Black Myth Wukong: How To Find And Defeat Cyan Loong Hidden In Chapter 3? - Location & Steps
If you are playing Black Myth Wukong, which is based on the traditional Chinese mythology Journey to the West, you will know that there are many optional bosses waiting for your challenge on the vast map. However, since there is no mini-map or map abbreviated version in this game, many players who like challenges and curious players can easily miss those bosses, such as Four Loongs.
Most of these powerful enemies with unique moves will appear in the first four chapters of the game, but the premise is that you have obtained Loong Scales as a Destined One. In Chapter 3, you can find and challenge Cyan Loong in Four Loongs.
In fact, even if you have Loong Scales, the way to find Cyan Loong is relatively difficult. Although when you approach its arena, a dialogue will appear to indicate that you have triggered this boss, there will be many ways to get to the arena. Without the help of a mini-map, you can rely on the locations provided by this guide to find the location of Cyan Loong gradually. You can also use the combat strategies in this guide to defeat it successfully. Without further ado, start exploring!
Step 1 - Find Loong Scales In Chapter 2
When you enter Valley of Despair in Chapter 2, you will meet the father and brother of a giant rat. After you use strategy to defeat them, you need to find a very suspicious wall around the arena. In front of this wall, you need to activate Wandering Wight spirit and smash a passage. You will see a treasure chest in this place, which contains Loong Scales.
At this time, you can find Loong chiefs in the previous chapter and subsequent chapters of Black Myth Wukong. As for Cyan Loong, you also need to defeat Yellow Wind Sage in this chapter and go to Turtle Island in Chapter 3.
Unlike the previous Loong chiefs, Cyan Loong will be very conspicuous - Red Loong in Chapter 1 and Black Loong in Chapter 2 are both hidden behind the waterfall, while Cyan Loong is on the back of a very conspicuous giant turtle waiting for your challenge as Destined One.
Step 2 - Find Cyan Loong In New West
In New West in Chapter 3, you will have a second fight with Macaque Chief at the first Warding Temple you encounter. Once you defeat him, Mysterious Old Man will give you a new spell called Ring of Fire. After that, you can go through Warding Temple.
Outside Warding Temple, you will slide down a snowy hill and enter a cutscene. When you start watching this cutscene, it means you have entered Turtle Island, Cyan Loong’s homeland. If you think you can fight Cyan Loong directly after this cutscene, you are wrong. You still have to face Kang-Jin Star, who can transform into a very powerful dragon.
This is the storyline that you must complete before you can fight Cyan Loong. In addition, you must free Sacred Gourmand from a giant cymbal. Gourmand is a yaoguai deity that looks very much like a pig, and will give you a choice: follow it into the next area of the chapter or explore Turtle Island together?
You should definitely choose the latter. Then you need to use some Black Myth Wukong Items in the nearest Shrine to increase your shock resistance so that you can take less damage during the battle.
Step 3 - Prepare For Cyan Loong Fight
In fact, before deciding to fight Cyan Loong, you need to think about the pros and cons of this fight: you can learn some ways to dodge and counter limited move sets from this fight, but Cyan Loong’s impact is very strong and you will probably spend a lot of time in this fight.
If you think the pros outweigh the cons, then you should prepare for it before the fight, and the most important thing is to increase your impact resistance. You can make your impact resistance stronger by visiting Xu Dog in Crouching Tiger Temple Cellar and using Mind Core. It should be noted that Mind Core can be reallocated, so you can invest most of your resources in impact resistance now.
In addition, you can also use sparks to upgrade your overall Four Banes resistance. However, this is not necessary, you can choose one of the above two methods. But when facing the yaoguai chief, Medicines are definitely very important Black Myth Wukong Items, and you can make some Shock-Quelling Powders before fighting Cyan Loong to protect yourself.
Additionally, your staff and armor are both upgradeable. Of the many staffs, the best choice for fighting Cyan Loong is Kang-Jin Staff, as it can be used to attack Cyan Loong very cleverly with shocks. As for armor, the best is Loongscale Battlerobe armor set, which can be crafted after defeating Kang-Jin Star. This armor, combined with Shock-Quelling Powders, will make you more resistant to shocks.
