How To Start Pit Of Anguish Quest?

Your adventure kicks off finding Kyros, an NPC nestles in Upper Kurast, Nahantu. And you can see him sitting on stairs southeast of World Tier Statue. Make a conversation with him will automatically trigger the quest and begin a journey into Pit of Anguish.
Then you are required to head to Festering Dark Stronghold and the specific location is marked on the map. You need to fight your way through, defeating hordes of enemies along the way. As you get closer to your destination, the number and difficulty of the enemies you fight will increase dramatically. So it’s best to stay alert.
Once inside, find Reliquary Lantern in an instance which is designed to lead your way through the dark corridors of stronghold and lighten the location of enemies.
Keep going until you are trapped in a dark or obstructed area and miss the disorientation. To advance, you have to place Reliquary Lantern on Warding Braziers scattered throughout the stronghold. And these braziers will be enough to illuminate these areas.
Mastering your timing and positioning is key to getting through the stronghold, as you will encounter enemies that will catch you off guard from time to time.
At the end of the stronghold comes boss Maleficium with powerful attacks. This horrible boss’s weak spot are Warding Braziers, which are scattered throughout the arena. Maleficium cannot be harmed unless he is within the range of the light cast by Braziers.
Since Warding Braziers will inevitably fade out after a short time, pay attention to keep it lit as the fight progresses. Stay mobile and keep away from the boss’s devastating attacks in time, and try to drive it into the lighted area.
Once Maleficium being successfully defeated, go back to Kyros and pick up your next objective. And you are demanded to investigate the Pit of Anguish that nestles in north of the stronghold. Upon arriving, you’ll witness tons of corpses indulging in this area. Interacting with these corpses will trigger waves of enemies, so be ready for battle at all times.
Along the way, a corpse will drop a special Diablo 4 Item called Jeweled Finger of Ezra-Kan, which is quite essential for you to complete the quest. Pick it up and before going back to Kyros.
Rewards For Completing Pit Of Anguish
In Vessel of Hatred expansion, each challenging quest completed will reward players with game resources with high value, and Pit of Anguish quest is the same. The rewards are ranging from crafting materials, Unique items, along with Reputation with key factions. After defeating the main enemies who show up in the stronghold and Pit itself, there are additional rewards, such as valuable gear to help you go over increasingly tough challenges.
