Last Epoch Season 2 Endgame Crafting 5 New Features: What Are Their Effects?
Although it was born later and cannot match Diablo 4 or POE 2 in terms of maturity and player base, this does not mean that Last Epoch is not good enough. In fact, it has done a good job within its capabilities! The game was officially released in February 2024, and it also brought Season 1, which received excellent reviews from players. Now Season 2 will finally meet you on April 17, 2025!
In fact, this release date has been postponed. Originally, Last Epoch planned to release a new season on April 2, but considering the competitiveness of the new patch of POE 2, it was finally changed to April 17. Although the time is delayed, if you want to adapt to Season 2 as soon as possible, it is necessary to understand the new changes it brings in advance. Based on this, we will introduce you to the 5 new features of endgame crafting.
What Is Endgame Crafting?
There is a complete and huge crafting system in Last Epoch, almost all items can be crafted and upgraded in this way. You can even modify affixes, add new modifiers, and use exotic crafting materials for more advanced crafting in this system. You can just call this system “Forge”. As for endgame crafting, as the name suggests, it is a crafting method that is more suitable for the endgame stage.
Changes In Season 2 Endgame Forge
In terms of overall difficulty, Last Epoch will be easier to get started than POE series. Under this premise, the endgame crafting in Last Epoch is more complicated, but it is precisely because it can provide more benefits that it is popular with players. In order to maintain this advantage of Forge, Season 2 adds more new content.
1. Reforged Set Items
After entering Season 2 endgame stage, you will encounter many more dangerous enemies and bosses. If you can defeat them, you can not only get Last Epoch Gold as loot, but also find Forge of Shattering guarded by the enemy.
Here you can disassemble the sets you already have but are not useful, to obtain set shards and then use these shards to make Reforged Set items. These new sets will generate specific affixes based on the original sets, which may make the new sets you create better.
In addition, when your Reforged Set items get a new affix, the item will provide you with a set bonus. Generally speaking, set affixes can be made up to level 5, but if you use the new Rune of Havoc, you may get T6 or T7 set affixes.
2. Idol Enchanting
Like the name of Season 2, Tombs Of The Erased, you may encounter many bosses in Tombs or Cemeteries in the endgame stage. After defeating them, you will find a Woven Enchanter, which allows you to enchant your class’s idol (different classes can enchant different types) and give it new affixes-this practice can be called Enchanted Affixes and some Weaver’s Touch.
As you kill enemies, you can upgrade the idol by consuming Weaver’s Touch, which can upgrade existing enchantments or add new ones when the idol has a slot. Enchantments are unique compared to normal affixes in that they come from a completely new pool of affixes and can be upgraded to level 7.
The number of times you can use Woven Enchanter varies depending on the situation, such as Tombs allows you to use it once, Cemeteries allow you to use it twice, and some Woven Echoes allow you to use it up to four times. However, if you want to re-enchant an enchanted idol, all added enchantments and Weavers Touch will be removed, so please proceed with caution.
3. Attribute Swapping
Observer will protect Relic of the Observer in Divine Era from Osprix stationed in Abandoned Tower in Oerden’s Watch, and recapture Refortified Lich’s Tower from Imperial forces in Imperial Era. When you time travel between the two towers, if you can defeat both armies and successfully seize Relic of the Observer, this powerful artifact can help you change the attributes of your items.
This artifact can replace unsealed attribute affixes with other attributes of your choice, and even the level and random range of the replaced affixes will be retained on the new affixes. But it is worth noting that since vitality is always in the hands of Eterra, you cannot replace and choose vitality or + all attributes affixes.
4. Craft Experimental Items
After entering the endgame, Weavers’ web may take you to Rune Prison Complex fortress, where exiled mages from all over the in-game world are imprisoned. When you sneak in here and open the rune cage, you will start a fight with the rune guards because you anger them. Simply defeat them to unlock the device used by the rune mages to create experimental items, so that you can make experimental items yourself.
In this way, you will have the opportunity to master forbidden arcane knowledge, and you can also replace the prefixes on belts, boots and gloves with experimental affixes. If you want to craft items, you must ensure that any item you want to craft has at least two prefixes.
5. Rerolling Unique Items
Nothing is more frustrating than getting a unique item drop, only to find that the implicits and affixes attached to it are not good enough. In order to improve this situation, Season 2 has made adjustments to it: as long as you sacrifice the item first, Weaver will give you the opportunity to enter the sacrificial altar, so that you can re-roll the implicits and affixes of the unique item.