Step 4 - Start Fighting Cyan Loong
After you have done the above preparations, you can step into the arena where you fight Cyan Loong. When you reach the far end of the turtle, you will see Cyan Loong fishing quietly, but when you get closer, his fishing rod will turn into a giant sword to attack you.
At the beginning of the battle, you can use Shock-Quelling Powder with A Pluck of Many to distract Cyan Loong. It is important to note that before the monkey horde spell ends, try not to use Immobilize on him, as it will consume a lot of your mana and will not cause substantial damage to Cyan Loong.
In addition, when your battle enters the latter stage (when Cyan Loong’s health is about one-third left), Cyan Loong will use a blade in lightning on you. At this time, you must not use transform or use a spirit, but try to use crowd control moves to distance yourself from him.
Occasionally, Cyan Loong will take off to perform a delayed dive bombing and follow-up slash. But Cyan Loong only slashes once, so don’t dodge dive bombs too far away, otherwise you can’t get close enough for light attack combinations and focus attacks. Remember that Cyan Loong’s attack variety is limited.
Unless you need to heal, be sure to dodge its lightning stabs and dive bomb attacks, then perform a few quick strikes. When Cyan Loong’s health is low, use a focus attack, then retreat and dodge. Or cast Wandering Wight spirit to knock it back, and then you can easily defeat it.
Above are the steps to find and defeat Cyan Loong in Black Myth Wukong. Hope you can easily complete the battle against Cyan Loong by following the steps in this guide and get your loot successfully. Have fun playing this game full of ancient Chinese culture!

Black Myth Wukong: What Do The Cutscenes After Each Chapter Mean? - Cutscenes Explanation
In Black Myth Wukong, which is based on the traditional Chinese legend Journey to the West, the developers use amazing scenery and various link designs to immerse players in this beautiful legend. What is really unforgettable is that there will be a beautiful cutscene after each chapter.
In these unique Chinese cultural cutscenes, different stories are told. If you ignored the storyline in these cutscenes during the game, this guide can fully explain it so that you can have a deeper understanding of the overall storyline of the game.
Chapter 1
In the cutscenes of Chapter 1 Black Cloud, Red Fire, a lot of traditional Chinese hand-painted animation styles are used, which can be associated with some ancient animation fables. You will experience all the stories as the monk Jinchi in the animation. If you don’t deliberately look for a Black Myth Wukong Item called Vessel in this chapter, you are likely to miss this character.
This Jinchi here differs completely from Jinchi you need to defeat in Chapter 1. He looks very young and innocent, not the clumsy monster in Ancient Guanyin Temple who is wearing a golden body, because he is not yet affected by the cassock.
In this animation, Jinchi and Black Bear gradually get along well, and Jinchi eventually becomes High Monk of Guanyin Temple with its help. But because of his greed for Sanzang’s beautiful gold Kasaya, he makes a plan to kill Sanzang.
But in the end, his plan was unsuccessful. The fire not only burned his accomplices but also burned himself and the entire temple. So when you face the final boss of this chapter, Black Bear Guai, his body will be covered with flames. The whole animation will end with the conversation between Black Bear and Guanyin, leaving room for players to imagine, and will also make players sigh at Jinchi’s experience and his greed.
Chapter 2
Unlike Chapter 1, the cutscene that appears after Chapter 2 ends is not in the scorching desert that players explore, but a snowy scene, and tells a more thematic story. It is closely related to the core meaning of the entire game and the relationship between the heaven and other creatures in the game world.
In this cutscene, the style of stop-motion animation that has been the favorite of self-media bloggers in recent years is used to tell the story of a wandering scholar and a white fox. He initially rescued the white fox from a trap and let it rest in his hut. When the scholar woke up, the white fox had turned into a beautiful woman.
They lived in harmony and fell in love. Later, they had children and grandchildren, and all family members lived harmoniously in a gorgeous house. But one day when the scholar returned home, the house was covered in blood and the bodies of his family were scattered all over the floor. In the end, he found his wife gnawing at the corpse in a room. She had now turned into a half-human, half-demon monster and looked at him with a predator’s eyes.
