Hearts.
Pincushioned Dolls
Andariel is one of the toughest pinnacle bosses in Diablo 4 and is found in Hanged Man’s Hall. To summon Tormented Andariel, players will need six Pincushioned Dolls. Defeating Beast in the Ice on Normal difficulty will reward one doll, while defeating it on Tormented will reward five.
Sandscorched Shackles
Defeating Lord ZIr on Normal difficulty will reward one Shackle, while defeating it on Tormented will drop five. Therefore, players should farm Tormented Lord ZIr. Similarly, summoning Andariel also requires Pincushioned Dolls. With Normal summon requiring only two Shackles, while Tormented variant requires six.
Shards Of Agony
Defeating Grigore in Standard difficulty will drop a Shard Of Agony, and in Tormented it will drop five. To summon the difficult pinnacle boss Duriel in Gaping Crevasse dungeon in Kehjistan, players need six stones and six Mucus-Slick Eggs.
Mucus-Slick Egg
In Normal difficulty, defeating Varshan will drop one Mucus-Slick Egg. Two are required to summon Duriel. Five Mucus-Slick Eggs can be obtained in Tormented difficulty. Six Mucus-Slick Eggs are required to summon Duriel.
Through continuous challenges and exploration, players can continuously improve their strength and enjoy the rich and varied game content of Diablo 4.
