Source: IGGMIf you’re looking to upgrade your Rogue as soon as possible, then you’ll want Twisting Blades Rogue with Dual Imbuements. This build is fast-paced and perfect for any player who enjoys a high-intensity play style. Let’s start.
Skills
- Puncture: This is our basic skill. You need to use these Triple Throwing Knives to gain resources while also making enemies vulnerable.
- Twisting Blades: Our main core ability, it does insane damage but can be tricky to use. After using Twisting Blades, Blades will pierce the enemy for 1.5 seconds before returning to you.
- Dash: Used to move and guide our Twisting Blades to attack groups of enemies.
- Shadow Step: This teleports you to the enemy while also providing the ability to be unstoppable. This will get us out of some sticky situations.
- Poison Imbuement: When it comes to boss fights or tough elite enemies, Poison Imbuement is the best choice.
- Shadow Imbuement: This is our primary wave clearing ability.
Skill Tree
For our passive, we will invest 1 point in Fundamental Puncture to make the enemy vulnerable. Improved Twisting Blades 5 points provide a stun status effect. Siphoning Strikes 3 points for extra healing. Disciplined Shadow Step 1 point reduces cooldown.
Weapon Mastery 3 points for extra damage. Trick Attacks 1 point to knock down stunned enemies. Rapid Gambits 2 points reduce dodge cooldown. Exploits 3 points can deal more damage to healthy or injured enemies.
Finally, our key passives Close Quarters Combat Casting Puncture and Twisting Blades will give us 20% attack speed for 8 seconds, as well as a damage bonus equal to 40% of our damage.
Specialization
After completing Rogue level 15 priority tasks, Rogue has 3 special passive skills to choose from. The first passive we can get is Combo Points. This passive skill will give us 3 Diamonds at the bottom of the screen, which will be filled when we hit an enemy with Puncture. Using core skills will cost these Combo Points to deal massive amounts of damage.
Once we reach level 30, we will unlock the best passive skill for killing bosses, Inner Sight. Inner Sight will use the purple eye-icon target above the target’s head.
Using Core Skills on these targets will fill up our Inner Sight bar. When the bar is full, we have unlimited resources. We can also spam Twisting Blades for 4 seconds before the effect wears off.
Gameplay Tips
The most important thing about playing Twisting Blades Rogue is rhythm. Make sure to start every new battle with Puncture, not only for Combo Points, but we need to make the enemy vulnerable.
We need to use Twisting Blades once or twice on high-value targets and try to dash towards another group of enemies or wherever you think, you will hit the most enemies when Twisting Blades returns. This means you can maximize your damage and Diablo 4 Gold gains. This concept is very important to Twisting Blades Rogue.
Because Poison Imbuement and Shadow Imbuement both generate 2 charges when cast. Therefore, be careful not to waste these charges on Dash or Shadow Step.
Twisting Blades Rogue is all about quick thinking and split-second decision-making, and paying close attention to your available resources and the cooldowns of your abilities will be key to your success.
Legendary Aspects
Here are some easy-to-get Legendary Aspects to take your Twisting Blades Rogue to the next level.
Bladedancer’s Aspect is an absolute must-have for Twisting Blades Rogue, it causes Twisting Blades to circle around you after returning to you, making Twisting Blades one of our best wave clearing abilities. To get this Aspect in your Codex of Power, visit Jalal’s Vigil in Scosglen.
Twisting Blades Rogue is a very resource intensive build. So you need Ravenous Aspect from Dry Steppes’ Shifting City dungeon. This aspect will cause your Puncture to provide you with 50% more resources after defeating a vulnerable enemy.
Edgemaster’s Aspect is a generic Legendary Aspect that works on most classes as a slight damage boost. With enough resources, you take 10% extra damage, and the more resources you consume, the less damage you take. You can find these Legendary Aspects from Scosglen’s Oldstones Dungeon.
Aspect of the Umbral is another useful resource generation aspect that will provide 1 additional resource for each enemy to which we apply Crowd Control effect. Our Puncture slows down every enemy we hit, and our Twisting Blades stun enemies. So 1 extra resource increases over time.
Ghostwalker Aspect increases movement speed after becoming unstoppable. For Twisting Blades Rogue, this is every time we shadow step an enemy. We can get this aspect from Broken Bulwark in Scosglen.
Vampiric Powers
Vampiric Powers in Season 2 adds so much utility for wave clearing and damage if you choose correctly.
- Hemomancy: Increases staggering wave clearing damage every 4 seconds while also slightly increasing our survivability.
- Moonrise: Gives us extra attack speed and extra movement speed, which is perfect for Rogue’s play style.
- Ravenous: Based on our extra movement speed, Ravenous can gain higher attack speed.
- Undying: This Powers pairs perfectly with all of our attack speeds, allowing us to heal whenever we use a skill.
- Prey on the Weak: Boost vulnerable damage.
Twisting Blades Rogue upgrade build in Diablo 4 provides a balanced combination of Crowd Control, Damage Output, and Survivability. Whether you’re a newbie or an experienced player, this guide will help you get through Season 2 efficiently and make your trip to Sanctuary an exciting experience.