He wakes up with a startle, only to find that everything was a dream. He then walks out of the hut with a scarf made of fox fur around his neck - he has killed the white fox that might bring him harm.
As the scholar walks away, the animation ends with the narrator’s contemplation. He discusses the natural order between men, beasts, Buddhas, and YaoGuais, and states that all are given a certain level at birth. This question about the established order of heaven directly reflects Wukong’s challenge to heaven in the game tutorial.
Chapter 3
In the cutscene at the end of Chapter 3, all the scenes and characters do not appear in the player’s exploration, which seems to be a brand-new story, but in fact it also emphasizes the natural order.
At the beginning of the animation, a villager from a poor fishing village fishes out a strange-looking turtle-like creature from the sea. Then, after the creature recovers, it repays the villager by cutting off its own flesh and taking out its own medicine to heal other villagers.
The whole town gradually regards the creature as a religious figure, also called a god. But in the end, they had succumbed to their own greed, constantly attacking the creature they once regarded as a god, and taking as much treasure as possible from its wounds.
When the creature, which had experienced terrible destruction, died on the beach, a mysterious person named Jinchanzi found it. Jinchanzi angrily denounced the greed and ignorance of all the villagers, but the creature said it didn’t matter because it proved that humans were the lowest creatures.
This cutscene has caused great controversy on many social media and in the player community. Many players believe that humans cannot be regarded as the lowest creatures because humans themselves are nobler than all creatures. This guide does not make any comments here, because different people have different ideas.
Chapter 4
The story of the first few cutscenes is a bit obscure, but the cutscene at the end of Chapter 4 is completely different because it shows some events mentioned in this chapter, and the characters also appear in this chapter, especially Violet Spider can provide you with a lot of useful Black Myth Wukong Items.
In addition, this cutscene also fills in the blanks of Zhu Bajie’s background story in the main storyline, because there are many signs in it that Zhu Bajie and Violet Spider have a special relationship. Unlike Zhu Bajie in the main storyline, Zhu Bajie in the cutscene is more like a human heaven marshal.
During this period, Zhu Bajie fell in love with Chang’e, and there was another girl who secretly admired him, who later became Violet Spider. In the process of Zhu Bajie’s pursuit of Chang’e, he made a mistake and was sent to the human world.
Violet Spider followed him into the human world, where they showed their true colors to each other and fell in love, and eventually they had a child. This child is also mentioned in Chapter 4, which indirectly proves that Violet Spider and Zhu Bajie have a special relationship.
Chapter 5
The final cutscene in Chapter 5 also adds some background to the main character of this chapter, Bull King. The entire animation begins with Wukong dying in Bull King’s arms and uses a flashback method to the time when they first became sworn brothers in Journey to the West.
Then Bull King and Wukong stand on opposite sides of the heaven, suggesting that they are now on different sides. In the end, they reconcile, and Wukong apologizes for not being able to help Bull King and Red Boy overcome difficulties.
Besides providing additional background information for Red Boy and Bull King, two key characters in Chapter 5, this scene also further portrays Wukong, who has rarely appeared since the tutorial, suggesting his increasing importance.
The above is the meaning of some cutscenes in Black Myth Wukong. Does it help you understand the background story and the mysteries contained in this game? I hope you can have fun playing this game based on traditional Chinese culture!

Black Myth Wukong: How To Defeat This Tricky Boss In Chapter 5? - Red Boy Guide
Red Boy serves as one of the last two bosses of Chapter 5 in Black Myth Wukong. Although Red Boy is mentioned several times throughout the game, he does not appear until the end of the game. Red Boy bears a pretty menacing outlook in the game, and practically, he is truly of overwhelming power and very hard to deal with.
Red Boy can not be skipped for his identity as an unoptional boss. Therefore, players need to prepare in advance for this tough battle. This guide will detail how to deal with Red Boy and his strategies.
