Source: IGGMWonder Weapons will play a very important role as you explore Zombies mode in Call of Duty Black Ops 6. Players will receive Wonder Weapons after waiting for the random spin of Mystery Box, which can give them a better chance of survival in those dangerous maps. But how do you choose among the many Wonder Weapons? Don’t worry, this guide will introduce you to three Wonder Weapons that many players consider being the best in Zombies mode, one of which is suitable for two maps, and the other two are suitable for Terminus and Liberty Falls, respectively.
1. Ray Gun
- Available Maps: Terminus & Liberty Falls
- Pack-a-Punch Variant: Porter’s X2 Ray Gun
- Ammo Capacity: 20+160
No Zombies exploration would be complete without using Ray Gun. This classic Wonder Weapon has been around since Nacht der Untoten in the previous Call of Duty game, and its appearance has remained the same over the years.
But in Black Ops 6, its damage potential has been enhanced, especially with the ability to Pack-a-Punch it three times. If you combine it with PhD Flopper, which grants yourself-destruct immunity, or Tier 3 Pack-a-Punch Ray Gun, you have a very large and very destructive weapon combination.
While Ray Gun has a slower rate of fire than the other two weapons in this guide, this shortcoming can be effectively improved by placing a Double Tap Root Beer on it. In addition, its DPS is not as good as other Wonder Weapons, so you can choose it at your discretion.
However, it is worth noting that when facing powerful targets such as Mangles, Amalgams or Abominations, Ray Gun’s fire rate is still slow, and you may need to be careful to avoid being attacked by them during the battle.
2. DRI-11 Beamsmasher
- Available Maps: Terminus
- Pack-a-Punch Variant: Supersonic Crusher
- Ammo Capacity: 80+320
DRI-11 Beamsmasher is an exclusive Wonder Weapon in the challenging Terminus map added to Zombie mode. It should be reminded that you need to complete Beamsmasher Quest in this map to obtain this powerful weapon, which may require you to have a lot of mathematical knowledge.
In fact, this DRI-11 Beamsmasher is not an actual weapon, but more like a secondary weapon, because its main source of damage comes from its alternative shooting mode Sonic Pulse ability, which can stun zombies and temporarily put them in a trance.
Zombies under the influence of this effect will be more vulnerable to damage, and Manglers and Amalgams are no exception. So it’s easier to use the flak gun later, because any fast-firing weapon you use will have already quickly eliminated the stunned zombies.
Directed Energy beam is the main firing mode of DRI-11 Beamsmasher, and while it can roast zombies, it’s not the strongest concentrated damage beam in this Wonder Weapon. You can try it many times in CoD: Black Ops 6 Bot Lobbies to find the rhythm that suits you best.
If you accidentally run out of ammunition in combat, the Beamsmasher will also send out a powerful burst of defensive damage to knock down enemies. This makes DRI-11 Beamsmasher one of the most interesting and situational weapons in the game.
3. Thrustodyne M23
- Available Maps: Liberty Falls
- Pack-a-Punch Variant: Scramjet Model 3200
- Ammo Capacity: 100
If you are a loyal player of Call of Duty Black Ops series of games, you will not be too unfamiliar with the powerful Jet Gun Thrustodyne M23. It first appeared in TranZit of Black Ops 2. And now, in Black Ops 6 it’s been significantly improved.
Currently, it absorbs zombies very effectively, and no longer explodes when you run out of ammo. It is also important to remind you that Thrustodyne M23 requires you to complete Jet Gun Quest in Liberty Falls. Like other Wonder Weapons, it can be used in a variety of scenarios because of the nature of its regenerating ammo.
Because Thrustodyne M23 as a Jet Gun is electric-based, you’ll likely spend a lot of time charging with this Wonder Weapon. Or you can use its alternate shooting mode, which only requires you to click L2, LT or Right Key on your controller. In this shooting mode, all the ammunition you fire has exploded, but the trade-off is that you will have to wait longer to recharge.
In the standard shooting mode of Thrustodyne M23, when your ammunition hits an enemy, the zombies will scatter and eventually fall to the ground in pieces. Because of the powerful ability of this Wonder Weapon, you can stand in a corner and wait for the challenge of zombies or pests.
But for Elite Zombies like Manglers and Abominations, Thrustodyne M23 will only stun them, so when you challenge them, you can equip a weapon that can cause substantial damage to them, which at least guarantees that you will safety in combat.
The above are the three most outstanding Wonder Weapons in CoD Black Ops 6. You can choose the one that suits you best according to your game style or the terrain and mechanism on the map you need to challenge.