In fact, besides the part about endgame crafting, Season 2 also brings a lot of new content worth experiencing to Last Epoch. Let us look forward to the arrival of the new season together!

Last Epoch Season 2 Tombs Of The Erased: Release Date Delayed To April 17, 2025
There are many games in ARPG field, but among Diablo-like games, the excellent games are not only Path of Exile and Diablo. In the field of players, their love for Last Epoch is no less than that of Path of Exile.
Just after Path of Exile 2 and Diablo 4 announced their new version plans, Last Epoch also announced all the details and release date of their season 2. Players will be able to experience new bosses and new items in the world of Eterra, and find gold and equipment in new dungeons. However, for some reasons, the release date of Last Epoch Season 2 has been postponed.
Content Of Season 2
Since Last Epoch has ended its 5-year early access, you can now join Last Epoch and experience a deeper class design than Diablo 4 and a more complete plot experience than Path of Exile 2. Therefore, Last Epoch Season 2 will be a strong competitor to these two games.
In Last Epoch Season 2 Tombs of the Erased, players will face a new faction called The Woven. They are not new face, and veterans of the game will be familiar with Weaver. However, in Season 2, Weaver has become more important. Players will have access to the full Woven faction tree. The Woven faction is separate from the other faction choices, and your faction in Merchant’s Guild or Circle of Fortune will not be affected.
The Woven faction tree, combined with the new levels of Woven Echoes, greatly expands the player’s end-game options. You will also encounter a stronger, more difficult enemy called a Champion, who will drop Last Epoch Gold and other items with exclusive new affixes when defeated. Weavers can use sacrifices to reset the affixes of powerful items. There are also new tombs and graveyard areas for players to explore, and more end-game boss battles will be added to the game, including Uber Aberroth Variant.
Monolith of Fate, the core system of the late game, will see a major upgrade, and dungeons will be improved, with more challenging new elite enemies and late-game boss fights. Defeating them will earn new Last Epoch items and a lot of gold. In addition, as the mysterious villain Woven grows stronger, players will face new challenges with Woven Echoes and can use the special Weaver faction tree to strengthen Monolith of Fate and customize your later development path.
In addition to the above, the game has also been adjusted in terms of class. There are 5 classes in the game: Acolyte, Primalist, Sentinel, Rogue, and Mage. The much-anticipated Sentinel will be reworked on a large scale, eliminating some of the limitations of Sentinel to make him as well as other classes. Now, Sentinel will have more mobility and defensive options, and will find many new and redesigned passive nodes to try. Of course, you can also try all the changes in the second season of all other classes, such as the new Rogue skill Heartseeker. All classes will receive balance adjustments.
The developer also emphasized a number of game experience optimizations, such as adding teleportation points to facilitate players to go to the two major faction strongholds of The Bazaar and The Observatory, and improving the handle operation, optimizing the target locking mechanism of different skills to make it more in line with the skill design concept.
Season 2 Release Date Postponed
The original release date of Last Epoch Season 2 was April 2, while the original release date of Path of Exile 2 Patch 0.2.0 was March 20. But shortly after Last Epoch announced the release date of Season 2, Path of Exile 2 announced that the release date would be postponed to April 4 due to technical reasons, just two days later than Last Epoch. However, since the two games belong to the same game type, there will definitely be a large loss of players on one side.
In order to avoid this situation, the developers of Last Epoch, which considers itself a small-scale game, announced that Last Epoch Season 2 had to be postponed again, until April 17th. This is undoubtedly terrible news for all players who are waiting for Season 2.
Last Epoch bluntly stated in the announcement that they postponed the release just to avoid competition with Path of Exile 2, and did not use any technical reasons as an excuse. Such an open and honest statement made Last Epoch win the favor of players.
And this very obvious “sniping” behavior of Path of Exile 2 is obviously not glorious, of course we cannot rule out that Path of Exile 2 is really postponed due to technical reasons. The advantage of Path of Exile 1 is that the developers have very high development efficiency, but after Path of Exile 2 went online, Path of Exile 2 lost this advantage because the two games were running at the same time. It has to be admitted that the development efficiency of Path of Exile 2 is a bit slow.
The postponement of the second season is indeed frustrating, but for players who have not tried Last Epoch, this is a great time. Before the new season starts, you still have plenty of time to collect Last Epoch Items and clear the story once to prepare for the upcoming challenges. For old players, this second season will undoubtedly bring you a brand new gaming experience.