The Identity of Red Boy
Red Boy was born when Princess Rakshasi was forced to drink the water from River of Child-bearing after making the decision to join hands with Sun Wukong. Though Red Boy kept a close relationship with his mother, he never truly considered Bull King as his father after Bull King have submitted to Celestial Court without regard to the suffering of his wife.
When Wukong’s party makes a request for his mother’s fan to continue their journey to West, Red Boy adamantly refuses and without any doubt being attacked by Wukong later.
After the defeat, Red Boy served as a disciple for Bodhisattva Guanyin. But soon he chose to leave and returned to his hometown, intending to take his revenge on his defeat from Wukong through The Destined One.
The Location Of Red Boy
Red Boy resides near Fallen Furnace Crater Keeper’s Shrine, which can be discovered in Field of Fire area. Players can arrive there by sticking to the main path and following Bull King’s “daughter.” Upon reaching the arena, a cutscene will be triggered to disclose the truth about the so-called daughter.
The Truth is that Red Boy has disguised himself as Bull King’s daughter. The fight will immediately begin before the cutscene comes to an end.
The Way To Defeat Red Boy
From his appearance, Red Boy may not be as sturdy and large as most bosses. Therefore, Red Boy is very agile and can perform several attacks persistently without any break, leaving players with limited options to choose. Most attacks of Red Boy are accompanied by fire, so players need to dodge in time to avoid being burned.
Aerial Attacks
One of his most troublesome attacks refers to his clones. Especially under the circumstance that he creates several clones in the air and then attacks the player in a wide range. Players are advised to master the specific time to dodge timely, avoiding being hit since every attack of him is equipped with huge damage potential.
It is best to choose to retreat so that you can expand your vision angle and avoid being attacked because of prior restrictions. Once these clones start moving, be very careful because it represents a signal of attack as well as the clue for you to get ready to dodge.
Fire Blasts
In addition, Red Boy has a very troublesome skill, fire blast. The damage caused by fire is very serious, and if you are not well prepared, you may even be killed in one blow. Therefore, it is best for players to prepare some Black Myth Wukong Items to counteract it in advance to avoid or treat this kind of damage.
Red Boy will primarily employ his staff to deal damage. He mixes of a variety of combos, some of which concluding with the releasing streaks of fire.
Considering the fact that the way Red Boy utilizes fire in combat, Fireproof Mantle can be counted as the most suitable choices to deal with this fight. Because it brings a performance that can make players immune to Burn for a while. This significant item can be embraced by defeating Elder Jinchi, the secret boss of Chapter 1.
In addition, Body-Cooling Powder should be equipped for this battle for the reason that it will increase the player’s resistance to Burn. After defeating Red Boy, players are set to launch a fight with Yaksha King.
When you are unlucky enough to be Burned, the best way to deal with it is to keep rolling around until it dissipates to extinguish the fire.
Dash Attacks
Another thing to pay attention to is his dash attack. First, he will move sideways and then launch a dash attack, so when you see him preparing to move sideways, you must dodge in time or use Rock Solid to counter it.
The above is the sharing of the boss Red Boy in Black Myth Wukong. As the game enters the end, the strength of the bosses you encounter will undoubtedly increase, so you must be patient and take it step by step during this period. Thanks for reading.

Black Myth Wukong: How To Find And Defeat Hidden Mad Tiger In Yellow Wind Ridge? - Tips & Strategies
In Black Myth Wukong, based on the classic Chinese mythology Journey to the West, you’ll be on a long and arduous journey as Destined One through some very spectacular landscapes with powerful opponents to find some truth finally. While some bosses in the game are obstacles to your quest, there are some challenging and fun bosses that are often hidden behind your side quests. For example, there are several hidden bosses in Yellow Wind Ridge in Chapter 2, and the most popular one is Mad Tiger.
This already crazy beast lurks at the bottom of a well you passed by early on. If you don’t have a detailed guide, you can easily overlook this well. This guide will give you an explanation of Mad Tiger’s location, moves, and how to defeat it.
