Source: IGGMEA Sports College Football 25 is finally here! Gamers have been suffering from the lack of a new college football game for more than a decade, but that changed this week with the official release date of Friday, July 19, 2024.
While Friday is the official release date for the entire public, some people’s patience has run out. Fortunately, some gamers still have a way to experience the latest version of this college football video game first. For players who pre-order Deluxe Edition, you can start playing the game as early as Monday, July 15 at 4 pm EST. This also applies to players who already have the bundle with Madden 25 and EA Play Early Access.
After a day of Early Access, many players can’t wait to talk about their feelings about this new college football. Here, we have collected some player reviews of this game and talk about my personal opinion.
Smooth Gameplay
First of all, this game is incredible. The game plays very smoothly and realistically.
At first, we played mini-games to get the hang of the game, which was very useful, especially with all QB drills. By the way, when you play QB drills, always pick an excellent quarterback. Don’t hesitate to invest more College Football 25 coins in him, it’s very important for you to win the game.
Note that if you are eager to get more coins, you can follow IGGM discord. There is a Giveaway channel about College Football 25, and we will post some coin giveaway information from time to time. Don’t forget to interact more in our discord group if you want to increase your chances of winning.
In addition to this, there are also drills for each position on the field, so it doesn’t stop there. So far, we haven’t had time to complete all the drills, especially the offensive drill alone took us about three hours to complete.
But in terms of control, I am a little annoyed because it adopts some of the button functions of Madden. For example, the fake in the old NCAA game was L1, but now, you have to double-click the receiver’s button to fake a pass.
Game Modes
Until now, we haven’t touched Dynasty Mode, but we’ll have more to come during the official release weekend. Instead, we chose to start the game on Road to Glory Mode, which will give us a lot of challenges to progress through the game.
We chose the two-star recruit build and started the game as the bench QB in Old Dominion. If you’re like me and like a challenge, you can also start your rating at 60, so that we can spend a full season to build a unique top team. We have to really work hard for everything. This is not one of those modes where you can get promoted just because you play.
NIL Program
On top of that, the groundbreaking NIL program allows us to put up to 11,390 actual players in a college football game for the first time. Add another 5,000 or so models for coaches, fans, created players, and we can generate up to 16,000 character models. It’s a significant feature in the game. Of course, the transfer portal is also there, and during the offseason, you have the opportunity to make moves to rebuild your team!
I haven’t given a full rating for this game yet, as it’s still too early to tell. However, it’s exciting to see that this game looks just as good as I thought it would.
Home Run Derby
Next, I guess I have to give a shout-out to the developers for always knowing how to put on a great Home Run Derby.
Since I personally don’t like the mechanic of an untimed bonus round after a timed round with a pitch limit, the new format was a bit off-putting at first, but it really did add some drama to the game!
The game came down to a final between eventual winner Teoscar Hernández and Bobby Witt Jr. They nearly tied the game in the final inning thanks to this new mechanic. It was brutal, but also a lot of fun! So don’t change this format, you guys are doing a great job.
Constant Server Issues
Despite the amazing gameplay, I have to say that EA Sports College Football 25 has had server issues since its Early Access launch.
Although Early Access was accessible to all players who pre-ordered Deluxe Edition, many people were actually unable to access many of the game’s modes because of the servers being so full. Players have expressed frustration with being unable to access or disconnecting from Early Access launch of College Football 25.
EA has also acknowledged that players have had issues accessing Dynasty Mode online, and they have attempted to resolve this issue by disconnecting the internet on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S consoles so that they can play the mode offline during this time. However, when trying to access Dynasty save files by logging into an EA account, incorrect data was retrieved. Things are getting even more complicated.
To this day, some players are still unable to connect to Dynasty online, although reports of server issues are decreasing. Regardless, expect everything to go well when it comes to the official launch!
That’s all we know about College Football 25 so far during Early Access period. If you haven’t jumped in yet, hopefully this article will help you get more familiar with this college football game and get ready! We hope to see you in the game!