Mad Tiger’s Location
To access Mad Tiger’s hideout, you need to first collect a key Black Myth Wukong Item called Old Rattle-Drum from the optional boss Tiger’s Acolyte near Windrest Hamlet. After you collect the instrument, you begin Old Rattle-Drum quest, and a child’s voice will call you to play it in three locations.
Windrest Hamlet
After you get the key item, you need to return to the small settlement behind Windrest Hamlet Keeper’s Shrine and play your Rattle Drum in the left area surrounded by Withered Corpses.
Windseal Gate
It is important to note that you can do both side quests and main quests in Black Myth Wukong and they do not conflict. So you can use Keeness of Tiger and Sterness of Stone obtained after defeating Tiger Vanguard and Stone Vanguard to unlock the door outside Valley of Despair. After opening the door, turn right and go through the hanging part at the bottom of the stairs to find the second Rattle Drum location.
Sandgate Village
The final Rattle Drum location is actually near the well where Mad Tiger hides. After your fight with Earth Wolf boss there, you will find the location to the left. When you play, the spirit of the little boy will reappear and invite you to enter the hidden Bottom of the Well area. When you follow him to the well, you will experience a very beautiful cutscene. Then your fight with Mad Tiger boss begins.
Mad Tiger’s Attacks
Unlike his brother Tiger Vanguard, who likes to use elaborate martial arts combinations, Mad Tiger will fight you with pure brute force. This means that his punches are very powerful and can shake the ground under his feet. But if you think he is not agile because of his size, you are wrong. Mad Tiger is more explosive and aggressive than Tiger Vanguard. Here are his major attacks and how to deal with them.
Double Claw Slash
Double Claw Slash is Mad Tiger’s basic combo, which includes a delayed but very damaging double paw swing. Its right paw swings from bottom to top, while its left paw swings from top to bottom. The trick to defeat this skill is also very simple. You need to roll relative to the swing delay to avoid its swing attack.
Rapid Claw Slash
Rapid Claw Slash is performed after two Double Claw Slashes, and ends with an outward cross. To counter this skill, you still need to choose a good time to avoid the first Double Claw Slashes, and then immediately roll again to avoid the last faster cross.
Somersault Slam
After you do the cross, Mad Tiger will start to somersault and slam to the ground when you land. As mentioned above, its slam is very powerful, so when it starts to somersault, you can immediately move away from it, preferably behind it. Then, when it lands, immediately dodge to the side.
AOE Roar
After you dodge all the slams, you’ll get to its next move - AOE Roar. Mad Tiger will herald the start of this phase with a roar that shakes the entire arena. After the roar, a lot of boulders will fall from the ceiling of the cave. However, in some actual explorations, many players did not experience the boulders falling, but were hurt by a basic combo. Your best strategy for dealing with the roar, falling rocks, and basic combos is to run away, otherwise you will be hurt unpredictably.
Stomp And Slam
After the roar, Mad Tiger will start stomping, then rush at you and kick you. If you are hit by it, you will also receive a very heavy swing, which will send you flying into the air, and then Mad Tiger will perform a powerful slam on you.
This series of moves will cause your health to drop significantly. If you don’t want to be defeated by Mad Tiger too early, you can use the corresponding Black Myth Wukong Items at some Keeper’s Shrines to increase your maximum health and create some stronger armor. When facing these attacks, you need to know that stomping will not cause you any damage, but you still need to roll to avoid the remaining damage.
Rock Slam
If you persist here and have not been defeated by Mad Tiger, Mad Tiger will dig a huge rock out of the ground, jump into the air, and use this rock to attack you. What you need to do at this time is run! Run in the opposite direction.
Grab Attack
In addition, Mad Tiger has a Grab Attack that is combined with the previous attacks. It will first jump at you and then grab you with its left arm. Once you are grabbed by Mad Tiger, you will be thrown into control and hit three times. So obviously, the only way to break Grab Attack is to dodge as much as possible.
What To Do Before Fighting Mad Tiger?
With the aforementioned attacks, it’s important to bring some good gear, most importantly Black Myth Wukong Items that provide you with defensive abilities. Here are some good choices:
- Evil Repelling Medicament
- Back Scratcher and Agate Jar Curios
- Gale Guardian Armor Set
- Wind Tamer Vessel
- Wandering Wight’s Spirit
If you’ve already defeated Fuban, the incomplete Insect set might be a better choice, but the complete Gale Guardian set increases Focus buffs and reduces spell cooldowns on every Perfect Dodge.
In addition, Wind Tamer Vessel and Wandering Wight Spirit will further increase your defense, and Spirit’s headbutt can also deal with significant damage and stun Mad Tiger, allowing you to punish him.
Battle Strategy
In your fight with Mad Tiger, playing it safe is key. In addition, you need to pay close attention to its grab attack, roar, and earthquake move, because the attack direction of these moves is unpredictable.
In terms of spell selection, you can give priority to Rock Solid, because it can help to resist Mad Tiger’s attack in time, especially in some special moments. In addition, A Pluck of Many can also allow you to summon your clone to attract Mad Tiger’s attention so that you can cause more damage to it. Mad Tiger is also very afraid of Burn Bane, so you can use Red Tides transformation more often, which will be more threatening to it. Most importantly, be sure to arrange the timing of each combo, such as after its combo ends. This way you can maximize the damage to it.
After you defeat Mad Tiger using the right strategy, you will get one Blood Of The Iron Bull, two Yarn, and two pieces of Silk. Then you can explore other areas. Have fun playing this beautifully crafted game!

Black Myth Wukong: How To Deal With This Boss In Chapter 2? - Black Loong Guide
To defeat all the major enemies in Black Myth Wukong, you will inevitably face a battle with the powerful Black Loong. Some obstacles or special statues in the game may hide certain secrets. Usually, in order to unlock these secrets, you need to complete specific side quests to reveal them.
Having the right items can lead you to find the path to the arena, where you will meet the powerful Black Loong. This guide is designed to teach you how to defeat Black Loong.
Where Is Black Loong?
Black Loong is hidden behind the waterfall of sand in Fright Cliff area. To find this waterfall, you need to go to Rockrest Flat shrine and climb the stairs on the right. But without the correct Black Myth Wukong Items, the sand will continue to fall. To stop the flow of sand, you need to use Loong Scales item.
This unique item is hidden in the place where you fight First Prince of Flowing Sands. You need to go through Valley of Despair shrine in Sandgate Village area. Going through the caves, you will reach a large arena. On the wall surrounding the arena, there are many statues. You can use Wandering Wight spirit to break this wall.
If you have already fought First Prince of Flowing Sands, they may have broken through the wall during the fight. Once the wall is broken, an interaction point will appear. Go through this point to a room with a chest in the center from which you can retrieve Loong Scales.
What Should You Equip Before A Fight?
Since Black Loong is an optional boss, you can complete Chapter 2 of the game without defeating him. If you have already entered Chapter 3 and defeated Kang-Jin Star, you can craft Loongscape armor set to provide you with shock resistance. If you are still in Chapter 2, it is best to prepare the best armor and weapons before the fight. Crafting as many Shock-Quelling Powders as possible will remove the shocked state and increase your defense against shock damage. It would be a good idea to consider equipping Wandering Wight spirit to improve your defense.
How To Beat Black Loong?
The key to defeating Black Loongs is to be familiar with their attack patterns and avoid them accurately. It is equipped with two huge maces that occasionally charge up and release electric shocks, which will cause shock effects. In combat, Black Loong will perform three-hit combos using maces. In addition, they will also perform a series of slam attacks. However, you can usually dodge them easily. When Black Loong completes its combo, you will have a great opportunity to counterattack.
Black Loong will also perform a jump attack, followed by a large arc attack in front of them. Since this series of moves covers a wide area in front of them, you will need to dodge and get behind Black Loong just as they are about to land. If you get too close to a Black Loong, it may start hitting one mace with another, creating an area attack. The best tactic is to keep your distance and wait for Black Loong to stop moving.
One of the most dangerous attacks of Black Loong is the frontal swing attack. First, they will slowly cross their arms in front of them and swing their maces. After a few seconds, a small tornado will form around them, and this move will end with a frontal electric swipe. You will need to use Immobilize and perform a heavy attack on it.
The second powerful skill of Black Loong in combat is to release electric circles. When they are about to use this skill, you will notice.
When Black Loong breathes electricity into its mace. You need to distance yourself from them immediately. After a few seconds, Black Loong will slam to the ground, creating a shockwave that spreads across the arena as electric circles.
It will slam the ground twice slowly, followed by two faster slams. To avoid the first electric circles, you should dodge as soon as they approach. For the next two, you need to dodge once when the electric circles are about to arrive, then quickly press the dodge button again after the electric circles pass. After the attack, Black Loong will raise both maces and slam them into the ground. When they lift the maces off the ground, they release a huge electric circle.
Drop Rewards
After defeating Black Dragon, you will receive one Mind Core, a Loong Pearl and two Refined Iron Sand, as well as 2770 Experience Points and 1576 Will after defeating Black Dragon. Additionally, by climbing the stairs, you will open a treasure chest to obtain a Thunderbone and Tridacna Pendant curios.
Through careful preparation and a deep understanding of Black Loong’s attack patterns, you will be able to effectively avoid its attacks and find opportunities to counterattack. Now that you have the knowledge you need to face Black Loong, enter the game and defeat it.

Black Myth Wukong: How To Find All Luojia Fragrant Vines Without A Map?
In Black Myth Wukong, which is based on the traditional Chinese legend Journey to the West, there are about 15 Luojia Fragrant Vines that you can use to increase the capacity of Gourds. Although you don’t have to collect all 15 Luojia Fragrant Vines, it is always helpful to collect more. However, in Black Myth Wukong, without a full map or mini-map, it is difficult to find the specific location. This guide will teach you how to find all of Luojia Fragrant Vines using Keeper’s Shrines found in each area.
Chapter 1
The closest Keeper’s Shrine to the first Luojia Fragrant Vine you enter the game is in Marsh of White Mist in Bamboo Grove. If you return to Keeper’s Shrine to rest after defeating the first two-stage boss you encounter, Whiteclad Noble Boss, you will see a tilted stone pillar directly opposite you. As you approach, you’ll find a recessed room behind the stone pillar. Inside this room, on a tree, is the first Luojia Fragrant Vine you encounter.
Chapter 2
There was only one Luojia Fragrant Vine in Chapter 1, but there are two in Chapter 2. When you enter Yellow Wind Formation and reach Windrest Bridge, you’ll see a Keeper’s Shrine. You can use Black Myth Wukong Items you obtained earlier to craft weapons or armor.
Near Keeper’s Shrine, you’ll see a path that you can follow until you reach a nearby village. You’ll need to use a little strategy to reach a gate in the back left corner of the village, as you’ll need to fight some enemies. Once you’ve cleared all the enemies, you can go through the gate and find your second Luojia Fragrant Vine on a nearby tree.
Another Luojia Fragrant Vine is near Keeper’s Shrine at Windseal Gate. Similarly, you need to follow the path behind Keeper’s Shrine and you will encounter a Yellow Wind Ridge boss called Gore-Eye Daoist. It is also the guardian of the tree with Luojia Fragrant Vine, and you need to defeat it to obtain Luojia Fragrant Vine.
Chapter 3
The fourth Luojia Fragrant Vine is special. Although I put it in Chapter 3, you still need to find it on Black Wind Mountain. In short, after you pass Chapter 2, you need to return to Keeper’s Shrine near Marsh of White Mist in Black Wind Mountain. You will find that there is no invisible wall blocking you in the alcove behind Keeper’s Shrine this time. After entering the alcove, you will meet a Shen Monkey and you can talk to it. The fourth Luojia Fragrant Vine is in his shop.
The next Luojia Fragrant Vine is next to a Keeper’s Shrine near Outside Wheel in Pagoda Realm. You need to climb the stairs to the right of Keeper’s Shrine, and at the top of the stairs you will find a water-filled area.
In the middle of the water, a tree with the fifth Luojia Fragrant Vine is waiting for you. To finally reach the tree, you will need to defeat the enemies in the water.
As you explore Bitter Lake, keep an eye out for Keeper’s Shrine on the north shore of Bitter Lake, as there is also a Luojia Fragrant Vine nearby. Once you reach the north shore, position yourself to the right of the body of water so you don’t get confused.
You can then follow the shore into an area with a large bone and two lit braziers on the left. You need to pass through these two braziers and climb the stairs, turning left when you reach the second pair of braziers. Be sure to keep your eyes on the front of you at all times, as you will find the sixth Luojia Fragrant Vine in a tree behind the second pair of braziers.
The last Luojia Fragrant Vine in Chapter 3 is near Keeper’s Shrine on Longevity Road in Valley of Ecstasy. After you craft or upgrade, you will see a snow slope to the left of Keeper’s Shrine. Go down it. You will see a staircase at the end of the snow slope, and continue walking in this direction. After you pass through a wooden door and another flight of stairs, you will see the tree with the seventh Luojia Fragrant Vine right in front of you.
Chapter 4
As with the fourth Luojia Fragrant Vine, you need to use the fast travel mechanism in Black Myth Wukong to return to Marsh of White Mist Keeper’s Shrine in Black Wind Mountain after entering Chapter 4. You will find the eighth Luojia Fragrant Vine in Shen Monkey’s shop, where you can also get some Black Myth Wukong Items. Don’t be surprised, you can do the same in Chapter 5.
When you officially explore Webbed Hollow in Chapter 4, you will see a Keeper’s Shrine next to Verdure Bridge. At this time, our eyes are not on Keeper’s Shrine, but on the small bridge on the left.
After crossing the small bridge, turn to your left and you will reach a section with two lanterns. Here you will face a choice: take the left road or the right road? If you are a player who likes challenges, you can take the right path, because there will be many bosses waiting for you. If you just want to get Luojia Fragrant Vine as soon as possible, you can choose the left one. Don’t worry about missing it, because the final end of both paths is the same, a small village. At the gate at the entrance of the village, you will see the tree with the ninth Luojia Fragrant Vine.
After you defeat Yellow Loong, one of the most powerful bosses in Black Myth Wukong, you can explore Relief of Fallen Loong in the current area. At this time, you don’t need to rely on Keeper’s Shrine to help you find it, because you can directly use Relief of Fallen Loong as a marker. You need to go to the tunnel in the outdoor area next to Relief of Fallen Loong. At the entrance, you can see the tree with the tenth Luojia Fragrant Vine.
After you leave Mountain Trail Keeper’s Shrine next to Temple of Yellow Flowers, remember to turn back 180 degrees and continue forward. This will take you all the way to the tree with the eleventh Luojia Fragrant Vine. If there is none, you can return to the last location to reorient yourself.
In Chapter 4, there is a secret area called Purple Cloud Mountain. To the left of Valley of Bloom’s Keeper’s Shrine in this area is a small pond. You will see the tree with the twelfth Luojia Fragrant Vine on the bank of the pond.
Chapter 5
The method of obtaining the thirteenth Luojia Fragrant Vine in Chapter 5 is similar to the previous ones, so I won’t describe it here. But I need to remind you that you have to interact with Shen Monkey every time you go to him.
You will have a difficult battle with Father of Stones in Height of Ember in Chapter 5. After you defeat it, remember to run around the entire arena and you will find a path leading to the fourteenth Luojia Fragrant Vine at the far end of the arena.
For the last Luojia Fragrant Vine, you need to start looking near Fallen Furnace Crater Keeper’s Shrine in Field of Fire. You need to go back along the slope of Keeper’s Shrine, and then you will find that the metal ball you dodged before has cleared a path for you on the left.
This path leads to the arena where you fight Flint Vanguard. But you can choose not to fight him, because the last Luojia Fragrant Vine is right at the entrance of the arena.
These are all Luojia Fragrant Vine locations in the current 5 chapters of Black Myth Wukong. I hope this guide can help you in your quest to find them. And I wish you a merry time playing this very popular game!
